Very good development.

Absolutely fantastic.

Oya, youths that have been complaining all this while, over to you.

Stupid and desperate development.

Only large-scale industrial farming can mitigate the impact of insecurity, climate change and fluctuating Naira

All these retrogressive ideas just to punder to the public will not get us anywhere

Less than 3% of Americans are farmers, because they practice commercial and mechanized agriculture

this is 2025, Go to Sambisa forest , area like that of whole South East, level it, bring in tractors and professionals, we'll be supplying food to west Africa.

Why is your head looking up north?

The same north you hate?

What about your own state in the south?

Are there no forests there?

Why can't your state govt clear the forest and buy tractors and bring in professionals?

You leave all the forest on your land to be talking about Sambisa forest.

The thing you are looking for in Sokoto is in your Shokoto.

You allow your state governors to LOOT, LOOT, LOOT, and you turn a blind eye, because they are from your 'tribe'.

Everything must be FG. Meanwhile 65% of the budget goes to the states!!!

GO TO YOUR STATES AND TELL YOUR GOVERNORS TO STOP STEALING, AND WORK!

FG CANNOT DO EVERYTHING!!!

STATE POLICE IS COMING THIS YEAR.

Be patient.

Once the states have their own police, insecurity will be HISTORY in Nigeria.

Are you serious? Is this just wishful thinking about state police coming up as a replacement for the current Sharia police who are loyal to fundamentalist top brass that are ALL from Nigeria's Muslim north?

You are wrong. It's not an either/or issue.

To achieve large-scale industrial farming, we need to do many things, and we are gradually doing it.

Here's a quick AI rundown of what's needed:

- Infrastructure Investment: Build roads, irrigation systems, and storage facilities.

- Policy Reform: Simplify land acquisition processes and create consistent agricultural policies.

- Access to Financing: Expand credit options through agricultural banks or cooperatives.

- Mechanization Drive: Subsidize machinery and promote local manufacturing of equipment.

- Climate Adaptation: Encourage sustainable farming practices and introduce climate-resilient crops.

- Education and Training: Provide agricultural training programs, especially for youth.

- Value Chain : Foster agro-industries to improve processing, packaging, and market access.

Good initiative BUT, I fear nothing will come out of it.
When the 'Nigeria factors' start setting in, mmmm, I'm not been pessimistic, it could just be another avenue to make very, very few at the corridor of power millionaires overnight, with the original objective flatly defeated.
What happens to
Farmers borrower anchor scheme, Trader monie, etc, etc.

Just give it a trial there is no harm in trying since it will only cost you less than 4MB to .

MUMU. Where did all the food you have been eating into your fat belly come from?

After all there is ''high level of insecurity'' in your mumu head.

So all the food in your fat belly came from where? Japan?

Enemy of progress.

Sorry, i forgot they pay weekly levy to bandits/terrorists/kidnappers as well as ransoms to go to farm.

Low IQ rabble-ro.

What is this one saying?

ARE YOU FROM THE NORTH?

NO.

You are a southerner.

TALK ABOUT YOUR OWN STATE!!!!

The northern states will sort themselves out how they see fit.

Every state has autonomy.

With your state police guaranteeing security soon, YOUR STATE will have the capacity to do everything you are expecting the NORTH to do for you, in of agriculture.

Leave the north alone and FACE YOUR LANE.

The same land they have, YOU have.

Nairaland bandits, well-done!! Always shooting sporadically

Typical idiotic statement from a soulless reprobate.

Tinubu's government has done another great thing for the country that will empower Nigerian youths, but your little satanic mind finds a way to twist it into another insult of the man.

Idiotic, worthless thing.

He is saying the truth!!

If it was gold or diamonds, or even OIL, that was situated around your village, will 'insecurity' stop you from storming the place to get your share?

He made a valid point!

The best way to farming is to invest in yourself. Use that small space behind your yard to start. Don't let any land lie idle this year. You can even start with flower pots if you live in a public compound. My kids planted corns and yam in my flower pots last year and surprisingly they harvested something out of them. If tilumbu sapa regime no reinvigorate your logical reasoning then you are one of the people he gives peanuts monthly to spend nights on NL hyping him.

do you have space behind your yard?

have you used it to start farming?

how many unemployed people have yards talk less of spaces behind the yard?

You are obviously cursed and destined to be an hopless fool that's why you think Apc has any business with working for Nigeria. The only reason T-pain and his evil Apc disaster gathered and ed forces is to snatch and grab power from pdp, keeping it at all cost is all that matters now no plans anywhere to solve the problems that bedevels the Country an eternally accursed zombie like you can zombie to your grave but the REALITY remains that T-pain and his evil Apc are nothing but a curse on the Country.

Tpain is a total failure a complete disaster even if you take him to Switzerland he will still fail Wotowotoporiously 😁 grin
You go zombie to the grave 😁 grin grin

D only way to tackle food security is by stopping Fulani herdsmen from kidnapping n killing of farmers.....if FG can't curtail those monsters, they are on dia own

Anyway God bless d south east, d south south and d middle belt

This is all about the money ...the financial assistance .... looting under the guise of youth development. Tomorrow we hear how many billions was spent on youth agriculture initiative....but no one knows anyone that received financial assistance .

I think we need tech savvy farmers more than youth farmers. To encourage youths, kits for all year farming should be made available to a wide range of farmers and youths. Irrigation kits, hydroponics kit, drone spraying systems, sprinklers, canopy sheet, nets and its structure.
