That is why they put veiwer discretion advice. If dead body pictures trouble you dont look at it. Let those it doesnt trouble look as they please. Let the world see the evil that is going on in this country.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Would you like pictures of your dead relatives published on the internet, without your knowledge and permission?

Viewing distasteful pictures for no useful purpose whatsoever desensitizes the viewers. Desensitized people are not moved by dead bodies and that is why they can rob them and take pictures of them instead of doing something to help the situation or the injured.

kiiling innocent people does not bother you as long as you don't see them?

It bothers me very much. I hate that life seems to be of little value in Nigeria and I am annoyed at Buhari's response, or lack of, to the massacre in Zaria. I only need to read about it to be bothered and saddened by it, I don't need to see the photos. If a relative of mine was one of the dead I wouldn't want it published all over the internet.

Why are so many photos of dead bodies ed on Nairaland? I think it is disrespectful to the dead and their families and should be stopped and/or banned. One day, that's if it hasn't already happened, family and friends of a victim may end up seeing the body of their loved one on Nairaland before they have been informed of the death. In developed countries dead bodies are not published in this manner because life has greater value and bodies of the deceased are respected.

Recently, we saw the bodies of the dead being robbed in Zaria. Shameful. No level of poverty, nor greed, should trigger such a shameless act. It is so sad that in this social media age people think of taking pictures when they see a victim (dead or alive) instead of doing something to help the situation or person. Today, I saw a headline about the unclad body of a dumped rape victim. Although I didn't open it, I assume it was another offensive picture that needn't be published to make the point.

Let us be the change we want to see in Nigeria by stopping the of dead bodies on Nairaland.

What kind of green will a teacher call this?

I'd have preferred a more common and usual green.

Op. Nice though

Like this green?

This is still a cross, infact, it's the Saint Andrews Cross. It's on the scottish flag, as well as the Union Jack. Cross and half moon are religious symbols.

I'd prefer a combo of red and blue and gold. Green is just too plain, and uninteresting.

You must be referring to the 2nd version. The third version below is a Y, not a cross.

Any, what would the red and blue colours represent?

they did?

How/why?

It wasn't the BBC that called it boring, it was a Nigerian interviewed on the BBC that said it is boring.

New Zealand has just changed her flag and the winning flag, chosen by a referendum, was designed 15 years ago. So you never know, one of the above designs might become Nigeria's flag in years to come.

Remove the Cross (+)make it (Y ) shape

Yes, that is another option. I had been considering this because it looks more than the shape of the rivers but I think the cross looks nice. Here it is anyway...

You cannot lecture me in Geography, I scored A1 in WASCE, and I have kept my self up to date ever since I left school a long time ago. I asked you what is the cross doing in the flag? You don't mean to say the confluence of both rivers looks like a cross to you? Any symbol of religionism especially christiandom and islam should have no place at all.

Lol. It is not a religious symbol. But if you prefer, it can be done like this...

The land, water and sun, what do they stand for?

The land is Nigeria's fertile and green vegetation, the water is rivers Niger and Benue and the sun is the tropical sunny climate that prevails in Nigeria.

Why the cross?

Red and blue combo has been very successful.

If you look at the map of Nigeria you'd notice that the river Niger crosses or meets the river Benue

Why is the IG of police always at the airport when Buhari travels or returns? Do you think this undermines the independence, trust and respectability of the police? You never see this in developed countries where police services are independent and professional. In the UK the police came close to questioning the Prime Minister under oath when they were investigating the cash for honours scandal. Can the Nigerian police investigate Buhari or the APC if the IG aligns himself so close to the President? I think the police should as independent as INEC and you certainly won't see the INEC chairman doing that.

The elections petitions tribunal sitting in Abuja has declared APC’s Aisha Jummai Alhassan as the duly elected governor of Taraba state.

She will become the first elected female governor in Nigeria if PDP’s Darius Ishaku, the incumbent, does not appeal against the verdict.

Danladi Abubakar, chairman of the tribunal, declared Alhassan winner of the April 11 governorship election on the grounds that Ishaku did not emerge candidate of the PDP in a proper primary election.

He ruled that Alhassan, also known as ‘Mama Taraba’, be sworn in immediately as governor of Taraba state because she came second in the poll.

The tribunal also quashed 10 applications of Ishaku, who urged the court to dismiss the petition of Alhassan for lack of merit. Ishaku is the second PDP governor whose election has been annulled by a tribunal.

On October 24, the election of Nyesom Wike as Rivers state governor was ‎annulled by a tribunal sitting in Abuja. The tribunal had held that Wike was‎ not duly elected, therefore it ruled that a fresh election be held in Rivers state within 90 days. Wike has since appealed against the judgment.

The room in the picture used to be Patience Jonathan's office/conference room, where she made the embarrassing 'there is God o' speech . It is now being used by Buhari as there is no more an Office of the first lady, as per the constitution.

Here are a few videos of madam peace using the office:

Please ask Tinubu who swore his wife in as senator of the Federal Republic yesterday. If Tinubu does not recognise Saraki as Senate President then he should not recognise his wife, Remi, as a Senator because she was sworn in by the same Senate President he refuses to recognise.

On the contrary, that horse should belong to the federal government. Any gift given to government officials, above a certain token value, should be handed over to the federal government. This is the law in nigeria and many other countries to avoid bribery and allegations of bribery in government.
