, you guys are too funny, what power do you think Trump has over Nigeria, KANU keeps taking you for fools, Trump ko Putin ni, meanwhile

Here is a question for the illiterates that can't see beyond the bridge of their noses, how was it possible for an alleged Sudanese named Jubril to face the t NASS?? When it was in the same gathering the patrons of fake reports and propaganda are seated!??
I want to seize this opportunity to demystify the alleged accusation of a Jubril in Aso rock, its quite dramatic and equally astonishing how the president was thought dead but with God's intervention overcame the illness and evil thoughts being spread by agents of confusion, THE GENERAL @PMB , was never dead nor replaced, am sure the healthy and youthful looks on him got illiterates wondering how an old man above 75yrs could recover so well,
Truth is THE GENERAL can not recover naturally in that manner considering his age, however, people must know about the process of COSMETIC SURGERY,
Am 100% sure it was the process ( COSMETIC SURGERY) that THE GENERAL went through to give him such healthy and youthful looks, which is very appropriate, as the president MUST look good as possible, he stands as the country's image and no1 citizen, World leaders such as Vladimir Putin of Russia and Donald Trump of USA all undergo the process of COSMETIC SURGERY to keep their looks as youthful as possible.
God bless Nigeria
Cosmetic what? Why hasn't Queen Elizabeth done one for herself? Why didn't the Bush family did such for themselves? Anyway, uve already agreed there was a face surgery... That's a good step to start with.

They created Boko Haram so this is more or less their fault. The harassment and unnecessary killings of groups with views the government does not like made Boko Haram become militarized as self defense. The northern leaders using them for politics made them exactly in the level they are today. I don't pity NA because all their extra judiciary attacks towards BH when they were unarmed made this happen. Nor do I pity North because when GEJ and Ihejirika was winning against Boko Haram, they spoke against the attacks and ed Boko Haram simply because of their hate for GEJ and ihejirika. Even Buhari once said an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on North. They've played politics with their own lives. Sad. It's sad their creation is what's reducing their population. My only fear is BH bringing their madness South. I hope they keep their activities in the North please.
Sometimes, I wonder how really intelligent Nigerians are. They seem to forget all that Buhari did and said as an opposition.
Honestly, it's painful I hav to pity d poor n innocent ones being killed in d north.
I wish they could gain access to d families of d northern elites who ed BH from d onset.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that no fewer than one million traders have already benefited from the TraderMoni Scheme of the Federal Government.

“The first phase of the TraderMoni was targeted at two million petty traders across the country, but over a million have today benefited from the scheme,” the News Agency of Nigeria quoted Osinbajo as saying.

Osinbajo was in Bodija and Oje markets in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Thursday, during which he introduced the TraderMoni Scheme of the Federal Government to the traders.

He was accompanied by Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, alongside other government officials.

According to the Federal Government, the TraderMoni is a collateral-free loan that ranges from N10,000 to N50,000, depending on how well the borrowers are able to make repayments.

All petty traders and artisans in Nigeria are eligible to access the loan, government said.

Osinbajo said, “We have observed that nobody wants to give these traders credit because lenders believe they won’t pay back.

“The market traders represented the most significant percentage of those who engage in commercial activities.

“Both the TraderMoni and the MarketMoni schemes seeks to address that large population or persons involved in commercial activities who usually don’t have access to credit.”

Some of the traders, who spoke to NAN at the markets, lauded the initiative of the Federal Government.

The Babaloja of Oje market, Mr. Saliu Delesolu, lauded the Federal Government for initiating the programme, saying it would enhance petty trading.

“This is the first time a government in this country will be extending credit facility to petty traders. We appreciate this and thank President Muhammadu Buhari for this.

“We assure our that the money would go round. Not everybody could benefit from it at once but we have been assured that the programme will be institutionalised,” he said.

A petty trader, Mrs. Olajumoke Ajao, also corroborated Delesolu’s claim, saying the government must be commended for the gesture.

President Buhari has warned Nigerians elites to stop misleading the people through their unguarded utterances and hate speeches.

The president gave the warning at the 24th convocation ceremony of the University of Uyo on Saturday where he said universities as home of great thinkers, should give guidance to the communities to enable the people make informed decisions as the nation approached the 2019 general elections

The President, who was represented by the Director of Corporate Communications, National Universities Commission, Ibrahim Yakasai, said development and progress could not thrive in a hate-filled and divisive society.

