"English is your yen yen yen" see his mouth! We're saying A, he's saying B... I don't know who advocated for the abolishment of English now that you're just arguing unnecessarily. 🙄

Perhaps you're just livid because I didn't include your mother tongue? That your moniker sounds like a Calabar name 🤣🤣🤣

If you are smart, you'd have gone through my posts if you want to play the ethnic card before using my moniker in your failed attempt to sound smart.

It's still the national assembly and not yoruba-igbo-hausa assembly. Deal with it.

Correction: if you were smart

You're advocating for the sole proliferation of the English language at the apex level of political affairs in an African nation, but here you are struggling with your conditional statements in English. 😂😂😂

If we check am now, na private school you go ooo... After all the "daddy said we should not speak vernacular" see your life! grin grin grin

In Fela's voice: teacher don't teacher me nonsense.
I was trying to describe your current state but I guess it was over your head.
It's still the national assembly by the way.

He did not undertand what rescind meant was the problem. Although he is also not fluent in speech and what ever injury may have made it worse, possibly aphasia or wernicke.

Not just Yoruba, but the 3 major languages... leadership is not by English, so I it.

But this man's case is unique cos he was said to have an OND from Nigeria and a BSc. in Business from an American University and he also supposedly worked in the US Navy... so how come he can't even express himself clearly? undecided

What happens to other languages that are more than 200?, not important as those three; hence their relegation?
They should jettison a prominent and sophisticated world language like English, with the highest linguistic value and relevance for a mere language with stark ethic bias?
Or they should take a language of other ethnic groups with godforsaken superiority complex?
Abeg, be realistic!
Only those with despicably fanciful ideas are averse and adverse to the use of English as our national language.
It is illogically contemptible just as a terrorist using solely the artefacts of The West to say Western Education is forbidden.

An Ibadan rep Adigun should be allowed to speak in Yoruba language.

We have seen things like this in the past
I am igbo, but I totally agree with you. The national assembly should have interpreters or have those devices used in the UN general assembly meeting that interpretes

Before coming online to type long jargons, learn to understand content and context better so as not to waste your time...

The individual to whom I replied advocated for the adoption of Yoruba, in addition to English and I opined that the 3 major languages would be better as opposed to just Yoruba, as an addition language. Nobody said anything about jettisoning the English language, boy!

Instead of you to put effort into understanding, you just wrote a long, meaninglessness text and wasted your time. 🙄

I don't see any of that. Did he not campaign? He stutters a little no doubt but it's very disturbing that someone who onced was in the army in America doesn't have a good grip of English words.

skipping lectures in school is not only bad, but very injurious to the scriptural lessons of the impact of study in the Bible.
And being poorly and sparsely educated is the new testament of such shenanigans!

Ok.

But on the website below - which tracks lawmakers performance - his disability status is listed as "No".

https://orderpaper.ng/voter/10th-national-assembly-member?id=Adigun-Abass-Adekunle-3481

If he sustained an injury that led to speech impediment - that is something that should be part of the official public record...particularly if such an injury is adversely affecting his ability to express himself. Apart from from a single vaguely worded newspaper article, there is no other reference to this injury.

Something is not adding up.

His profile on the official NASS website is empty. And I mean empty.

Nothing on his educational history, previous offices or even anything about the man himself.

It doesn't compute.

You are right about treating the disabled with respect.

The only problem is...we are not quite sure the man is disabled.

The public needs to be informed about exactly what his disability is, how long he's had it etc.
