I got to the consulate pretty early, around 6. Paulinius hadn’t started his shenanigans (He made a lady cry though). I went through the gate and was answered to first because I had printed out the checklist from the website, so everyone pretty much used my checklist. The arrangement was the original and one photocopy, you arrange the originals and the photocopies separately according to the checklist of the diplo site.
I think the person that conducted my interview was a newbie, she was laughing and smiling all through, a young lady.
She asked
1. Date of resumption
2. Uni and course
3. How I got ission to the course, because I was coming in from another field and the course is extremely competitive.
4. Definition of my course
5. Why did I pick
Then all to my surprise, I was given an intensive written test, printed out, theory and German. Basic IT questions like the function of an operating system, different types of computer networks and also math questions. The whole interview took almost 1 hour 30 mins.
The lady was extremely friendly which helped a lot. She told me the processing was going to take about 10-15 working days.
Please which program are you going for? This test wey i hear now

Definitely bro, you are not far from the truth. My job might not allowed me much, but I will definitely learn new skills within the next 6months.

Thanks for all you do here, i really appreciate you alot, sorry for asking too much questions you know you have to submit the correct documents when dealing with visa, 2) pls that CV did you meant when going for job interviews in or the embassy interview here in Nigeria? As a skilled worker applicant, do i still have to prove my work experiences or it only applicable to unskilled workers applicant?
Hannania:
1. Search for degrees in Nigeria. If you can see yours, then no need for anabin. For example, B.sc in Sociology should be on anabin under degree search
2. It's part of the checklist if you're going for interviews
3. It has to be a job in your field, unless you're applying as a tech professional
4. You have to show proof of your marriage definitely. She must apply and have A1 German, and also meet the requirements for OC. BA covers one person, so you need two or two SL.

Hey guys, please I'm curious
After all the submission, interview and approval mail, do they send your port stamped with the visa along with your documents using the prepaid courier envelope or they just send your original documents and you will wait for a mail from the consulate to come and collect your port on a certain date?

The CV is asked for at the German consulate. You need your Degree and SL/BA to get the Opportunity Card as a skilled worker. The details and proof is mostly for "unskilled" individual. That's if you have HND or vocational training

thanks so much, finally understood degree title on anabin ,I've seen my degree title so I think it will work for me even if i didn't see my course, i read it's not showing because nobody has asked for evaluation of the course in the past. 2) do you mean interviews while seeking jobs in ? 3) while writing cv do i need to include reference? i have a tech skill UI/UX Design, can i also include that in my CV even thou its not related to my BSC. 4) As a skilled applicant do i also need to submit proof of work experience? like payslips,e.t.c or they only ask of CV
Your degree and course has to be on anabin. If no one has requested for it before, you need to do ZAB. iIt cost 208 euros and last 3 months to get a .
I don't understand your second question.
When they review your documents, they'll present you with a checklist from the portal. Its unique to every individual. If they need it, they'll add it on the checklist

If they ask you to drop your port on the interview date, you'll get it with the other documents via a courier. If you're asked to leave with it, you'll get your originals when they send you an email to send health insurance and your port

Hello boss,
Thanks for all you do here. So in a situation where the institution is listed as H+ on Anabin but the specific degree isn't available on the platform, that can't fly for Opportunity Card application, right?
Hannania:
There are two categories:
1. Skilled worker: If your degree is H+ on Anabin, and your degree is also on Anabin, all you need is your block of 13092 euros of SL, and you'll get your Visa. No need for a language test. If it's not, you need to do ZAB. It cost 208 euros and takes 3 months
2. Unskilled workers: These are people whose Universities are not H+, their degree course is not certified, or have HND or vocational training. If you fall here, you need the language certificate of IELTS B1 or A1 German. You also need to get six points from the point system.

I’m hoping so too
Because waiting one year won’t even cut it…but since the guy that recently got visa applied In January, we can try to be hopeful…let four full weeks before we conclude that there might really be a delay…
And if there’s a delay, I heard you can convert an opportunity card visa into student visa…so we’ll see how it goes…

in my own opinion i think we should and if they need us to do ZAB they will let us know before they send a link for appointment because some degree might be equivalent and still won't show or the degree name is different in but its same because mine is Human kinetics, i saw Health Education on Anabin, in all universities in Nigeria Human Kinetics and Health Education is same, we do most courses together and since i saw Health Education is equivalent i know Human Kinetics will also be equivalent, i saw Bachelor of Science in Education on Anabin, that is my degree title the only thing missing is Human kinetics, i do not want to pay 208 euros and still wait for 3 months and later found out i was eligible hmmnn @Hannania

I went through this stress also from Fintiba even as my blocked was fully funded from .
Had to reschedule my interview because of them.
But after the re, the confirmation dropped in 1 day.
jawslyon:
My transfer was from Nigeria but didn't take long to reach them 24hrs for transfer and for verification of funds, the overall process plus rejection of the first source of funds document and the resubmission and the acceptance barely took 2 days.
I understand why they want to confirm and do thorough checks. We are sending high amounts of money from a high risk place where money laundering and such is prominent. Even if we are sending it from , how did we get such amounts of money?
I understand that the process can be frustrating and anxiety inducing especially when your date is getting closer and closer but it is needed for due diligence. Even when doing Transfers from any bank in Nigeria, they ask for source of funds. They don't flag it cause they have your history and details to on their end.
For the others reading and are not sure which blocked provider to use, just make sure to remain calm, do your research well, plan for any setbacks so as to avoid being blindsided and reach out to the people on this platform for more information if you're still not sure. They have been really helpful for me trying to understand the whole visa process.

If you search under degree search and it's listed under Nigeria, it can fly. Else, you do ZAB

The problem is applying and they ask for it, then you have to wait 3 months to get the certificate of comparability. They'll give you a deadline after reviewing. If you're not eligible, they'll delete your application. If you have your SL or BA, sure, go ahead and apply

Please I need your advice, I am really confused here.
I applied for student visa August 2023 but I do not have ission yet although I am expecting ission from a particular university which I don’t know if it would be positive or not.
I am qualified for the opportunity card,I don’t know if I should apply for the opportunity card now that’s it’s not competitive or I should wait for the ission.
