I think we need tech savvy farmers more than youth farmers. To encourage youths, kits for all year farming should be made available to a wide range of farmers and youths. Irrigation kits, hydroponics kit, drone spraying systems, sprinklers, canopy sheet, nets and its structure.

Drone spraying of crops is definitely the way of the future

Why is your head looking up north?

The same north you hate?

What about your own state in the south?

Are there no forests there?

Why can't your state govt clear the forest and buy tractors and bring in professionals?

You leave all the forest on your land to be talking about Sambisa forest.

The thing you are looking for in Sokoto is in your Shokoto.

You allow your state governors to LOOT, LOOT, LOOT, and you turn a blind eye, because they are from your 'tribe'.

Everything must be FG. Meanwhile 65% of the budget goes to the states!!!

GO TO YOUR STATES AND TELL YOUR GOVERNORS TO STOP STEALING, AND WORK!

FG CANNOT DO EVERYTHING!!!

I don't control the Efcc

Tinubu does

please tell him to allow Efcc nvade these states and do their job for once
chasing after yahoo boys is not their primary function

The governors thieves, look at yahaya bello chilling at home instead of being behind bars

Tinubu is an epitome of corruption

He is saying the truth!!

If it was gold or diamonds, or even OIL, that was situated around your village, will 'insecurity' stop you from storming the place to get your share?

He made a valid point!

The only thing you emergency lovers of Nigeria see as truth is anything that is against the growth of Nigeria.

The number one rule that ANY farmer in Nigeria must understand is that ALL their cultivated crops belong ultimately to the Fulani cows. These cows will patiently wait for crops to ripen on the farm before showing up at night in their hundreds to claim the free food that the farmer-slave has generously planted for them alone to consume free of charge.

All Nigerians are created equal BUT the the Fulani cows are of course more equal than all other citizens of Nigeria. Provided that Nigerian farmers to display proper respect and decorum to the cows, by calling them "sir" when greeting them during their visits to consume all the farm's harvest for free, those farmers will not qualify to be butchered into tiny meat chunks with the Fulani cattle herdsmen's sharp cutlasses.

God bless the Futa Djallon Highlands, which is where the Fulani cows and their cowboy assistants originate.

You are wrong. It's not an either/or issue.

To achieve large-scale industrial farming, we need to do many things, and we are gradually doing it.

Here's a quick AI rundown of what's needed:

- Infrastructure Investment: Build roads, irrigation systems, and storage facilities.

- Policy Reform: Simplify land acquisition processes and create consistent agricultural policies.

- Access to Financing: Expand credit options through agricultural banks or cooperatives.

- Mechanization Drive: Subsidize machinery and promote local manufacturing of equipment.

- Climate Adaptation: Encourage sustainable farming practices and introduce climate-resilient crops.

- Education and Training: Provide agricultural training programs, especially for youth.

- Value Chain : Foster agro-industries to improve processing, packaging, and market access.

Chief,

I am right. small scale farmer cannot deal with the shocks and impact of economic instability, insecurity and climate change. Industrail scale farming has some of the items that you outline in your aI list.

- Infrastructure Investment: Build roads, irrigation systems, and storage facilities.
Nigeria has roads and rail; they must be repaired and maintained instead of building new roads like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
Nigeria's irrigation dams and systems have been neglected due to poor maintenance, mismanagement, and policy discontinuity. This has led to floods, environmental damage, and food insecurity.

- Policy Reform: Simplify land acquisition processes and create consistent agricultural policies. The policies are in place the problem is Implementation and management.

- Access to Financing: Expand credit options through agricultural banks or cooperatives. Finance is available, but the corrupt civil servants always mismanage and steal the funds

- Mechanization Drive: Subsidize machinery and promote local equipment manufacturing. Nigeria has non-working steal plants, Aluminium plants and chemical plants

- Climate Adaptation: Encourage sustainable farming practices and introduce climate-resilient crops. We require large-scale farming that integrates R& D, fertiliser, and mechanization. Small-scale farming cannot feed 240 million people.

We are suffering from food shortage because the small scale farmers are now in IDP camps yet Dangote Farm, Olam are still operating.

Emergency lovers of Nigeria with very low IQ, you think everyone is a propagandist like you.
Show me where you have consistently proved yourself to be lover of Nigeria in the past 20 years because all I see about you is complaint and lamentations. Now, you have golden opportunity to work in the farm after jobless graduation, but you still rolled up complaint, why?

Same way you complained, lamented, protested and hated Nigeria under GEJ, but suddenly everything has become Uhuru because you're ready to drink poison as long as it's served with your tribal cup.
