Covid19lockdown: I hope you are also ready to be use as meat shield and die in Ukraine ? Nigerians may be desperate for better economic situation but they still value their lives and Russia may pretend they like Africans but deep down they don't want none of that black shits dominating their country in fact they are very racist, they are just good at hiding it even this Russia mercenary unit committed many atrocities in Africa before they met their waterloo. |

One of the biggest lie the west will tell you is there's free markets and every business can compete fair and square. It is one of the biggest lie Africans are being lead to believe in, there's nothing like Free markets. These people know that Airpeace is going to take a fair share of their markets if allow to operate, they will do everything to frustrate Airpeace. The west is only nice to you as long as they can exploit you and you are not able to challenge their market and economic dominance, If not that China build themselves to the extent that even the west can't do without them easily, look at how they ban Huawei and China from accessing Chips, well i can't blame them it is basic human nature. No one want to lose the top dogs spot all in the name of free and fair competition and the person below you will do anything to displace you. Africa will have a lot of problems with the west in the future unless we want to remain poor and backward. 15 Likes 4 Shares |

Scotland’s Only Refinery Announces Closure, Citing Inability To Compete with Modern Plants In Africa, Asia Scotland’s 100-year-old Grangemouth refinery is set to close in 2025, turning into a fuel terminal amid mounting global competition. Dangote Refinery may have recorded its first casualty as Grangemouth, Scotland’s only refinery, is to shut down in 2025 with the loss of 400 jobs, as competition tightens. The refinery’s operator, Petroineos, said the refinery was increasingly unable to compete with bigger, more modern and efficient plants in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Petroineos added that the 100-year-old plant will be turned into a fuel import terminal. Quoting the company’s spokesman, Reuters reported that production will cease in the second quarter of next year, subject to an employee consultation. Petroineos is a t venture between PetroChina International London (PCIL) and INEOS Group, a British chemicals firm founded by billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The company cited economic difficulties as the reason for the closure, stating that the company had invested $1.2 billion since 2011, and returned losses above $775 million over the same period. “Grangemouth is increasingly unable to compete with bigger, more modern and efficient sites in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Due to its size and configuration, Grangemouth incurs high levels of capital expenditure each year just to maintain its licence to operate,” Reuters quoted the company as saying. It said the plant is currently losing around $500,000 per day, and expects to see a $200 million loss for 2024. Chief Executive of Petroineos Refining, Frank Demay, added: “With a ban on new petrol and diesel cars due to come into force within the next decade, we foresee that the market for those fuels will shrink further.” https://www.arise.tv/scotlands-only-refinery-announces-closure-citing-inability-to-compete-with-modern-plants-in-africa-asia/ Cc Mynd44 Nlfpmod

Goodlyhrt: Paying top dollars in Nigeria lol ? It is like you are not living in Nigeria, with the economy hardships and crazy inflation it is going to be hard to make profits. Most of the viewing centre in my area are out of business a long time ago. But if you feel you can do it and there's a high chance of success in your location give it a try 1 Like |

Ezeama400: Yeah we know them, South East is the smallest region in Nigeria but still have a whooping over 10%. if they calculate it by how prevalence it is in an area South East is going to be on top of the table. On top of that your cities dominated dirtiest cities in Nigeria. It is also not like your people aren't contributing to open defeacation in other regions, how many of those Igbo Kiosk owners that sell by the road side build toilet with their Kiosk ? If they want to shit you don't need a sooth sayer to tell you where they shit and urinate. All Igbo road side kiosks owners must be banned to curb this in south west. 1 Like |

One thing Nigerians don't know is that it is this organizations, causing inflation in Nigeria. These organizations can easily boycott and ostracize any business person not dancing to their selfish wishes. There's never going to be something like free markets in Nigeria as long as we have these organizations doing as they wishes, they are the one that set the prices of goods and services and any one that sell lower will be punish by them. 2 Likes |

