Pls carefully go through page 1 of this thread.
To get max points you need to evaluate 2 degrees since you don't have a MSc., professional degree or PHD. For 2 degree points, one degree must be at least 3 years long.
* evaluate the BSc.
* evaluate the Diploma.
* write IELTS.
* immediately the pool once above 3 are done.
* complete your PGDE and evaluate it - this may not be required but is what I would do in case of incasity!
For Express Entry you don't need to have a degree in the job you are claiming points for but with CBD it seems prudent to evaluate anything that relates to the profession, especially if you're using 6 months experience only.
You'll be eligible by June ending - 6 months.
Thank you so much for this response 🙏

Hello everyone, please I have a few questions on how to go about taking advantage of the Teachers Category Based Draw...
I have a BSC in ing but presently transitioning into Education.
I have a Professional Diploma in Education and presently doing PGDE. I officially started classroom teaching in January this year.
My question is...which of my certificates do I evaluate?
Do I evaluate my BSC in ing a d add the Diploma and PGDE as additional certificates? Or I evaluate just the Diploma and PGDE? Having in mind that it's the teachers route I intend to take.
Thanks 🙏
You'll evaluate both. I did something related to zoology in school but now teach agric and have been doing that for 3 years now. I did a pgde and TRCN. I evaluated both my degree from a federal University and my pgde from NOUN. It came out as 2 or more degrees. You can check my posts through my profile to see my WES evaluation report for confirmation. I'm also positioned for the education category draws and hoping my CRS meets up when it happens. Be fast and the pool. Good luck

Good morning all,
Pls I have a concern about a health condition. Does anyone know if being hepatitis b positive can impact on PR application? Is it enough reason to get a negative response at the medical stage of the process?

Hello guys. I’ll very much appreciate responses to my question.
I have been on this PR journey for a while and now I have PPR.
I have a finance that I would love to have me as quickly as possible. We are not married so, I can’t add her as a dependent.
My question is what is the best way to have her me quickly?
Will I be able to invite her for visit visa if I can prove the relationship ? I really want student visa to be the last resort.

One option is to marry her now before you land and have her added to your application.

Hey guys,
I’m in a very tricky situation and I need some advice from people here from different walks of life before I make my decision.
I’m currently in Canada 26 years of age, and in a serious dilemma.
I’m currently trying to get PR and it seems I have a couple of options with its own uncertainty pros and cons, and I need advice from you guys after getting advice from a lawyer.
My base CRS points is 476
And I have a few things I can do to circumvent this low score:
1. Foreign Work Experience:
I have 7 months of valid work experience in Tech in Nigeria, but that’s the problem… it’s just 7 months and I need a full year. But I also did NYSC and have access to a person at my PPA that can give me reference letter, and have all documents I need to my NYSC experience. But I wasn’t paid for the NYSC except the government pay of 33k. My lawyer said NYSC can’t be used to claim foreign experience but I’ve heard stories of people using theirs. So I wanted to ask if anyone here has successfully used NYSC **Recently** to get PR. This would bring my points to a respectable 526.
2. Marriage
This I really don’t want to do, but I have a child coming (Canadian citizen) with a woman here. The pregnancy was a mistake but she wants a child so she kept it and I also agreed to help out. I don’t like her enough to marry her, but seeing my circumstances I might be forced to. She really likes me and I think I can convince her to a marriage, but this is not something I would like to do ATALL. Lawyer said it’s my best chance since we already have a kid together, it’s almost a slam shut case I would get it with this route. But the girl is very bipolar, she can switch up at any moment and lawyer warned me that her switching up could also hurt my chances as much as it can help my chances.
3. Refugee
This is the worst option, as I went to undergrad school in the UK, did nysc, worked in Nigeria and moved to Canada. It will be very hard to argue that I had issues, but mehn I need anything at this point.
4. Go back home & get the remaining 5 months experience
We all know how Nigeria is, this is a death choice, I’m basically giving up with this option. But I have 7 months of foreign experience right now, I can go back to Nigeria and find work for the remaining 5 months (gods willing) and then apply with my points at 536, and I will have to wait for ITA in Nigeria. This is most likely the safest option but the most mentally devastating one.
Please folks I NEED your advice as I only have 8-9 months left in Canada, time is running out and I need something to use an option and stick to it, but I’m not sure which route to go.
Thank you!
Bro, that NYSC is what you need. You need to fight, try your best and shoot for that. It works and works well. That's all you need.

The simple answer is "no, it's absolutely not enough reason to have a negative response". With hepatitis b, you can still get your PPR.
The longer answer is that any health situation, regardless what it is, can affect your application if it will put significant stress on the Canadian health system. What constitutes significant stress will be determined by the examining doctor. But if you have always managed your viral load well and it is reduced such that you are healthy, Hepatitis B shouldn't be a problem that will cause significant impact on the country's healthcare system.

