I've said it many times...inec should go to the election with the dead man on the ballot paper...anything else calls for litigation

What a nice development,Bello and Audu's son should go and sit down or fight for the post of the deputy Gov.When u look at this very issue with an umbiased mind,U'll know Faleke is the best person to replace Audu whether he is from the minority group or religion,it shouln't affect this very issue at this point in time.

Psalm18:It does. But in this case where the election was declared inconclusive, the Supreme Court would have to interprete the law with its discretion.

free2ryhme: times is a very credible platform. Am very sure they won't publish the story if it is false. Beside, there is nothing bad in the letter to warrant a denial from him. This is what most of us expected from him. And again, the letter was written by his counsel, Wole Olanipekun. Am very sure times won't drop the name of olanipekun if they are not 100% sure of the authenticity of the letter. 1 Like |

Olanipekun the law ! What a legal instinct & logic, the vote has been cast, counted & declared in favour of Audu/Faleke ticket so it is logically wrong & ethically foolish for another person to be brought in by the party to come & reap where he did not labour. Suppreme court here we come. Lawyers are indeed very learned . .but we shall wait for other sound view of other legal luminaries ..This scenario will be a good case study in our legal system.

sauceny: They may not necessarily be sworn in as in the case of Atiku/Haruna. Hadn't been they've been declared the winners of the poll, his argument would have been right. |

The minority in the state will hold house and the executive (Speaker & deputy, and the governor). Soon they will be another problem because they will ask the speaker to resign to balance the equation and of course he will refuse. in 2019, PDP will use that to campaign and the state will go back to PDP.

TonyeBarcanista:my thoughts exactly. as it stands, we will start to experience injunctions just to delay the process. I can't fault Inec decision because they can't go to the Supreme court without the consent of the AGF. |