He said that the Federal Government would not condone or tolerate incendiary remarks capable of causing fear and spread hatred among the people, from any person or group of persons. Buhari said that the Federal Government would continue to do its best to ensure security of lives and property in the country.

The President called on the new graduates to look beyond leaders who had failed themselves and the nation but should choose their heroes from among those who believe in the progress of Nigeria and emulate those honest and hardworking in their professions.

The Federal Government has assembled 1000-strong military force, comprising the army, air force, police and the civil defence to launch fierce attacks on the bandits terrorising the villages and towns of Zamfara State.

Following directives by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has begun the deployment of fighter aircraft to Katsina, the airport with the closest proximity to Zamfara State to make for immediate and effective response to the menace of the bandits.

This had not been possible in the past because there was no fuel depot facility in Katsina, but NAF has devised a way around the problem.

The President has also authorised the engagement by NAF, of advanced satellite surveillance technology to help in accurate detection of movement and locations of the bandits.

The government had to go to this extent because of the limitations of conventional surveillance, as the use of satellite technology could make the task of NAF less  problematic.

Following directives from the President, at the weekend, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar, was in Gusau where he met the Deputy Governor of the State.

The Chief of Air Staff reiterated the President’s pledge that he would never abandon victims of attacks to their fate, reaffirming that security remains one of the cardinal pillars of his campaign promises and no leader would be happy to see his own citizens killed by criminal groups across the country.

It will be recalled that since his election, the President has kept faith with his promises to re-equip and motivate the country's military and other security services.

The army and other security services are now better equipped and motivated to face the challenges of their responsibilities.

The Presidency, therefore, appeals to all Nigerians to unite and speak with one voice on security issues and urges politicians to stop exploiting national security challenges.

Those praying for the President to fail in this effort can be likened to one stabbing oneself in the heart and celebrating about it.

In this regard, security should not be reduced to petty politics as doing so could only embolden the terrorists and other murderous gangs.

We therefore appeal to of the Nigerian media to avoid unhelpful and deleterious sensationalism in the coverage of events that border on national security.

The media should under no circumstances make the bandits or terrorists feel like super stars because doing so could hurt all of us.

Terrorists seek to achieve maximum publicity and they do so by launching large scale attacks on soft targets and the media must resist every attempt to play into their hands unwittingly.

Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, has said that the blockade of the Abuja home of Senate President Bukola Saraki must have been by his own security aides, rather than by the Police. as widely reported.

Moshood, in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon, said that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has consequently ordered a probe into the incidence.

The media had reported earlier on Tuesday that operatives of the Department of State Services and policemen laid siege to Saraki’s home in Abuja.

Saraki had also alleged that the siege was an attempt to stop some of the Senate from defecting from the ruling party.

However, Moshood denied that the Police blocked Saraki from leaving his residence in the morning, noting that the “unathorised blockade” must have been carried out by his (Saraki’s) security aides.

He added that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered an investigation into the incident.

With today’s ongoing massive defection of APC senators to PDP which has made the hitherto majority APC to become a minority in the National Assembly, it is crystal clear that APC has been dealt a blow! APC has really lost out totally and this is the genesis of her stupendous demise!
If Buhari- led APC government wants to be in any way relevant again ahead of the 2019 polls, he should better sit up and get to work. He needs to reshuffle his appointments and make appointments of sound minds and technocrats that cuts across the whole country, engage in aggressive youth empowerment programs such as funding the 5000 YouWIN entrepreneurs and NPOWER beneficiaries among others; implement the National minimum wage; prosecute the killer herdsmen, investigate the finance minister's NYSC certificate forgery and sack her if found wanting; his corruption war should extend its beam-light to the of his party, associates and cabinet and deal with anyone found wanting; engage in nationwide tour to dialogue with aggrieved sections of the country; initiate massive infrastructural development within the next 6 months and ,above all, honorably apologize to Nigerians in a National broadcast for his selected undoing and compromises in the last 3 years . By doing this, he will restore the hopes of the teeming Nigerians who voted him in 2015 as an agent of positive change. This will also put his name on the good annals of history.