The thing about many lawyers, agents, even IRCC recognized representatives is that they have no skin in the game and they benefit from scenarios where you are desperate and rely on them heavily for advice!
I'm struggling to understand his rationale and would strongly advise you get a second legal opinion if you feel you need legal advice.
Most people here suggested to come clean and send a webform to explain the missing WE from past applications...someone even said he made the same error but scaled through.
How does the lawyer propose you address the issue in a subsequent PR application?
Regarding the options, you know that if you marry your baby mama or even claim to be common law, you'll still apply for PR and have to provide your 10 year personal history. Ask a cross section of the refugee gang how things are going for them. Every filing and appeal costs money, can last many years and weighs on your mental health. Even if you reapply using 1 yr NYSC, what will you do about the missing WE which was why you withdrew your previous application? You would either leave it out again and be silent or include it and explain the previous ommission, which is what a webform would have done.
Also....check your CRS again. You have 2 degrees....with Canadian education and Canadian work experience of 2 or 3 years - even without the NYSC which people have shared works, you should have a very healthy CRS. Unless none of your WE (foreign and Canadian) was 1 yr continuous. Have you read through the NYSC cases on NL? Why are you skeptical that it will not fly nowadays?
Anyway....please forgive my rant.......I just think these guys sometimes suggest options they wouldn't take if it were their personal application.
Life is a risk. Sometimes just follow your guts. Regarding IRCC I received ITA on November 2020. Cut off score was 472 but my CRS was 481. My application was approved after 14 months (post covid delay) and I landed in Canada in May 2022 and resumed work same month.
However, my girlfriend was still back home. She applied for a TRV in May 2022 and visited me in Toronto in July 2022. People advised us to get married and go through the spouse sponsorship application. I wasn’t comfortable with it as she only came to visit and it didn’t go down well with me. We booked consultation with an immigration lawyer (kubeir ) and he made it clear that she didn’t stand a chance with express entry even if she aced the language tests because the cutoff score was high (this was July 2022). We asked about the spousal sponsorship (inland vs Outland). She had a job outside Canada and Inland was out of the way even though she had a visit visa.
I called her some months later after she had left Canada and advised her to just write ielts and have the WES evaluation done to the pool. Her CRS was 481 afterwards and we all had our minds on a potential spousal . She got an ITA out of the blue in March 2023 and became a PR at the end of 2023. I just wasn’t too okay with spousal sponsorship because it felt like a long process that would take a longer time than express entry. Sometimes just do what you’re more comfortable with. It may work out fine

Hi Everyone,
Please I am currently in Canada working (study to work permit) and my field is the social services.( Social services was recently added to priority stream and one only needs 6 months work experience)
I recently wrote my celpip test and got 10 in all except for reading which was 6.
I entered the score into my express entry pool, it did not increase nor decrease my score.
Is there a need to rewrite the language test? Or can I get ITA still with the current language score that I have
Thank you for your responses

Your probability of getting ITA increases with your CRS.
Your CRS will be higher with higher language scores (CLB 6 in reading means you're leaving 24 points on the table, versus a CLB 10). If it were me, I'd rewrite.
Pls study page 1 especially posts 2, 3 and 4..they address your question in detail.

Thank you, please I want to add that prior to writing the language test, I had input all the highest scores to see what CRS score I will get..
Now that I have my real result, my CRS score did not increase or decrease from what it gave me when I put “ dummy score “
So do you still think I should rewrite.. thank you

I honestly hope any party that comes to power will finally tackle the real unemployment crisis in Canada and stop pushing the tired 'labour shortage' propaganda. People are struggling badly.even to get low-wage jobs. The reality on the ground is painful, and it's time the government faced it instead of pretending everything’s fine. It’s sad!

I can understand your point of view exactly as it is, believe me. But this incoming "party/government" means different things (in of the benefit and the shortfalls) to different group of people (immigrants, people in the pool etc). For instance, I am happy that education category was added but transportation category guys are unhappy because they were removed from category draws. For me, Liberal winner means continuity of the current liberal immigration rules and that means education category is here to stay, but a Conservatives win, there'll definitely be a Total overhaul of the system and it'll get more difficult although i believe its the conservatives that can truthfully acknowledge the unemployment crises and tackle it. I'm quite empathetic to everyone's cause but man still gatz look out for himself...lol. I hope you understand... May the best man win!

My question is that, will the reference letter come from the hospital i work or from the state civil service commission? All my work experience is with them, but I have been transferred from hospital to hospital. How do i go about this? Get one letter from the commission or the different hospitals I have been posted to for over 7 years? Please I am so confused and I need help so I don't make any mistake. I tried talking to an expert but their fees is too high. I am a civil servant

It’s best to get the letters from the hospitals and attach payment slips from the commission with a letter of explanation stating why you get paid from the commission.
