Only in Nigeria will a social cultural organisation demand that an Examination body give candidates marks they do not deserve as "compensation".

This tribalism thing will wound this country like there is no tomorrow, imagine considering "compensation" ahead of merit with children.....chaiiii

AH!

Nigeria with ethnic Jingoism.

Anyway, ma.dness in Nigeria is turn by turn. It is the turn of the Ohaneze right now.

grin grin grin grin

There is something happening to the igbo tribe....and whatever it is, it is destructive.

Lagos has the highest number of candidates affected.

A girl ( who is not Igbo) even committed suicide for low score

Director of ICT in JAMB is an Igbo man

Yet it is Igbos elders who are asking for undue reward, advocating to reap where their children did not sow.

The pattern is troubling

Professor Is-haq Oloyede is too honest for a system that often punishes integrity.

In a country where dodging responsibility is common, he stood tall—owning up to technical glitches that weren’t even directly his fault.

That’s real leadership.

But of course, this is Nigeria—where sincerity is mocked and failure is excused. So, the backlash, insults, and calls for resignation? Sadly, not surprising.

Let’s be clear: some of the loudest critics are those who thrived under a corrupt system. Ever since Oloyede shut down exam malpractice and blocked expo cartels, they’ve been itching for revenge. This isn’t just outrage—it’s retaliation.

Don’t let the noise fool you.

He brought sanity to a sector that was once a mess. One setback can’t erase years of reform.

Ask yourself: how many leaders take responsibility when things go wrong—even when it’s not their fault?

That’s the kind of honesty we should be celebrating.

The option of resit is a no no. The torture of studying over and over again, strenuously is not okay for the already stressed kids. JAMB should check their Back end Storage or award this kids some extra marks.

[quote author=Sharpsharp00123 post=135378578]head of jamb ICT is called fabian okoro

Don't be a laggard, update your software because it's outdated.
Fatima Usman is the current director of ICT jamb.

When it was Fabian okoro, it was poetry in motion.

I think there is more to this JAMB result than meets the ear.

I do not know why I have started suspecting sabotage, some folks wanting to get back ag JAMB.

Just a niggling suspicion that there is a greater objective in all of these

papyjaypaul:

I don't believe in who won but both sides are correct. The students must get the marks they deserve and they must be given a conducive environment to do their exams. Exam is not just writing on a piece of paper or going to a computer, your state of mind must be calm to write an exam.

For JAMB, we must encourage them to develop a robust exam that cannot be compromised. I am not a fan of JAMB because what it was setup to solve, our corruption as a country has eaten it but we must also give it to them for trying to put a system in place to stop the wrong people from getting ission.

Nigerians have to it that CORRUPTION WILL KILL US ALL. Whether it's corruption in the ission process, miracle centers, corrupt JAMB staff, lazy parents and bad politicians, we will live with the results in a few years when the children we refused to mould properly start taking care of us in our old age. I don't think a lot of people think about the society they are creating. They are not

Nigeria is such a joke. They go as low as manipulating scores in only igbo states? Very disgusting. If you people hate the Igbo so much, allow them to form their own country. Very terrible

“We want to state unequivocally that our people will not accept any fresh examination, having already been subjected to mental torture by JAMB."

which "our people"?

is it ohaneze that enrolled this "our people" for JAMB that it is now the one deciding for who will accept fresh exam or not?

why does it not usually come to say "“We want to state unequivocally that our people will not accept sit-at-home order"?

He declared that, “having said this, we demand that JAMB should allocate 300 score to all the South-East candidates affected by its own error not that of the candidates. Igbos are very brilliant people and could have made 300 and above.

are these people so dumb?

if that is how scores are allocated based on ethnicity, why then is exam necessary?

is this clown saying that in the history of JAMB, no igbo candidate has scored less than 300?

Whoever advises jamb to make a public apology is the most idiotic person in the world of corporate image..

First you make a mistake, second you made a stupid judgement to come online and make an apology..

People don’t understand human psychology and public perception.. the public isn’t that bright.

Chai!!!

In critical decision making, picking between two tough decisions…. you think it thoroughly and look at the long term effect of your decisions… make an apology now and lose an entire public trust over the years and future??

There are better ways to have gone about this… you could have called for a second jamb for everyone in later part of the year…. Something like second chance maybe in July to write jamb due to mass failure… The pubic will praise you for your goodness, and you internally deal with the situation and punish who needs to be punished… win win situation..

Now you tarnish your image, public trust!!! Worst of all bringing opportunities for people to start a tribal argument over nonsense

And the crazy thing is glitch or no glitch… many kids will still fail… now they all have the perfect excuses
I thought so too...and to a people incapable of rationality!
