To encourage anyone that is going through the "refused"/ 221g thing. I did my followup interview today and it was straightforward. They most likely have a few things to clarify. At least that was my experience. As long as you didn't overstay, commit a crime or give birth, you should be fine.

My mum’s visa was approved yesterday in Lagos, and it still feels surreal. This was her second attempt we applied for B2 visa category for her and unlike the first time, everything happened so quickly. We got to the embassy, and in less than 20 minutes, she was done.

Here’s how the conversation went:

VO: Good morning.
Mum: Good morning! How are you doing?
VO:Why are you traveling to the U.S.?
Mum: To visit my daughter, she just had a baby.
VO: How long do you plan to stay?
Mum: Two months.
VO: How did your daughter move to the U.S.? Mum: She got married and relocated.

Mum: I’m very sure.

Then, the officer smiled and said, “I’ll be approving your visa. I hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter.”

My mum smiled back and said, “Thank you so much.”

Hi, I've paid my visa fee and scaled the pre-approval request stage. However, when i was given access to the scheduling calendar. The calendar seems to be stuck on March 2025 with the navigation keys ( < > ) not functioning making it impossible for me to move to another month to see the available dates and pick one. I've raised several tickets to no avail. I am getting really frustrated as this has been the case for about a month now. Has anyone else faced this ? And how were they able to overcome the hurdle? Looking forward to responses. Thank you.

You see the DS 106 Form. Fill the information required including a port photograph. State the exact reason for travel (omugwo).

Please, after submitting my DS 106 Form, what should be the next step? I need help! Thanks

Please how long does it take to get port at OIS after visa issuance? My application was placed under 221g but I was asked to submit my port at OIS which I did on 3rd march, visa approved on 12th march and issued on 13th march. But I need to know know when it will be with OIS Abuja and or DHL Abuja.

You should get an email from OIS. I got an email 2 days after issue. You will have the option to pick up from OIS or DHL. DHL is free. OIS is not.

Something that people have tried to reset things is to purposefully enter the wrong three or four times, it will lock your , you can then click , it should send you an email to reset the and you should be able to afterwards. Let me know if it works.

I turned it into prayer and fasting and After 2 weeks they called me and asked me to show up with an id card (My port was still with them). They scheduled it themselves.

YES, YOU CAN OPT FOR DHL DELIVERY AND PAY 50K PLUS...BUT THE DHL OPTION IS ONLY FOR SELECT CITIES IN NIGERIA...AS LISTED ON THE OIS WEBSITE..IT APPEARS U R NOT IN ANY OF THOSE select cities..your next best option is then authorizing someone to pick up free for you in the city of interview/iw and then use personal dhl or other means to route it to your place.......or select dhl pickup in the nearest city to you...and then go there /send someone to pick up
