But all you quoted there didn't stop the employer from installing a camera in their workplace right, it only said they can be informed and not shown the camera. So what makes you think the driver was not informed via the employee handbook in this case? How many employees looking for a job have time to read employees' handwork?

If you do not know that even the smartphone you are using now is constantly recording you and sharing all your secret information with whatever third-party company the phone maker chooses to share them with. but there is a law protecting our privacy. especially in the EU and co. but try and sue them and you will find out that the first document you signed immediately after you bought that phone of yours contains some document where you consented to be recorded and all that. You are sounding as if the employers were wrong to install the camera on their vehicle or they should have dragged the driver's ear into the car and shown him exactly where the camera is. All that will happen here is that the driver will be sacked and nothing will happen. he will go look for another job.
