Pls do they request for LCA and Form ETA-9035/9035E for h1b interview.

I will advise you go with a copy, just in case. Request from your employer a copy if you don't have one.

Normally, they should give him a copy of the LCA. Like you said, if he doesn't have it, he should request it from his employer.

It is so very important to build one's sense of confidence working in this part of the world. There will be so many things that will want to make you feel intimidated from accent, having co-workers say "could you repeat that" as if it is not English we are speaking already. These little little comments often prevent a lot of professionals who relocate to this part of the world from presenting comfortably at work. And presentations, being bold and eloquent is part of the expectation of most jobs here.

You can read more about how to overcome this in the thread https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/8356654/building-self-esteem-confidence

Hi everyone, I don't know if this is the right platform to drop this but I need some advise on Visa renewal. My US Visa expires in may and I am currently in the US, is it possible to do a drop box in Nigeria to renew my visa since it hasn't expired yet?. Pls advise.

I saw this late as I don’t use Nairaland that often.

If you can get a date go to one of the Caribbean islands.

I renewed mine the day you posted this at Santo Domingo and saw few Nigerians as well.

It’s an interview process. Same as before.

I haven’t heard anyone denied there might be though.

Hello everyone,

Thank you all so much for your and help on this platform.

Please, I need some advice. My aunt, through her son, who is a U.S. citizen, applied for a migrant visa. She submitted all the required documents, including her medicals, sometime in 2023 and subsequently had an interview in Nov 2023, to which her port was taken and that white paper issued to her. However, since then, there has been no update, and her port was held till date

Towards the end of last year, she tracked her case and saw that the status read “Refused.” But no sign of her port being released. However, just this week, she received an email inviting her for another interview and requesting that she come along with previous ports.

Is this normal? Has anyone experienced something similar? What steps should she take at this point?

Thank you so much.

I don't see any problem.
Let her go there for the interview with the documents they requested for.

You don't need to know if anyone has ed through this . Your family wanted an update and they have received one .

Short accommodation options

1. Search for "extended stay" hotels in the city you are moving to. You will see those "hotels" with small kitchen inside and affordable. You will see names like HomeTowne Studio, Studio6, Motel6, Extended Stay America etc. Just makes sure they have kitchens inside. You can book any of these even from Nigeria but you must deposit money on arrival.

2. Get an Airbnb. This is like renting an apartment or house for short stay. Airbnb.com

3. If you are coming to live here, you can search for apartment or house to rent from apartment.com, zillow.com

As per connecting with Nigerians, if you are moving here to live, that's not a problem. You meet many Nigerians in Georgia.

Pls I need some advise , recently I was given a 221(g) form for my H1b interview. The consular discovered that the petitioner on her system is different from what is in i797b approval. Then she noted some documents I need to come with on my 221g form to summit at the iOS service centre where my original transcript is part of the documents. Though I HV all these documents she asked me to bring. My question is that will these documents be returned BK to me cos of dt original transcript ? What can I do?

Book an appointment because they might ask your appointment confirmation printout when you get there.

They didn't bother to ask if I had an appointment the day I went there to submit my document, probably because nobody was around for them to attend to. But it's advisable to always book an appointment