AntiChristian: It seem you have low comprehension. You won't gain 150 naira on 10k considering the cost of getting cash and rent you pay for space and other things and you make it sound very easy like it is so easy to get customers unless you are lucky to be in a very busy area, even busy area have low patronization with bad economy in Nigeria, i see many Pos stand at popular locations shutting down all the time, most POS are in the streets and local area with little patronization and at most 50k to 100k capital. And with the rate of inflation in Nigeria, you think 150 naira profits on 10k is something, you are really delusional. What about the risks involve in the business? POS operator are being robbed and killed or even scammed, a lot of them lose a lot of money to scammers and fraudsters. You think getting 150 naira per 10k worth all those targets on their back with the inflation in the country ? why don't you go start it if it's so easy. Most Nigerians are hypocrites, unless you are the one affected or involve you don't care. |
![]() |
AntiChristian: So he should be fetching money from trees to pay staffs ? not all POS operators have the opportunity to source for cash from traders, especially the one outside market area, besides Nigeria won't let you benefit from them for free, you will see them doing shakara and want you to become their servants that do things for them because you are benefitting a little from them. Many POS operators still use Banks to source for Cash because Nigerians won't help you for free. |
![]() |
AntiChristian: Terminal will also deduct its charges, 50 naira on 10,000 and 100 naira on 20k and above. ATM also charge 35naira for every 5k withdrawal if you source for cash at the bank, what about transportation ? what about space rent ? include the recent EMT charges. This Government is also working toward remitting tax from POS and CAC registration that cost 20k, i can see the business dying off in the future. |
![]() |
IamANigerianMan: You are actually wrong Let me break it down for you The terminal charge 50naira for withdrawal of 10,000 naira and 100 naira on 20,000 and above. With the limit on ATM withdrawal by banks, POS have to go extra miles to source for cash, if they go to bank, bank will also deduct another 35naira per every 5000 naira withdrawn, what about the transportation fare to get to the bank ? POS also pay for space they rent. Now the average cost POS charge for trying to withdraw 10,000 naira in my area is 200, terminal will take 50 naira, if the money was withdrawn at ATM, ATM will take 70 naira, plus the cost of transport, plus cost of space, plus electronic transfer levy and other miscellaneous charges. So you want POS operator to barely see 100 naira profits on 100,000 naira capital ? With the situation in the country many POS are already out of business, the business won't survive because this government will use their policy to kill it. I haven't mention CAC registration and tax remittance that this government is demanding from POS operator, after that's implemented it will finally die. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I just respect his ruggedness that's all because not many people can do what he did putting his life on the line, even in developed countries we have people like them, Japan have Yakuza and America have gang bosses. |

sarrki: One thing i respect about MC oluomo is he didn't come from a rich family , but today his family are making it and won't be poor for generations to come, he is a transportation union thug but he also put his life on the line. It is not easy to become a boss over thugs in Lagos many became collateral damage for trying the same. Some Nigerians talk down on him because he is not educated but he really paid his due even without education, not many can survive through what he did, he was even stabbed some time back and luckily survived, if it is easy to run am like Mc Oluomo oya run am, don't blame the player blame the game. 48 Likes 3 Shares |

Meet Nigeria’s Ibukun Olubiyi, who just opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Canada’s capital city Ibukun Olubiyi is behind a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. A native of Lagos, Nigeria, she was raised between Lagos, London, and Dublin but moved to Canada to complete a bachelor’s degree in sociology at McMaster University. It was during those university years that she first experienced the U.S.-based fast food outlet Chick-fil-A. According to her, she was part of a group of 50 students who had traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana, to partner with Habitat for Humanity and build homes for displaced residents who were still suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. During the 27-hour drive, they stopped to eat at Chick-fil-A. “To be honest, what stood out to me more than the food was the impeccable customer service, especially the Team who were extremely courteous as they took my order,” she recalled. Ibukun has now been in Ottawa for over a decade after graduating from McMaster University in 2012 to study human resources management at Algonquin College. She even had an MBA from Loughborough University in the UK while still living in Ottawa. She became a Chick-fil-A restaurant owner following the expansion of the franchise in Canada. Owning a Chick-fil-A was also another opportunity for her to build a legacy in her local community. “Legacy is important to me because I have seen the rewards of a great legacy in my family, where integrity was always at the centre of everything my family did and ultimately set me up for success,” Ibukun said. “I am grateful for the many opportunities I have had in Ottawa after graduating from university, most of which were a result of people taking a chance on me and developing my leadership abilities. I want to be able to do that for other young people in the city.” Ibukun hopes to help other young people by prioritizing greater salaries, mentorship, and life coaching, including immigration information workshops and financial planning advice. Besides ing her team of over 100, she enjoys giving back to the community through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ food donation program, ing community boards, and participating in Ottawa business organizations. “My vision for my Restaurant is to be a positive influence on everyone we come in with in the city of Ottawa,” she said. “Not only do I want to win the hearts of the Kanata community through an exceptional Chick-fil-A experience, but I also want to be a part of the solution for any challenges facing my local neighborhoods.” Chick-fil-A, Inc. is the third largest quick-service restaurant company in the United States. Ibukun’s Chick-fil-A, which opened last month, is the 15th Chick-fil-A in Canada, as the company hopes to expand across the country. https://face2faceafrica.com/article/meet-nigerias-ibukun-olubiyi-who-just-opened-the-first-chick-fil-a-restaurant-in-canadas-capital-city Cc Mynd44 Nlfpmod 1 Like |