If indeed people in the executive want to persecute the Senate President, they will simply do the following:

1. Allow the police treat him like a murder suspect.

2. Get of the National Assembly to reconvene- you think it is impossible? Sit down there. INEC funds have not been approved as far as the executive is concerned you know.

3. Senator Saraki has panicked and is in a much weaker position today than he was yesterday.

However, what do I know? The so-called "wailers" are celebrating- what exactly? I don't know.

Oh, I forgot PDP is now the majority abi? Getting some PDP to defect to the APC is not a major problem now.

My point is this, the only value that Senator Saraki had was for the Senate to do its job and keep runniing. Now, that the Senate has been shutdown for 2 months. Those in the executive can do effectively what they want with him and his acolytes.

The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, on Wednesday called on the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi to give “Muslims in the state proportionate representation in government appointments.”

MURIC anchored its call on the fact that Muslims in the state cast “massive protest votes against Fayose on Saturday because the latter was a Muslim hater and a con artist whose major preoccupation was the marginalization of Muslims in government appointments, the demolition of mosques, making mockery of Muslims and harassing Islamic scholars.”

In a congratulatory message signed by its Director, Ishaq Akintola and sent to DAILY POST, the organization also advised the governor-elect to remain level-headed and sympathetic to the poor and elderly citizens of the state.

MURIC also warned that Fayose’s “downward slide has just begun.”

The message reads, “We complained in vain early in 2014 when Fayose formed an all-Christian cabinet. All 14 commissioners, as well as all permanent secretaries, were Christians. The secretary to the state government was a Christian. All board chairmen were also Christians except the Muslim Pilgrims Board where the maximum ruler had no choice. Muslims in the South West had never experienced such totalitarianism. Fayose’s defeat is good riddance to bad rubbish as far as Ekiti Muslims are concerned.

“We warned Fayose when he embarked on his orgy of mosque demolition but he did not listen. Can you imagine a state governor issuing an order to shut down Arabic evening classes in the state capital in this 21st century Nigeria? Fayose’s downward slide has just begun. His cup of anti-Muslim and Islamophobic acts reached its brim and even spilled over the day he publicly insulted and harassed Shaykh Muhyideen, the popular Ansar-Ud-Deen preacher.

“We know that you are a Christian. But we have seen that you are very liberal. You hate nobody. You have charity for all. We trust you because you have been tested before and you performed creditably well. You really impressed us during your first term before Ekiti citizens entered ‘one chance’. You gave Muslims cabinet slots. You issued a circular permitting female Muslim children to use hijab in public schools even without Muslims making much fuss”.

Noting that it was not partisan, MURIC maintained that the religion or political party of a President or Governor does not matter so long as he or she was transparent, credible and fair to all.

Akintola added, “We are not ing any political party. Neither are we ing Muslims in public offices. All we are interested in is good governance. MURIC is particularly interested in politicians who are fair to Muslims in this country.

“We will a president or governor who gives Muslims their dues, fights corruption and observes democratic tenets no matter what religion, tribe or political party he belongs. Yet we do not encourage any Muslim president or governor to maltreat Christians and traditionalists. Those who come to equity must come with clean hands. We are for fairness to all.

“But we will not allow Muslim haters to rest whether at federal, state or local government level. We will use every constitutional means at our disposal to give extremist crusaders a run for their money because this country belongs to all of us. Muslims will no longer remain underdogs in this country: oppressed, repressed and downpressed.

“We are watching governors in the South East who are in the habit of depriving the minority Muslims of their Allah-given fundamental human rights. They refuse to give Certificates of Occupancy (C of Os) for mosques. They demolish mosques at will while heads of tertiary institutions disallow Muslim students from worshipping and building mosques inside campuses. They also demolish existing make-shift mosques on campuses using flimsy excuses.

“In conclusion, we appeal to Governor-Elect Fayemi to make his in-coming government inclusive and to redress the wrongs done to Ekiti Muslims by his irritant predecessor by giving them befitting government posts and returning to them all their civil rights. Apart from a proportionate number of commissioners, permanent secretaries and board chairmen, we particularly demand that the post of secretary to the state government should go to a Muslim since both Fayemi and his deputy are Christians. In return, we urge Muslims in Ekiti to give the in-coming Fayemi regime all necessary ”.

