Highland job in lagos want to pay 100k. And me I'm looking to higher a sales rep in Ekiti far far, with payment as 40k... sales rep that requires no experience or whatsoever.

The fun fact is, as it is a vacancy for an attendant, many won't apply, bcus it's not a big mall or supermarket. And those big mall or supermarket won't even pay workers at most 30k. With extreme wrk and supervision....
How would they apply?

I need to add that nothing comes easy. The easiest way to get stuck/stagnated as an ant is to work with an organisation without structure which 98% of schools in Nigeria falls under as they are mostly one man/woman business.

Even if you don't get retained in the Multinational, that experience is enough for you to get into another multinational or a better company compared to a school.

As for the workload, I don't think there is any organisation without its distinctive workload if .ozm
you really want to work. One thing that can work for you in the multinational is that you will always be exposed to .productivity. So I wilzzzzzzzz. Z

,
. tools tL. make your work easier. With time, the workload won't cumbersome as it used to be. You just need to edit a previous powerpoint, plug in new numbers to an existing financial model, Use gemini or other AI tools to gather your thoughts and use your own words to make it your own intellectual property.

Reject it. A job that doesn't pay much and leaves no time to do other meaningful things isn't a job.

While rejecting it, state the minimum amount you can accept the offer for and give reasons.
If you reject it with good reasons, they might add at least N30k more.

It's not a do or die. And stop the slave mentality. We agreed on 200, now the letter carries 100k, dos this not beg for answers?

The best way to go about it is to call thEe HR and ask them.

i know it’s a fake post, but if you voted emilokan, better take the job because it was what you signed for.

If you didn’t vote them, a better job is coming your way in 2025.

Happy new year in advance 😁

I feel like you should reject that offer... It will frustrate you

Considering that the current job is ending, he can experiment for like 3months thereafter discuss his inconvenience with his/her employer as means for a raise. While engaged, he can look out for potential offers on mainland and island for a more shaped decision.

Tell them you're not okay with their offer, therefore you are turning it down politely. If they can afford it, they will call you, I believe it's a test.

I rejected a Coca Cola Ikeja branch offer, citing the low salary as reason, them come back with a revised offer,I still rejected it bc it was also a junior staff position.

Mind u,I was gainfully employed and the difference was not noticeable, that's why I rejected it,So tell them politely that you will want to work for them, but that the financial side is not what u agreed with them.

I work on the Island (V.I).

100k is a far cry.And once you get home, you are practically useless to yourself. And work full time 8e crazy.

If you have other options, reject the offer.

If not, you have to be sleeping at security post and come back on weekends.

Super:
Here is an AI response for you
It’s commendable that you’re thinking critically about this situation. Here’s an analysis and advice to guide your decision:

---

1. Evaluate the Offer Logically

From your explanation, the new job doesn’t seem financially sustainable.

Transport and Feeding: ₦1,700 daily for transport and ₦1,000 for feeding equals about ₦2,700/day. With a 22-working-day month, that’s ₦59,400 for transport and ₦22,000 for feeding—₦81,400 total.

Savings: ₦110,000 - ₦81,400 leaves just about ₦28,600, which doesn’t cover rent, utilities, or ICAN costs.
If the numbers don’t add up, accepting the job will likely strain you further.

---

2. Compare Current and New Jobs

Current Job: Hybrid work arrangement, similar pay but lower expenses due to fewer commuting days.

New Job: Office-based, higher daily costs, less flexibility, and the pay doesn’t align with your interview discussion.

Your current job seems more favorable, even if it’s temporary, as it allows you to save and manage other responsibilities.

---

3. ICAN and Long-Term Goals

Your goal to transition into auditing and complete ICAN is valid. A low-paying, full-time role may hinder this. Instead, you might consider:

Internships/Trainee Roles in Auditing Firms: While they may not pay much initially, they align with your goals and can boost your career in auditing.

Part-Time Roles: Look for roles with flexible hours to allow you to focus on ICAN and applications.

Certifications: Completing ICAN will make you more competitive for auditing roles. Prioritize roles that give you the flexibility to study.

---

4. Polite Rejection Letter

If you decide to reject the offer, do so professionally. Example:

> Dear [Hiring Manager's Name],
Thank you for offering me the position at [Company Name]. I appreciate the time and effort invested in considering my application.
After careful consideration, I have decided to decline the offer as the financial do not align with my current needs and responsibilities.
I am grateful for the opportunity to interview with your organization and hope we can connect again in the future under different circumstances.
Wishing you and your team continued success.
Best regards,
[Your Name]

---

5. Suggestions for Moving Forward

Network: Reach out to professionals in auditing on LinkedIn or ICAN forums. Express your interest in auditing trainee roles.

Apply Strategically: Focus on entry-level roles in auditing or finance that align with your career goals, even if they’re internships.

Freelance/Part-Time Work: To yourself, consider freelancing or part-time jobs in finance while you pursue ICAN and audit opportunities.

---

Final Thoughts

Rejecting the offer seems like the right decision as it’s unsustainable financially and doesn’t align with your career goals. Continue applying for roles that offer a pathway into auditing while completing your ICAN program. Patience and perseverance will pay off.

Technically, you don't have a job currently.

Take the new job, use it to build your CV and continue your job search.

Best of luck in 2025

I think you should politely explain your dilemma to them as reason why you find it difficult to accept the offer. They just might be considerate and shift ground. I like the fact that you know what you want and you are working towards it. Keep it up & best wishes.

As God would have it, I came here for my NYSC since 2021, finished mid 2022. Started teaching and hoping to get a job soon. Got scammed of 350k I saved from teaching. It wasn't easy as bonny is really so so so expensive. A single room with just a toilet for the whole compound goes for as high as 160k and selfcon as high at 400 to 450k. As God would always have it, I just got a contract job of 300k monthly with money for weekly feeding, money for monthly medical, coastal bus for transportation and end ofñthe year bonus of 900k. Isn't God wonderful?

I tap into this
