Congratulations
When did you apply and what did you apply for🙏🏼
Interview was on the 10th of February, student visa
Seyitej: 7:33pm On Feb 18
Chriswazo:

Why? Have u received new date?
Yes, in fact I got rescheduled twice.

I mentioned to the embassy that I needed new AL, so I got 4th of March initially.

They now rescheduled me on their own to the 1st of July, I think because I mentioned it will be winter ission

Is your course starting in summer semester?
Also, was it through the consular portal or the old appointment website?

thanks so much, finally understood degree title on anabin ,I've seen my degree title so I think it will work for me even if i didn't see my course, i read it's not showing because nobody has asked for evaluation of the course in the past. 2) do you mean interviews while seeking jobs in ? 3) while writing cv do i need to include reference? i have a tech skill UI/UX Design, can i also include that in my CV even thou its not related to my BSC. 4) As a skilled applicant do i also need to submit proof of work experience? like payslips,e.t.c or they only ask of CV
Hannania:
1. Search for degrees in Nigeria. If you can see yours, then no need for anabin. For example, B.sc in Sociology should be on anabin under degree search

2. It's part of the checklist if you're going for interviews

3. It has to be a job in your field, unless you're applying as a tech professional

4. You have to show proof of your marriage definitely. She must apply and have A1 German, and also meet the requirements for OC. BA covers one person, so you need two or two SL.

Lols what a relieve. Thanks for your honest reponse. You've been very helpful.

[quote author=Hannania post=134195220]Lol, it's baseless. The embassy will never grant preference no matter who sends the email. They don't even respond to such requests. So chill, no issues

Could you share your journey process here for others to learn from, especially the events at the embassy and questions asked.

I also had that problem but I was able to provide source of funds by combining the person's employment contract, work certificate and statement highlighting all the funds that came in to make up the amount all in one pdf. Hope this helps.

How long did this verification process took for you?

Mehn aswear Fintiba is mad. For people planning on using them, factor in their delays in the name of verification fund.

I don't know why money sent from to them would need verification, domestic transfer.

Wish I knew this before going to them, rubbish

My transfer was from Nigeria but didn't take long to reach them 24hrs for transfer and for verification of funds, the overall process plus rejection of the first source of funds document and the resubmission and the acceptance barely took 2 days.

I understand why they want to confirm and do thorough checks. We are sending high amounts of money from a high risk place where money laundering and such is prominent. Even if we are sending it from , how did we get such amounts of money?

I understand that the process can be frustrating and anxiety inducing especially when your date is getting closer and closer but it is needed for due diligence. Even when doing Transfers from any bank in Nigeria, they ask for source of funds. They don't flag it cause they have your history and details to on their end.

For the others reading and are not sure which blocked provider to use, just make sure to remain calm, do your research well, plan for any setbacks so as to avoid being blindsided and reach out to the people on this platform for more information if you're still not sure. They have been really helpful for me trying to understand the whole visa process.

The boldened no apply. Just overdraft of 6k and credit card of 6k is over the required blocking amount.

If u say from Nigeria, I understand 20million is a big money

I just got this email from the consulate

“Dear Sir,

With regard to your visa application, we kindly request that you submit the following documents to the Consulate.

Proof of incoming insurance that covers your stay in for 180 days or statutory health insurance or private health insurance.

Please also indicate your intended travel dates in writing, keeping in mind that your departure should be scheduled no sooner than 10 days after the date you send us the documents.

Do not buy your ticket until you receive your port with visa in it!

You may either forward them via courier service or drop them directly at the gate of the Consulate.

A print out of this mail is necessary in any case

We appreciate your prompt attention to this request.

Kind Regards”

Congrats. Could you kindly share how your interview went.

I got to the consulate pretty early, around 6. Paulinius hadn’t started his shenanigans (He made a lady cry though). I went through the gate and was answered to first because I had printed out the checklist from the website, so everyone pretty much used my checklist. The arrangement was the original and one photocopy, you arrange the originals and the photocopies separately according to the checklist of the diplo site.

I think the person that conducted my interview was a newbie, she was laughing and smiling all through, a young lady.

She asked
1. Date of resumption
2. Uni and course
3. How I got ission to the course, because I was coming in from another field and the course is extremely competitive.
4. Definition of my course
5. Why did I pick

Then all to my surprise, I was given an intensive written test, printed out, theory and German. Basic IT questions like the function of an operating system, different types of computer networks and also math questions. The whole interview took almost 1 hour 30 mins.

The lady was extremely friendly which helped a lot. She told me the processing was going to take about 10-15 working days.

I meant the “German” as the fill in the gap type of questions not the German language
