Yes there is kidnapping going on in most parts of Nigeria now but it is on record that the rate of kidnap in the south east has gone off the charts!

Where else in Nigeria do ordinary people who came home for Christmas go about with armed police escorts? The only place it happens in the whole country is the south east.

Go to the border towns between Anambra and Imo state and see what is happening there; some of the indigenes and villagers have been forced to go on exile like refugees because their home town has been overrun by criminal gangs using IPOB to deceive themselves.

They organise kidnap for ransom at will and commit all sorts of crimes, before you can conduct a burial in those villages you must pay an illegal extortion fee to them.