Jos – Plateau State in the North Central of the country is blessed with diverse tourism potentials, clement weather, exotic fruits and accommodating people. These should naturally improve its internally generated revenue but that is not the case as Plateau, considered a “Civil Service State” is constantly plagued with one crisis or the other.
The crises have moved from Jos, the State capital to the hinterlands where the narrative has taken a new dimension. In the villages, hitherto “unknown gunmen” now called “suspected herdsmen” terrorized the indigenous tribes, uprooted them from their ancestral homes and took over their property. Despite the continued lamentations of the people and promises by the authorities of bringing perpetrators to book, not much has been done to ensure justice for the victims. Following the seeming failure of the government, there are now calls for self-defence by the people.

Those in of the call for self-defence maintained that the country was on the brink of acute food shortage as farmers were being killed with cattle grazing on their farmlands while the farming communities have been sacked from their farms. Surviving farmers have now been accommodated in the Internally Displaced Persons camps spread across four local government areas of the State. Since the killing of over 200 people and displacement of thousands of survivors about a month ago, especially in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas of the State, herders have continued to harvest crops found in the farms and destroying others thereby causing the survivors, especially those who took loans to cultivate the crops more trauma.

In the past two weeks, residents of the attacked communities, especially in Garshish District and Dorawa Babuje all in Barkin Ladi local government area have reported cases where “wives of our herders neighbours invaded our farms, harvesting our crops for themselves while their husbands grazed their cattle on the harvested farms.” A survivor of herders’ attacks, Pam Uba who had fled Dorowa Babuje with his family and were being accommodated by a friend in Pankshin local government area narrated his experience. He said, “Before my father’s death on May 2 this year, we had cultivated some farmlands but a week after his burial, we discovered that the Fulani people grazed their cattle on the farms and destroyed everything. “After the incident, we cultivated the farms again but last week Tuesday when we went to harvest our Irish potatoes, the farms were empty. They had harvested everything and after harvesting the potatoes, they put their cows in the farms to eat the maize.”

Another farmer, Ezra Matawal from Bokkos who had one hectare of farmland where he also cultivated maize and Irish potatoes said, “The Fulani people came and destroyed everything and all my labour and resources were wasted. I cultivated Irish potatoes and maize but at the time I was supposed to harvest the crops, they cut down everything in the farms.” A Ward Head (known as Mai Angwa) at Dorowa Babuje, Da Sambo Chollom told Saturday Vanguard, “I am highly disappointed and angry with what has happened because by now, I had wanted my people to go back home but it is not possible because there is nothing for us to eat as all the potatoes, the maize and other crops have been destroyed. “The herders have plucked virtually everything from our farms; we don’t know what to do. To enable us scavenge the few crops they left, we had to seek the assistance of the Mobile Police Force to go to the farms as we were tired of going to the Operation Safe Haven who would not respond to us when we sought their assistance. “We are at the camp at Werreh, life there has not been easy.
The people who are harvesting our crops are people we know, they are the Hausa people with whom we lived together. Sometimes, whenever we were going to our farms we would see them with hoes and bags coming from harvesting our crops. “Sometimes when we summoned courage to go to our farm, they would come and meet us there. The Fulani herdsmen who came to attack us were harboured in their houses and have gone but the Hausa people in the community are the ones harvesting our crops.” According to him, “I knew when the Fulani people came, I called the Mai Angwa in the Hausa community and asked him why he was accommodating the Fulani people and he was denying but when the attack happened, the attackers came out of their houses.” Piqued by the development, a former Chairman of

Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Plateau North, Rev. David Bamidele called on the federal government to do all within its powers to bring to an end the wanton attacks and killings of local farmers in the communities of Middle-Belt states and other parts of Nigeria to avoid a situation where people will begin to resort to self help. The cleric said the Federal government has what it takes to bring the carnage to a halt within a short time, stressing that if the government could order the Military to employ operation crocodile smile to bring the activities of IPOB in the South East to an end, the same government could use operation crocodile cry to halt the activities of herders currently on rampage in communities of Middle Belt States. He noted that it is the responsibility of government to rebuild the burnt houses of the victims who are now in IDP camps and take them back to their communities as displaced persons cannot afford to stay in camps for too long to avoid a situation where herders would turn the abandoned communities into permanent grazing land for their cattle.
