I’m Hi,
I saw your other posts that you reapplied and also didn’t request GCMS note, but this is a mistake not advisable.
I understand the pressure and pain from refusal (I was refused once too in early 2021 but, took my time to get it right same year after GCMS note and back to board) Mostly, GCMS note is required to tackle the exact reason for refusal in your next application, even though new reasons could still come up if care is not taken.

In most cases, it’s easy to tackle if you know your mistake with comprehensive LOE and justice in your documentation.
If you haven’t heard from them still, maybe I can still review your previous submission to point out your possible errors:

(1) You are a family man, (wife and son). Even though you’re the only one traveling, IRCC always look at plan of survival for your family in your absence. If you’re traveling alone and having 12m in ? It’s not even sufficient for 1 year cost of living, and you only paid one semester tuition still.

Let’s assume it is, how will your family survive in your absence ? Did you show your wife is capable of take care of the family without depending on you (the same 12m) ? Like her job, paystub and other related stuffs ?
Also saw that the same 12m was received from your wife (deed of gift). It’s so contradicting that you are capable but it’s still your wife that gifted you without her own source of income !
Align your story that you yourself can believe if you’re in IRCC shoe.

(2) I really don’t see much weight the 16m in investment hold because can they validate the money is accessible to you when needed ? From the term alone (Investment, mostly tied to time) IRCC is only after money that is accessible to you.

(3) You didn’t mention you submitted your paystub, so I won’t assume you submitted. According to your post, work appointment letter and ID is not enough proof. Comprehensive work history and documentation matters a lot. Even in the future when talking about PR. Some people leave out some work experience during study permit and want to claim point for them in express entry for PR. IRCC are too smart that they will point it out that why was that job not mentioned in your study permit application years back ? So be detailed from beginning in your Canada journey.

(4) You receives annual rental of 2.5m. Good, your letter of explanation/SOP will do justice here. Since the generic refusal letter is mostly finance, maybe home tie is also involved since you don’t know what is even in the officers note. Having a signed rental agreement will help in source of funds, and home tie here. I don’t think you addressed justice here too.

(5) In your new mentioned submission, you added 10K GIC to your application but every other thing remains the same according to you, knowing fully well that you paid only first semester tuition fees!
So do you think you addressed the generic reason for refusal reading this post without knowing the officer note in GCMS ?

That’s the question you need to ask yourself.
If not; it’s not too late if decision is not made yet. You can still do many justice with webform, in as much as you do not contradict your story.

Hello everyone, I'm new on this thread, I submitted my study application in January got a refusal in about 3 weeks stating insufficient funds(12m in personal , 16m in investment plus paid first semester tuition fees. I added 2 inherited properties in my name valued at 88m (one of which is rented and i stay in the 2nd with my wife and son). Documents submitted includes:
Statements and reference letters from banks
Work appointment letter and ID
Affidavit of gift deed from wife (12m)
Property gift deed from late father
Property evaluation
SOP/LOE

I reapplied showing same amount in my s as well as a GIC in canada with 10k CAD deposited. It's over 6 weeks with no updates. Please are there any additional documents I should via webform?

You have everything intact already.
His SOA is not required anymore since you’ve added his employment records and others you mentioned with affidavits of sponsorship to back the source of the money with you after paying full tuition.

However, there’s no crime in adding his SOA. If there’s still better money in it, you can add it still.
If there’s no substantial fund there, I will advise you leave it out, but mention in letter of explanation that he has provided all required to you.

But in this case, I’ve already paid for the tuition in full, there’s a GIC of $20,635 for living expenses and an additional 25M in my personal which has been there for close to 6 months. My question is not about the proof of funds, it’s more about the SOURCE, to show that the money is legit, my dad is my sponsor and he has given me everything needed which I listed above, plus an affidavit of sponsorship.
So my question is, to show that the money came from a legit source are his employment records enough? In this case, Appointment letter, Payslips, CAC, Personal Tax Clearance and Business tax clearance. Or is it a must add that I add his SOA ?

How will agent submit your brother’s company to sponsor you when your own is not even solid ?
Firstly, using a company’s to sponsor is a big red flag. What will happen to business after you sponsor your sister ? (IRCC belief).

Also, no commitment shown, brother want to sponsor you and cannot send money to your own ?

My study permit application was refused yesterday. So sad about it.
The VO said " your assets and financial situation are insufficient to the stated purpose of travel for yourself". And that they're not satisfied I'll leave Canada after my studies.

My agent submitted all the required documents from my sponsor (brother), which includes his company , Cac, building property evaluation, tax clearance, birth certificate and ID cards and also attached my own personal bank statement which does not have enough money in it.

Please what can I do about this inorder to see if I can reapply and defer my ission to September intake?

There will be a portion you will fill if you’ve done biometrics in the last 10 years in your application.

You don’t need to attach anything. They will sort it out themselves

It's PPR for my brother. I'm so happy.

Second time applicant; Conestoga College
1st application was done through an agent. He Got a rejection due to financial reasons. We ordered his GCSMS and the Visa officer claimed he didn't have enough proof of relationship with his sponsor (Sister). Hence, he wasn't sure he will be able to afford it financially.
He had to defer his ission to January 2023 and re-applied again. All thanks to @scott99tish for his advice.

