Hello guys?

Been feeling bad since yesterday. Held unto Gamestop for 6 months awaiting a short squeeze. Entered at $6, sold at $10, re-entered at $13 two months ago, sold three days ago at $18.11 and boom the squeeze started after selling. Currently at $40 in just 2 days and it has been hell for me because I missed out!

Any advice?
I'm currently on the same page with you...Bought Lexicon at $2 ...Sold this week at 3.9 after holding for a while.
Yesterday Lexicon rose to $8. I was pained. If I held for just 2 more days...We meuuuveeeee

They should. It is a Nigerian card and not dollar.

But other banks' card are also in naira and not dollar yet you can't use it in a naira domiciled marketplaces. Can we try pls? I'd send you invoice for 50 naira purchase and then you try to pay the invoice. I'd refund the 50 bucks to you if successful.

I've linked my dorm card on Gpa.y but it's not funding my Trading 212 .

What could be wrong?
Should I'm my bank or what?

My ogas in the house, I have asked this question before and nobody cared to answer it. And I am asking again please:

From your personal experiences using dollar cards tied to dom s, which banks have their dollar card working with T212 for withdrawal and deposit(through Gpay).
Are there banks whose dollar card do not respond with T212?

Secondly, can a dollar card operate without a dom ?

Hello guys, when buying shares on T212 what's the meaning of the following in simple English: Limit, Stop, Stop Limit? Also, how do I see the stocks I hold after paying for them?

Soul well lifted sir. Really appreciated.

This happens to every one in the market at some point or the other in our trading history.

Snap out from feeling bad, and be proud of yourself that you did a good job identifying the value in this stock ahead of time. That means you can repeat this skill in another stock if you settle down and follow the same process you employed.

You could have also sold at a loss. Therefore, be comforted with the fact that this cannot be more painful than the pain of a loss.

Receive it as a lesson, dust yourself, and move on with the wisdom from this trade that in the end, we are all trading patience, not stocks.

I hope this lifts the spirit.

1. We cannot know until someone confirm his or her card with a particular bank is not working.
2. To the best of my knowledge, a dollar card should take its funding from a source. either through a DOM directly or even a prepaid card to be funded also from a DOM . (e.g. FirstBank Visa Prepaid card)

However small you think it is, congratulations for even starting.
Value stocks is what you should concentrate on.
Growth stocks will sweep your capital and make it look insignificant as they are usually heavily priced.

Still working on some stocks that will likely make good swing trades with possible long term prospects.

We see how far we go in days.

STOCK FOCUS: $LUMN-$10.53
Century Link is a communications company that was heavily neglected during the rallies of 2020 due to their decision to slash dividends due to decreasing revenues and their desire to pay debts.

It is currently trading at 75% lower than its historical P/S ratio which makes it a sure candidate to rebound this year when you consider they have enough free cash flows with an impressive dividend yield of 10%.

I have watched it slowly crawled beyond $9 to $10.50 today.

I have taken position today.

Dtarmon:

ed

Welcome to a world of quarterly dividends.
At your entry price, every $1,000 will guarantee you $100 dividend every year for life asides the capital appreciation that has already started.

Patience wins the race.

I hope this explains Limit order, Stop order, Stop Limit order, etc. to a level you’d understand. $ACTC is the stock I use for the demonstration

I have never withdrawn from any of my platforms including T212 so I can't say about withdrawals.
What I advise to ensure you get your payment in USD is to fund your via a dorm .
If you have to do a card transaction, get a debit card (ATM) for your dorm and use.
There is then no way they will be converting to naira when all they have is your USD card.

So far, my UBA and StanbicIBTC USD cards have worked.
Don't know if there are any further restrictions as to volume of cash per period.

A dollar card can't operate without a dorm .
From my days as a banker, I can tell that every card originates from the base from which it is operated.

You pay cash (dollars) into your dorm . You use your dollar denominated card to make payment.

I have deposited into T-212 via gpay with both my GTB and StanbicIBTC USD cards both linked with a dorm . However, I have only withdrawn into my StanbicIBTC dorm through the USD debit card. From my experience, StanbicIBTC is more seamless with no need to first transfer funds from the dorm to the USD debit card before depositing.

No Bank will let you operate a USD card without linking it to a source (dorm ). Also, few years ago when Zenith Bank issued my USD "credit" card with monthly $5k max spend, it was still linked to my dorm . The credit card lets me spend upto $5k, but to pay back at month end with monthly maintenance fee of $5.

The only best advice I can give you is to think like Buffet

Hold your stocks for long. Think long term investing, rather than short term trading. Imagine you bought more shares @ $6 monthly.

You for de sing now bá.

Next time, if you had a good reason for buying a company, believe in the company and never sell except those beliefs about the company never hold true again.

I don't know anything grin

I think I can start thinking of my retirement plan. Nothing like seating at the water front with your Macbook, Palmwine and bush meat analysing stock technicals and fundamental.

Stock Trading is a serious business as I have seen the potentials in just a year of active trading. Better than Forex that I traded for 13 years and never withdrew once!

Work smart not hard!

Good luck to us all.
