Their duty is to obey the last order.
The order comes from the President to the IGP, then to Area commands, state commands e.t.c before getting to the rank and file.
It's illegal for police officers to go against an order no matter his/her personal biases.
But you can see them enjoying it, they like dealing with civilians

My recent encounter with policemen makes me happy seeing this one crying. But if he's a good man, may help locate him. More pains and death to wicked officers.

your order is to serve the country not your boss.. you only obey yur boss if his order reflect the greater good for the country and serve the country interest...you must disobey your boss order if it violates the constitution of the country for which you swore to obey...their allegience should be to the country not the boss but then nigerians are mostly emotional or boastful

It is cowardly for an officer to be crying like this, officers all over the world go through stress and sometimes loose their life in the line of duty. Nigerian police welfare must be looked into, this is the only way they can put their mind on their job, but now their mind is on survival, which makes them weak.

This is not time for blame game. not all these policemen are bad. Some of them are very straightforward. I have met some of those good ones
All Nigeria police are the same. Some are more wicked while some are less wicked. I don't pity them and I don't wish them well.

I will personally contribute by buying more buckets for their tears
If Nigerians decide to protest for a better country, it's still these same idiots that will be sent to teargas and manhandle them. Since they fight protesters like the country is in perfect condition, they should keep enjoying it

That policeman should shut up already. He should cover himself in shame.

When the youths want to protest, they're the ones that would block everywhere. They're the ones who are too stupid to know that if this country works, they would be the highest beneficiaries. I contribute N20,000 for more buckets of tears. More donations should keep rolling in. For tears only.

how much is 90k? what can it buy? Can 90k buy one bag of rice, assuming that the family wants to eat it raw without salt and water everyday of the month?

Why not say what they did instead of this vague story.

Oga police no body send una for this country again, when Nigerians came out to protest for better governance and a better quality of life even for you people shey una begin shoot Nigerians abi?sotay one fool that was over zealous just hoping up and down shooting civilian's as if he was acting action movie of war and that video trended then meanwhile he and you guys will run when kidnappers or criminals are operating anywhere.

A woman who was under attack by Fulani kidnappers in kubwa Abuja kept calling you people who were just a stone throw from her place and all you people could tell her is ok we are coming and you never came, even when they took her children and she ran following them and then ran to your place to tell you the kidnappers just went this way so if you come out you will meet them and save the victims yet you cowards ignored her and now you want Nigerians to help you?oga check back next year.

Yes. The duty of the soldiers who took orders from Adolf Hitler was also to obey and most of them were executed. This is a police officer crying on video. He will continue crying until he realizes that the gun and uniform he has does not make him any different from the protesting youths who are also crying.

If you close all police stations, all communities will set up vigilante groups and arm themselves. I assure you that crime will reduce significantly. The Nigerian police are among the key drivers of crime in Nigeria. When kidnappers were terrorizing the people of Uromi where was the police? But when the people of Uromi fought back all of a sudden the police is active. The Nigerian police is made up of 90% criminals. When you take a bunch of Nigerians struggling with poverty and give them guns, ammunition, and uniforms, you have successfully created a band of criminals.
