25cm apart...1 seed per hole.... I have manually threshed 26 bags and we are still threshing.

Thanks, that is 2.6 tons so far, Nice. I will likely consider your variety type.

I think some people offer the service, they will bring the machine to your farm and get the job done. Pls, share your preservation methods.

yeah true... But in my place, the only machine u can see for lease is rice thresher....

For storage, sun dry it very well to reduce the moisture content then put phostoxin tablet at 5 tablets per sack.

Tie the tablet in a piece of clothe before inserting.

Anytime u start seeing weevil on the sack, the tablet have expired.

Just about to put that to test this week. But I noticed after using heavy concentration of DD force multiple times, Maize is resilient. This taught me that Maize could witstand a lot. I applied so much peesticides after fall army worm almost ruined 95% of my labour

Better use punch or caterpillarforce for armyworm. And spray in the evening

After pre planting herbicide Operation, we monitored the water retaining capacity of the land after a heavy downpour. This is important as it help the farmer to know how to prepare the land. From the picture attached, u will notice waterlogging, this made us to opt for local ridge making.

Ridges is important in maize farming because it help to prevent waterlogging, better anchorage and good rooting system.

Would you have planted after this stage of using pre planting herbicide if the issue of water permeability, waterlogged ain't come and also eliminate both ridges and the second pre emergence herbicide you applied ( the 2nd herbicide was the Atrazine you applied after planting)? Thanks

Yeah, if they was no issues, I would had still used ridges because apart from waterlogging, it help in proper root anchorage.

I would have still applied atrazine because it help to hold weed seed
