https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6edjFo7gdM Some police officers have posted a video online, asking Nigerians to come to their aid after what seemed like a terrorist attack. Amid tears, one of the officers begged Nigerians for help. Excerpts: "...as a Sergeant, I am dying here. Look how they burn all our things, they killed alot of people. Nigerians look into our problems! Nigerians look into our problem!!. We are dying, No helper, Why! Why!! Why!!......" 2 Likes |

I will personally contribute by buying more buckets for their tears If Nigerians decide to protest for a better country, it's still these same idiots that will be sent to teargas and manhandle them. Since they fight protesters like the country is in perfect condition, they should keep enjoying it 280 Likes 28 Shares |

I’m beginning to believe there’s some kind of unspoken agreement—or perhaps even a contract—between Nigeria’s security chiefs and our so-called “selected presidency” leaders. A silent deal that says: no revolt, no ability, no sack—no matter what. As a reminder, one of our Honourables pointed this out just hours ago on Channels TV: “From the government of President Jonathan, to Buhari, and now Tinubu—how many security chiefs have ever been held able or sacked for incompetence?” The answer? Almost none. It’s as if once you enter that elite circle, you become untouchable—no matter the failure, no matter the cost to lives and national security. This pattern speaks volumes, not just about the leaders themselves, but about a broken system that rewards loyalty over results, and silence over action. 'Oga olopa' go-an hold your chief able. 46 Likes 8 Shares |

Zionmdde:Their duty is to obey the last order. The order comes from the President to the IGP, then to Area commands, state commands e.t.c before getting to the rank and file. It's illegal for police officers to go against an order no matter his/her personal biases. 16 Likes 6 Shares |

They will arrest him and fire him for this.. The same way they arrested those police officers that were given 5k each by the Chinese. Every road in this country has some police officers collecting bribes, but their Ogas at Abuja were behaving as if that was news to them. 27 Likes 3 Shares |

Until you and your colleagues in uniform are ready to team up with the masses to confront the greedy Nigerian politicians once and for all, you are not yet ready to be liberated from poverty.

The Nigerian government is serious about insecurity only to the extent that they make billions out of it and manipulate it for political purposes. A DPO I used to know years back once said that if certain kinds of crime and corruption are prevalent in an area, the DPO or has a hand in it. Aside for the needed policy changes, istrative changes are also needed. The security personnel, especially the heads, need to be held able for certain crimes in thier areas. When a DPO knows he would be held fully able for certain crimes in his AOO, he will sit up. Also the FG and states need to fund security better. There is no reason why each state should not have at least 1 helicopter for patrols and rapid deployments, and 2 drones for tracking and surveillance. 2 Likes |
