Note: The steps for the whole process are set out step by step. For your good, adhere. If not, a possibility exists that the final DS 160 number will be different from the one used to book the appointment. Applicants in those situations will neither be allowed to enter the embassy nor will they be interviewed.
In the event of such an occurrence, kindly call/email the embassy to sort it out.

1. After updating, wait for 72hrs (or 3-days) and logback to your cgi. Click on "appointment " and it will give you options to ; either appointment or e-mail appointment.

2. Any of the options you chose above will give you opportunity to print our a new visa appointment letter which will contain your new DS-160 confirmation number.

Pls I want to know if I have to fill a new DS-160 form for my dad's interview coming up in 2weeks from now.
It was initially filled in 2023 and he got the interview date for July 2024.
All info on the previous form he filled remains the same.
Does he only need to take a recent port photograph along for his interview? Or do we have to fill another DS-160 form again? If yes, pls advise on how to do that.....thanks in advance!

They deny Canadian PRs US visit visas. If you're just a PR with no job and/or ongoing education, you may not get it. Even some Canadians don't get to go into the US. Take note!

1. Use another browser ie mozilla, chrome or Microsoft Edge and using a computer might be easier than a mobile phone . Also try to clear catches and browsing histories because the website is naturally sensitive.

2. See attached for guidelines and how the page looks like. You have to choose a location and input the code as instructed. You also have to be quick in filling the form or better jotted down every info you want to fill because you would be timed out and have to start up again if you hesitate more than expected on a page.

1. Did not know it was you . You have actually gone in the way of IW interview waiver in your application hence the complications you are experiencing.

2. Naturally , you do not have to create a separate CGI profile for your kids or minors (except if you are renewing your visas IW). All you have to do is include them in your application via DS-160 like I directed you.

3. Attend your interview and submit your kids application on the day of your interview. Your would-be consular will tell you want you need to do if you have not done it well. Dont be afraid , at worst the consular can place you on 221g and ask you to come back.

2. The meaning of the term above is that you are running away from your responsibility and thinking that going to a 3rd country will give you the opportunity or advantages of the VISA.

3. Only F-1 VISA applicants are excempted from " Consular Shopping" and despite that some Consulars usually use it as the final excuse to deny such VISA. Naturally without any sweet talking, the USA embassies Worldwide prefers all VISA applicants to apply in their countries of origin if you are not hiding anything.

4. But Nevertheless, if you are working or living in such 3rd country or married to a citizen of such country then your application can be treated as normal without any hiding game.

In your former application, you filled in that you have dependants you want to go and visit while in your new application you claim you don't have relatives in the US for eligibility purpose.

Hello all,

A friend of mine wants to invite her mum to the usa for Tourist visa but she isn't sure of what she needs to know. She heard of a letter of invite. Are there samples of what needs to be written? Would she need to have a job in the usa or be a citizenship before she can invite someone in? I'll appreciate everyone's knowledge and input?
