First time applicant

I got partial funding and the remaining fund was sponsored by a non-relative: a family friend which I clearly stated. I almost got discouraged because I wasn’t using a relative but I just trusted God.

5. I received an acknowledgment of the last web form Aug 9
6. I sent emails every week day from the end of September and October. I also copied the minister’s office in one. I got a response after a month from his office that I had ed background and medicals but eligibility hadn’t been decided (in October)
7. I started classes online in September. I sent proof of enrollment in October via email.

This process was excruciating. I don’t do well with waiting. I’m grateful it has ended. By the mercy and favour of God, things worked out for MY GOOD! It felt like I was running out of time but God was perfecting everything.

I saw a confession here that I used to say regularly. I also had one from the Bible - Genesis 39:21

21 But the Lord was with Joseph (I PERSONALIZED THIS), and shewed him (HER) mercy, and gave him (HER) favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (CANADIAN VISA OFFICERS AND IMMIGRATION OFFICERS).

This journey is not for the faint hearted but I’m really grateful for the mercy and favour of God. All glory to God. I couldn’t have done it in my own strength!

Am I in a dream? This is surreal!
Thank you Jesus. I’m really grateful to God for perfecting this testimony. I pray for those trusting God for an approval. He won’t fail you. Congratulations in advance. I celebrate with you.

PS: I wrote this timeline months ago as a declaration of my faith in the sovereign power of God. Thank you Jesus for a dream come true.

You have a strong point, which you must express in your SOP in detailed.
Your GCMS note will drop in your email. Just wait for it to tackle the right refusal reason.
So your LOE will do the work for that.

You need not show that company closed down, only if you’ve done so in your previous application then you should maintain your same storyline. If not, You can just express in a form that you left to start up your own from Experience gathered which should give you room for Career progression and come back home to your business with other home ties you had.

That you want to acquire more istrative skill to be better.

I believe you should be fine.

I worked for a company between 2018 to 2020 as assistant istrative manager.
The company closed down due to some reason beyond their control.

I ed my company "Limited" in 2020, which will focus on consulting and outsourcing. This company has not done much though but I have an enterprise company which I opened in 2018 that was for general business of buying and selling. I have ed the LTD with the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Labour for the outsourcing part.

But my first degree was Economics and I am going for Master of istration in Leadership, I am giving the VO the point that I have a little knowledge of istration. But prospective clients wants an outsourcing company with a background degree or second degree in istration or outsourcing.

I am self sponsored.

The first application was bungled by the agent she didn't submit SOP, MBS and some other stuffs and it painful.
My hometies will be my wife, kids, business and parent.

Please hope I have strong point

I have drafted a new SOP and LOE and I am putting all documents in place.

Plus; my dad is a British citizen can I add his data page hope this won't cause any issue please. Though he runs a business here in Nigeria.

I have applied for my gcms, please will the gcms drop in my mail box or my gckey portal. I am a total novice on this journey and I am ready to right all my wrongs.

To start with, I'm a first time applicant and more of a silent reader on the thread.

The idea of getting a PR erupted in my mind in 2019 and I decided to take IELTS where I had an overall score of 8.0 but somehow Covid 19 came by and affected all the plans and I abandoned it midway, the zeal was never really there because I had always been an advocate of "Nigeria is filled with milk and honey, we can make it better, why leave for another man's country", hence, it was easy to let go of the idea.

The next phase started in November 2020 when I suddenly got tired of the country and the way we were headed. I woke that early morning without having an idea of the country I wanted to travel to even if its temporarily, though Canada had always been in my subconscious, however at this point I was ready and determined to step out of the shores of this country for once. I went online and researched, then I came across Victor Ola's Travel Guide to Canada without IELTS and I bought it. I studied it for some days, did further research online and commenced application into Canadian colleges. I wished I had come across this thread before now.

I applied to Durham College - got rejected based on educational gap;
Algonquin College - got rejected based on educational gap
Confederation College - abandoned the application because they referred that they use agents

Centennial College - got ission a month after my application (submitted First Degree transcripts, Certificate, CV with 8years experience in Constructions, Consulting and facilities management) without IELTS though I had one and applied to study Construction Management. I was advised to defer ission till Fall 2021 if I wanted to come to Canada based on Covid 19 procedures, otherwise I will have to settle for online classes if i wanted to commence classes in May 2021, so i opted for Fall (Sept 2021).

I was first issued a deposit ission letter to be replaced with a full ission offer letter after making a payment of $2650 to secure a spot as I was advised the spots for the course gets filled very fast. I immediately made the payment and secure the offer letter a week later.

I started arranging the required documents needed to commence temporary visa application. I forgot to mention I already have first and second degrees in Civil Engineering in 2011 and 2017 respectively with 8years working experience. However, I could not include the masters certificate because of my College aspirations (got to know about this through the guide I purchased, thanks to the guide too)

Biometrics Completed on June 28th
Then came the dead silence for about 3months,

When it became evident that it's likely I don't get a response before school resumes in September, I wrote to the school requesting to defer my ission to January 2022 and it was acknowledged and granted with a new LOA issued after 2weeks. I didn't however this, I only requested incase IRCC requested for additional documents.

