Hi,
The interview was pretty okay as it had to do with a date mismatch on their system which I answered with documents to show the real thing.

Also asked how long I stayed in the us the last time I visited which was for birthing and I told her, she looked up with a smirk and I immediately told her I had my email correspondence with me to show that I sent an email explaining my situation and I was told I could use the visa for birthing then.

She then said hope u know it's not allowed anymore and I answered yes and I was like I know if I have to use it for Medical's I would have to reapply again for a fresh visa even if I have a valid visa which she said correct to, visa approved.

Not sure it's a big deal, it would just be questions bout ur birth n all

Kindly assist, my appointment was scheduled for March 4, we got to the embassy and were told they have system downtime, they will reschedule us, and we will get an email to that effect. It's been 24 hours, and there has been no e-mail or anything. I created a ticket, only to be replied :

"We understand that you are asking for an update concerning the cancelled appointments of March 4. You were at the embassy but you were told all appointments for the day has been cancelled. Your appointment will be marked as no show and will be able to reschedule or will be rescheduled automatically by the Embassy. Thank you. We hope this information is helpful. I think this response is not straightforward, I cannot even reschedule my appointment anymore, so do I wait indefinitely for the embassy to reschedule me?

This happened to my dad too on the March 4th? And he hadn’t got an email to reschedule nor can he reschedule from his . He has opened a ticket and they just replied saying to wait to be marked no show by the embassy so he can reschedule or wait to be automatically rescheduled.

Wondering if you have gotten any response from them?

Hello everyone. I have a question about my visa interview in about 3months time. I filled my DS160 form around March last year and my intended travel date was August 2024 for tourism and sightseeing, however when I made payment for the visa fee and tried to book an appointment date, the earliest I could get was June 2025. My question is do I have to fill a new DS160 form since the intended travel date has ed. If yes, how do I it such that the DS160 application number tallies with what is on my appointment confirmation letter?

NB; I have been successfully migrated to the AVITS platform

Please I need guidance on what to do. Can anyone with credible info assist?

If the intended date of your traveling has ed, then you will need to raise a ticket on the Avit site, then Fill a new DS 160 and the confirmation page on the Avit. Meanwhile the only thing you need to is to change to the new date of traveling which is June 2025. All the best in your search.

raise a ticket on avits
attach the new ds 160 form to the ticket....they will effect the swap from the back end

Good morning, pls Which email address do I write an enquiry to for my son's port that hasn't been returned from the embassy though he needs to do biometrics, don't know why it's been held as the sister's own was returned with instructions for same biometrics, would he be allowed into the embassy without his port for the biometrics, pls any idea.

If its only the infant, there most likely wont be an interview. They'll just collect the port and documents from you.

Since it’s the appointment letter and it’s tomorrow , let her just go for the interview with hope that it won’t be an issue. She also shouldn’t bring it up herself when she gets there except she is asked, they might just overlook it. So far her port and DS160 form has the right information.
