I suspect both she and the husband planned this episode with the hope that Tinubu will intervene and give them money.

A lot of people will be cashing in on Tinubu's desperation. Everyone can see how desperate he is in his ambition but I don't think Tinubu will fall for this cheap scam besides the actors have no political value to him

This should serve as an eye opener to those who think it is worth fighting for Nigeria and her people.
The country has,is and will never work. If you die or hurt yourself fighting for the betterment of Nigeria, you lose and you deserve it.
Get yourself a second citizenship and allow the dead bury the dead. The country is not worth it at all.

Not everyone abroad is better than you in the country. Many in the so called abroad are hungry and homeless and will jump at any available freebies.

The people who will protest would not do it solely cos of the money they are paid but due to ethnic, political and religious considerations.
You think everyone abroad is interested in a better Nigeria? Are there not ers of APC abroad? They would rather defend Buhari than care about Nigeria.

It seems that Ortom is the only governor in the whole of the south and north central willing to defend his people at any cost.

While others are trying to be in the good books of fulanis, Ortom is staking his head to challenge them and defend his people.

Ortom may be a useless gov like his counterparts in of development etc but I think in of defending his people, he is the best.

Most of the stories being peddled on nairaland are all lies. I think some people just want to have a post they created and push a conversation.
Otherwise how can people just be asking for stupid advice or question when the whole thing is just too obvious for the blind sef.

Phone courtesy .... caller needs to identify himself or herself. It is unprofessional for a representative of a company calling a personal phone and not identifying himself and company. What if the receiver answered in Hausa?... or Igbo?... or Yoruba?.... when business is conducted at the company in English?... should the interview be denied? If after identifying himself the applicant was not courteous or not professional then the HR person can deny her employment on the grounds of poor phone etiquette.

"May I know who is this?" .... HR wasn't calling Buckingham Palace. Too many if us are over cultured.... and don't even know

At the end if the day, it still boils down to manners. An applicant who is looking for a job should show restraint even when the other person messes up. An applicant needs the job more than the HR and should be more careful.

I once received a call from a HR years back. The phone rang
Me: Hello
HR: Hello, are my speaking with *******(my name)
I didn't want to say yes cos I don't know the person so I politely asked
Me: please may I know who is speaking?
HR: oh my bad, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I am ***** from ******
Me: Thanks. I am ******

We continued and at the end It was successful.
I think the girl should have been polite. HRs make mistakes quite alright but as someone who is looking for a job, I believe you should not allow the mistake of the HR to spoil your chance cos 2 wrongs don't make a right.

The problem is not coming out to vote. The problem is that the quality of candidates in all the political parties is too poor to warrant people to be interested in voting.
Unfortunately, the way things are in Nigeria, it will only take a miracle for a quality candidate to emerge from the top political parties.
The other candidates from unknown political parties that would have been better don't have the war chest to challenge the money bags.
In fact, there is no hope for the country

Too bad

If Nigeria was a public limited company and Buhari is the CEO, not only would he have been fired long ago, shareholders would have had him arrested and charges brought against him for collecting salary while destroying the company.

We have always had bad leaders from day 1 but I have never seen a leader being this bad at every indices. May we never have a leader like Buhari ever again. What a waste! Too bad

Are they calling them back because the equipment is now available or what because recently we heard that the arms we took a billion dollar loan are yet to come. Can we contract the same people supplying Boko Haram to supply the needed ammunition because those guys don't seem to ever run out of ammo. I have laptop powerbank and Television inverter for sale. How long must the needless loss of life of our gallant officers go on?

Hahahahahahahahahaha
You are very funny
So you are saying boko haram arms suppliers should be contracted by the Nigerian army to supply them weapons. This is an interesting suggestion and I think you are right.

@OP is one of those people who detest the truth. What the OP wants to hear is for people abroad to say Nigeria is the best thing after slice bread. Then he will be happy and feel good even though deep down in him he knows it is a lie.

I would have thought that the brutal truth being said about Nigeria from Nigerians abroad will provoke Nigerians in Nigeria to rise up and demand better from their leaders. Rather what I see is hatred for people abroad.

