I wouldn't have criticized his English, cos he might actually be making more impact than those who speak Queens English, but the fact that he worked in the US Navy and has a degree from an American University is puzzling.

I think his credentials need to be verified.
I don't believe it that he bagged a degree from American university.

I think it's Oluwole certificate,if you investigate more.

FG should adopt English and Yoruba as the two official languages in Nigeria.. if you can express yourself in Yoruba language, you're good to go. The result is koko, not empty promises.

That was why I said it needed to be investigated. I noticed his academic credentials were listed on the national assembly website before, but later it was removed. I really suspect he forged his degree.

Not just Yoruba, but the 3 major languages... leadership is not by English, so I it.

But this man's case is unique cos he was said to have an OND from Nigeria and a BSc. in Business from an American University and he also supposedly worked in the US Navy... so how come he can't even express himself clearly? undecided

Typical Ibadan man. They usually struggle with English. Their thick Yoruba diction won't allow them spk better English

Not like that I some years back this guy survived a terrible accident which I think likely affected his speech but can confirm it

Exactly. He might have forged certificate.

Do you still House of Rep Speaker Buhari who forged certificate of university of Toronto but was later unmasked, disgraced?

I think this lawmaker is in his mould.

I don't know for him o.. that's his problem.

What I know is that time is ripe for Yoruba language to be an official means of communication in Nigeria.. English should be optional.

Yes ooo... Salisu Buhari lol. Back then, Obasanjo was the one in power and the guy was actually removed and sentenced. Nowadays, APC is a criminal party ing the worst of deeds. Tufiakwa!

That's 2 different thing. In this case, he doesn't know what to say. He doesn't even know that the reason for standing was to rescind an earlier motion. Mr speaker had to tell him... That's laughable.

An Ibadan rep Adigun should be allowed to speak in Yoruba language.

We have seen things like this in the past
Speak yoruba in the lower chamber? What happens to other ethnic tribes.

It's called the national assembly not yoruba-igbo-hausa assembly. English language is Nigeria official language.

Hearing his voice, that man has mild cerebral palsy.Even his countenance makes it obvious.
He could be a very good man in his community to have gotten to the House.

Your post was well understood as you're advocating for 3major languages alongside English language.

Once again, it's the national assembly not the yoruba-hausa-igbo assembly.

no, you go and read about her

Omololu-Olunloyo is the daughter of former Oyo State governor Victor Omololu Olunloyo[1] and the second of ten children. She lived for 14 years in Nigeria, 20 years in the United States, and five years in Canada before returning to Nigeria.[2]
So someone who spent 14 years in Nigeria is a brought up. Ori n ta yin sha

See, one of the problems we have as black people is our neglect of our heritage. What is the big deal about English language. It's the language of the slave Masters forced on us so that our languages can be relegated.
I believe this man in question might be sound and have better plans for his constituents but only handicapped by this over hyped language called English.
I think we need to set up our two houses like they do in UN where you can speak in your own tongue and the control room will interpret to the tongues others can understand.

Well, that can justify his OND, but not his US Navy work experience and American degree... I'm guessing he probably forged his degree.
