Ikorodu is actually Ijebu land. Ikorodu is historically bound to Ogun State, not Lagos State. Lagos is actually a small place, so the government had to co-opt the outlying parts of Ogun State like Epe, Ikorodu, Badagry, Lekki etc to make Lagos State bigger. Cheers.

Culture is important, but it evolves. Any cultural practice that endangers lives or restricts freedom, especially for children on a day meant to celebrate them needs to be reconsidered, reformed, or relocated in a way that honors tradition without harm.