Second application: Self

Application submission : 27th August

Upfront Medical ed : 26th September

Eligibility: Ghost update. Didn't know when it was updated.

Original port collection: 17th November

What we did different to address the visa officers concerns (proof of relationship with sponsor);

I opened a canadian GIC and Submitted the GIC certificate

I Wrote a strong SOP and LOE explaining that sponsor is my blood sister

- Sponsors notorized Affidavit of sponsorship
Sponsors birth certificate, old pictures, old/dated whatsapp messages
Notarized Affidavit of relationship
Recent family pictures
Letter of sponsorship from sponsor
Family tree
Sponsors marriage and change of name certificate/Affidavit
Bank statements
Sponsors Assets

Your file was worked on and currently active.

I was out of the country and was tied up there (offshore). Got back and sent the port immediately but the courier guy messed it up. I mailed them anyways and they responded that my request for extension has been noted. Thanks for your response.

30days was given for port submission na. Why the delay ?
Something that I couldn’t even sleep before submitting the next day.

Well, I will advice you mail them multiple times to inform them of delay and when you’re likely sending it…

Mail embassy as well as VAC.

Hello everyone, is it a big issue if I missed the port submission deadline by 1 day. Will the visa still be issued? They didn't accept the port from the courier today (12pm) saying they have closed and asked him to come back on Monday. And that will be one day after the 30 days deadline.

Why the rush ?
GCMS is the only thing that will tell you the exact reason for refusal, to know how to tackle it rightly…

Well, I was aspiring to type lot of story but my trip was quite short and simple than expected. No much questioning at allll.
Airline: Egyptair
Time: 14:00 on 2nd of May 2022

I got to Airport at 9am to avoid crowd ahead of travel time. I was the second person attended to for boarding .
Baggage: 29kg and 30km
Hand luggage: 12kg

I had lot of loads that I couldn't afford to drop some as I did some cargo ahead self for my fiancée in Toronto, That's why I had lots still. So I did bargain with the personnel who did calculation and said I will pay 75USD for extra to upgraded baggage of 32kg. I used Naija way reduce ham to 50USD as I hid some other baggage earlier sef. It was more. So we sha added all of them to the bags since I've paid. Lot of milk, fish and food items.
Document requested: ArriveCan, Vaccination card, port then Got my boarding .

I waited with my family for pictures till 12noon before moving in.
Advice, Avoid crowdy entry. A friend here told me to go through Gate E which I did. Very simple. Immigration ed me quickly without much questioning. The man was gisting with me sef giving me the right pronunciation of Toronto that I will blend soon. He checked the Acceptance letter and stamped me.

Money declaration man, He got interested in me that I paid full tuition fee (Big Boy) then We started family gist ooo when I said I am not a big boi. That it is Owo omo oni iru, omo alata, lol. At some point I was avoiding his gist but He was loving it, discussing with a young man about Life. He eventually said Good luck out there, Off you go.

Peace... Got to airline session, the lady there started gist too, then I kept thinking which soap did I use sef that They want to be making friends and not even doing usual Bambiala, Lol... She said Go in peace too.
We left Lagos Exactly 2pm.
Meals and movie on egyptair was great, I ate all. Arrived Egypt at 8:30pm and waited for our 5 hours stopover.
Left exactly 1:30am as they asked same document; port, ArriveCan, and Vaccination card.

Ate 3 meals before morning, They have amazing movies. All great. I made an Egypt-Canadian friend on the plane (Husband and Wife) They were awesome. watched same movies, Ate same meal as they were so cool.

Arrived Canada 1:48pm Nigerian time (8:48am Canadian time).
Note: Kindly fill your declaration form online before leaving Nigeria to save you stress. Went to self-declaration machine to scan my port and I got my ticket once under 20secs.

First level asked me for port and declaration ticket then Proceeded to another for first time arrival permits. Devil wanted to work small but God gat it under control. We were asked for letter of Introduction; My hands was dried that I needed spit to sort my document (Nigerian way) then this woman just shouted at me: SO RUDE, I DON'T NEED YOUR PAPERS...
I was like Alaye calm down na, I needed to separate my papers na, I had to bring out my hand sanitizer to satisfy her, Yet she said She told me she's not interested in my papers that I should bring just my port then she went to print it herself, Alakoba.
Avoid using spit for paper sorting.

I was shaking that I didn't even know when I gave her my port, I think she picked it herself cuz she told me to sit. Then I was looking for port that Village people don come o.

When I was called, and I saw my port with the person, then I felt more relaxed.
No much question asked. He just asked me for which school and course then He gave me my study permit and work permit.

Fiancée came to pick me. Drove me home then I realize I didn't waste money. This land is beautiful sha.
I drove later in the evening to get some stuffs like a road learner. Forget your Jason Statham skills in Nigeria, When you reach here, You gatz learn, Lol. So organized.

Mean funds available is total funds.

It’s the flight entering Canada.

Once you select the Airline, you will see that the flight name will be filled, all you need insert is just the number of the plane entering Canada