I was becoming impatient and I had to raise a webform on the 28th of September, then came the Medical request on the 29th of September. After raising the webform prior to receiving the medical invite, I became glued to my profile hoping for an update but there came none, I got closed the IRCC tab on my laptop and stepped angrily out of my office at exactly 12noon on the 29th and stepped out of my office only to come back 30mins later and saw a mail asking to check my profile, it seemed as the VO treating my file saw me when I got angry and left my office.

Medical was done at IOM Abuja on the 13th of October and I ed the document issued by IOM through webform on the 14th. IOM confirmed medicals was okay and has been transmitted to IRCC on the 15th with IRCC updating my profile to medicals ed on the same 15th of October.

I checked my profile like every second from the 15th till I suddenly got a mail on the 18th around 11am, my heart almost fell out of my mouth and I saw BVL, I almost fell off my chair with joy and I was expecting PPR since I had read in the thread that some people got their PPR immediately after BVL. The day eventually ended without the PPR in sight, then I became slightly worried again.

The PPR eventually came in on the 20th around 11am, I was in a meeting when I saw the mail and I could not concentrate anymore. I took a toilet break and went into my office, locked the door and the blinds and prayed first then i proceeded to to my profile and with my heartbeat already racing twice than normal. There lies the PPR and I went down on my knees to thank God for the favor for I am a sinner.

There goes the story folks, the ending and landing part will be concluded when all is finally tidied. Thanks for the patience and I pray all being expectant of their PPR will get it In Sha Allah.

It’s quite too early requesting for it. I’m sure you requested for it after one month to get this today since application was August 7.

It’s not advisable requesting for GCMS note just after one month of application as this is what you will see, BLANK.

(1) You need to exercise patience.
(2) Normal processing time has not been exceeded. I think last I saw on their website was 13 weeks or thereabout.
(3) There’s update on it actually as I just rechecked. Criminality, Medical and Info sharing ed.

You can start sending friendly mails and web form to hasten your application.

I wrote my Sop myself because I couldn’t pay the outrageous fees some guys asked .
Only God can do this . Yours is coming in Jesus name . My heart is so filled with joy and I can’t type much . I want to encourage someone this morning that, don’t give up and you can do it yourself if you believe in God . He is a God who can not lie .

I felt this late in August too… The pain to commit suicide sef or never to try again but don’t think it, it will and you will eventually be fine after some weeks.

(1) Share the screenshot of the generic reasons.
(2) Request for GCMS note to know the exact reason.

Yes He can.
Subjected that you can show the relationship, family tree, evidence of his past with proof, Why is He ing you ? You need to be convincing… Your SOP must be solid

Then for him to you, He must show his source of income in details, then enough fund way more that your overall cost because question of; How will be fair for his own direct family if he’s spending such money on you ? Meaning He must have over enough.

Then in addition, you need to show your own source of income too, payslip, assets if you have, statement of , to show that you are also Okay.

You also stated that you’re married.
So you need to share details on it too, How will your wife fair in your absence?
Source of income for her, maybe her payslip, property fetching her incomes …

So you have a lot to work on but it’s all possible.

I finished school in 2012, studied Business Management but want to apply for HR and I ahve been working in HR for over 6years.

My concerns are can my uncle act as my sponsor ( my parents died when I was little and he was the person who trained me in school and I lived with until I got married) because I'm currently 32 years.

Will I have to show my Statement of ?

If Yes, what's the minimum balance that you can advise to be in it.

Did you order your GCMS note the first time to know the exact issue they had with funds ?

Kindly take your time to address the issue perfectly this time.
I’m not perfect myself, I had same delay the first time and I’m trying to re-tackle again…

But pls don’t rush.
Trace back your steps;
(1) Did you pay school fees to show your commitment ?
(2) Did you submit your own bank statement also ?
(3) Do you have funds in your own bank if submitted ?

I’m thinking Maybe they are not convinced the funds in your parent are for your studies alone.
Don’t give up.

My 1st refusal reason was due to funds. And now I did submitted BMS of over 46m and assets of over to 30mil. All to be sponsored by my parents.

But I still got a second refusal on October 14. I got confused sef on the other grounds they pointed because I see it as irrelevant.

This makes it 2 refusals this year...we keep pushing expecting my gcms note....

what u will have in ur port is Temporary residence Visa.its not ur study permit. when u get to Canada is when they will give u ur study permit and that's when it starts counting.The TRV only allows u to Enter Canada.

What we need exactly is not just timeline but documents submitted in details so others can learn.

Well, let me start by asking that did you start class online since September before the deferral ?

If Yes, Then kindly send a pleading mail to school, explaining in details about the the permit you just got. You might be lucky to have your deferral reversed.


If No, have you sent your port for stamping ?
If No, then kindly initiate numerous mail and web form to IRCC with new LOA before sending port for stamping, explaining the whole in details. They might have you stamped for Fall 2022.

If Yes, still send them email and web form with sincerity of your challenge.

My opinion though.

But please wait for Gurus response anyway to advise you properly

Apart from GIC, you have lot to work on;
1. You are married.
How will she fair in your absence ?
You need to show she will be financially fine in your absence… Her work, payslip, Assets, anything to show…
You also need to show your statement of with funds too…

Your parent paying for your GIC won’t be enough because of your wife.