lazkizz: Not all stories have an happy ending Even if the country get divided to ten parts tomorrow there's no guarantee that things will turn out well, the situation may be worse than Sudan and Somalia. Reality is always different from how you guys usually predict things, this is not video game and fantasy, will dividing the country change the evil and corrupt nature of Nigerians ? how will dividing the country suddenly make Nigerians to change from their corrupt and greedy lifestyle ? Corruption, greed and selfishness are the core problems of Nigerians, it is what gave birth to the corrupt system we are using in Nigeria. Corrupt , greedy and selfish people can't create a fair and development oriented system, they will design something that they can exploit and something that suit their corrupt, greedy and selfish lifestyle. Things will never change even if Nigeria get divided to 10 parts as long as the people themselves never change, more problems that's more troublesome and complex will sprang up in those new countries. 5 Likes 1 Share |

yarimo: It is different this time around and you know that. The inflation and economic hardship is off the chart, everything increase by almost 500% in a year. It is people like you that won't tell Tinubu the truth that will make him lose bitterly. Tinubu is also not like Buhari that have the humongous north votes backing him as a northerner, South west won't back Tinubu like the north back Buhari, in fact Tinubu will struggle to rig south west votes. 10 Likes |

Warrior99: Peter Obi will only have a chance if PDP adopted him and somehow magically make him their candidate in place of Atiku. Labour Party still don't have the structure to win outside of the East and South South and that's possible because of the strong tribal sentiment, same way the north won't vote Peter Obi over Atiku. Peter Obi can manage to scoop some votes from South west but Igbo continuous insult and attack on the west everyday has reduced that votes to almost zero. The media broadcast of the Igbo women threatening to poison Yoruba and calling other Igbo to poison Yoruba is only what is needed to destroy any Peter Obi chance in south west. Atiku can easily win south west because of the strong PDP structure, Yoruba won't even think about tribal affiliation with Tinubu because of the policies that seem not to give a Bleep about Nigerians and where they are from if PDP just make promises to change things around even if it a lie they will vote massively for Atiku. 7 Likes 1 Share |

With all the anti people policies so far that seem not to be ending anytime soon, Tinubu have no chance for second term even if he want to rig, i don't see how he can easily pull it off. If Tinubu beat Atiku again then it is 100% rig, with all the policies that seem not to give a fvck about Nigerians survival there's no way in hell he is going to win even South west won't vote for him. People are going to vote for Atiku not because he is going to turn things around or because he is better than Tinubu, they are going to vote for Atiku because Tinubu just put Nigerians through so much suffering and they can't just bare to vote for him again, 2027 is for Atiku as long as he play his card right. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Brendaniel: And i am telling you that since the Dawn of time things can never be equal, even nature and god are not making things equal. You work on the advantages you have and gain more advantages. Even if Eastern port matches Lagos's ports infrastructure, what about Lagos security ? even after that what about Lagos economy and output ? When will they have a port on the same level as Lekki's port ? or will they clamour for FG to build it because you want to beat Lagos ? Lagos already gained the Advantage in Ports aspect and they still have that much advantages because they are continuously working on it so things can never be equal unless you bomb Lagos state. When the competition started leaders in the East and South South didn't bother about all that so Lagos already leading with a big margin. It is like telling your opponent in a race to stop down so you can match him and overtake him, it is not possible. |
