Actually, many popular Grammy Award winning musicians all around the world today started in the church. The question Pastor Chris is asking is, why do you have to lean on the church initially and later abandon it? He calls it cheating!!

Your argument makes no sense. Pastor Chris did not leave his church as a pastor or a minister or a grown up man. He was still a boy, a teenager who knows nothing about fame, praise or honour. But a boy who has discovered God in a way and many never seen anywhere. So he has to raise people who can share is vision with him. As a teenager that was when Pst Tom and the rest started following him.