If we all start saying that Nigeria in this present situation is better than abroad, who loses?
The guy abroad who may have not witnessed a power failure since he arrived or the guy in Nigeria who is about to be buying fuel at 220naira per liter to put in his generator? This is just an example

@OP, Everything said about abroad are all lies. Abroad is trash and Nigerians there are suffering. Nigeria is far better. I have made your day, you should be happy now

I make some calculations, 40 hours work in a week, 160 hours monthly x 15= 2400-1300 rent =1100$, Let say you pay bills , Phone, Water, Tax et all for 500$, You eat for 300 , You save 300$ monthly , Am i right or wrong in my calculations? If yes , Greet america for me, I am here , God bless Nigeria

Are you now comparing yourself with minimum wage workers abroad when you are a millionaire?
Are you sure you really want to get some insights or you are stylishly mocking some people?

There will always be super rich, rich, middle class and poor in every country of the world. So to get a fair assessment, your comparison should be like for like not millionaires vs minimum wage comparison

Some Nigerians are so heartless. Someone is comparing fuel price in Nigeria to other countries. Which kind of stupid comparison is that?
Let's do the maths.

Minimum wage in Nigeria 30000 per months
Full time working hours per week is 40 hrs. In 1 month, it is 160 hours. So minimum wage in Nigeria is 30000/160 = 187 naira per hour. Then fuel price is 200 naira per liter.

Let's see Canada for example.
Minimum wage in Ontario is $14 Canadian dollars per hour. Fuel price is $1 per liter.

Even though, a Canadian will buy fuel at 350 naira per liter if you do the conversion, from the scenario above which is more affordable to the 2 groups of people?

The idiots are quick to say fuel is cheaper in Nigeria because this or that country pay 500 naira per liter, but they will not tell you the minimum wage of those countries and the fuel price in those countries currencies to have an idea of how affordable it is to the citizens of those countries
Which kind of blatant deceit is this?

Godarz:

That has no bearing on the topic...plus most Euorpean countries pay higher than 400 naira.

UK pays N655 naira per liter...and that's an oil producer.

pays 699 per liter.

Norway is the third largest producer of oil...and pays N755 per liter.

Guy, I'm sorry to insult you but I think you are very very stupid.
When you guys want be clever by half, you start muddling up things to confuse people.
What is the purchasing power of those countries you mentioned compared to Nigeria.
You stylishly converted their currencies to deceive people. Do they earn and buy their fuel in naira? What is their minimum wage?
Since you want to be clever, then let government set the minimum wage per hour to be exactly like those countries so that Nigerians will pay exactly what those countries pay.

Someone talked about Nigeria and respect.

In reality, Africans train kids to respect their elders or people higher than them. However, they don't train kids to respect human beings irrespective of age , status or Gender. Respect in Africa is just one way.
An African rich man will never respect the poor. African bosses will never respect their subordinates, Africans are not trained to respect institutions, this is why police has become errand boys to powerful people, African dont respect people with disability etc.
It is because of our lack of respect for human beings, that is why our general society is bleeped up. Respecting elders is good but it doesn't take the general society anywhere. What will make a difference is respect for human beings.

May the war you wish for be upon you alone.

Why should there be war because some people want a separate country? Was there war when Quebec wanted to separate from Canada? Was there war when Scotland wanted out of the UK? Was there war when Singapore separated from Malaysia?
The examples above are cases of secession in working countries So why should there be war if any part of Nigeria wants to separate in a useless country like Nigeria that is not working for anyone? Is it now a do or die?

Are you happy to hand over to your next generation a useless and unworkable country to continue living like this just because you are afraid of war?
A United Nigeria flowing with love, peace and progress for all would have been the best but since it would never happen, why wouldn't it be a good idea to try a different option?

Lead well, NO,restructure NO, divide the country NO. You want 200m people to continue living like this forever?

God will not forgive everyone in Nigeria if we Nigeria in this present state to the innocent next generation, God forbid!
