Food for thought:Sometimes ago, a group of 50 people attended a seminar. At a point during the session the speaker stopped and started giving each person a balloon. Each one was asked to write his/her name on it using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room. Soon after the delegates were let into that room and each participant was asked to find the balloon which had his/her name written on it within 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically searching for his /her name, pushing and colliding with each other; there was utter chaos. At the end of 5 minutes, no one could find his/her own balloon. Each person was thereafter asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had his/her own balloons handed over to him or her. The speaker resumed the session and said "This is exactly what is happening in our lives. Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all around, not knowing where it is. Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Help them find their happiness and you will get your own happiness too". And this is one of the purposes of human life... Learn to put a smile on someone's face, and you will also smile in due season. 1 Like 1 Share |

1.determine the radius and center coordinate of the circle whose equation is 4x^2+4y^2-16x +32y-116=0 Solutn Recall dat d eqn of a circle is given by x^2+y^2+2gx+2fy+c=0........ eqn * 4x^2+4y^2-16x+32y-116=0 (dividing thru by 4) yield x^2+y^2-4x+8y-29=0......... eqn ** by comparing eqn * &** we av g=-2 f=4 c=-29 Now, for centre = (-g,-f)=(2,-4). also radius= √(g^2+f^2-c) =√(-2)^2 +4^2+29= √49=7 clearly, centre= (2,-4) and radius=7. |

[quote author=Temieasy post=27340269]Hello guys it bin a while... Pls answer dis question.. When is a sequence said to be bolzano waitress's? Also what is an open cover with example. A set S in a metric space has the bolzano Weierstrass property if every sequence in S has a convergent subsequence. i.e has a subsequent that converges to a point S. OPEN COVER: Is the collection of open sets of a topological space whose union contains a given subset. Example. an open cover of the real line, with respect to d euclidean topology is d set of all open intervals (-n,n) where n€IN. 1 Like |
