Hydronium couldn't say it better, this is the future, not those huge batteries you can't discharge more than 50 percent and need hundreds of s to charge over many hours. People just think a large system filled with huge lead acid nonsense, inverters and charge controllers will last longer 😂, when they look at the unnecessary kilogrammes in a corner of their house they're like oh yeah that's what I got with a million naira 🫢
This is compact, better tech ( can't play with the BMS), very lightweight, and a lot more efficient than the traditional thing, it's the future.

grin grin Omo...you will be a good marketer...see as your mouth sweet...ever considered a career as a salesman (if you are not already). If I buy this thing and e no do, I go come hold your neck for AK. Omoluka

😂 no be lie, it is worth the money bro, experience is just too sweet for one to keep to oneself, do your calculations (your load) properly, so you know which of the models to go for.

My load is like 397 watts on regular use (let's say 400).

Please my 550W is averaging 250W under load. Have I not bought market bayii?

Chai, even now? What about one HR ago? My electrician checked mine with a multimeter yesterday at about 1:30pm and we got 265 watts (a 300 watts ), even now I am getting like the maximum solar input power the river 2 pro can handle.

Oh well, mine is almost always not too far from 200 watts (about 55 if my refrigerator auto shuts off). The river 2 pro will work for you if you are not looking beyond 2 hours after sundown. You'll need something of higher WH if you will still run the same load at night for more than 2hrs. Check the Ecoflow store on JUMIA to see which one will suit you best.

honest truth, we're just a minority who sees the future. In the city where I stay for instance, the crop of people who know about power stations or even LiFePo battery technology is less than 5% (I'm being modest). Most people are keen on how to buy the next tubular battery (feels like you're getting more for your money due to its size).

Also, Nigerians are used to and more comfortable buying and setting up individual units of their system (battery, charge controller, solar etc). They feel that's the only way it'd work well; anything in a compact form is bound to fail, crack under load etc. It's like choosing to buy and couple the different part of an analog landline when someone is handing you a sleek S24 ultra...

I've been craving a power station since the beginning of this year. And been saving for it, through naira increase, inflation etc.
Even Jumia ran a promo earlier this year which I missed. But I'm glad to finally have it. It's doing a superb job. I have zero regrets.

from 4 pm - 10 pm. I may switch off my freezer since sun power working from 9 till even is okay for the day. But let me stick to 4 pm when the sun goes down to 10 pm.

This is what I do, run my refrigerator from morning until sundown (6pm), I'm left with 100 percent, have the TV on until maybe 11pm, left with about 70 percent after that, then i program the power station to run the whole house for two hours (whole house but only the refrigerator and 11 watts dc fan are on) and shut off, in the morning, I wake up to see like 35+ percent left, then i repeat.
You won't need to run your refrigerator 24hrs a day, it will not run for 24hrs a day even if you have the refrigerator connected (defrost cycles etc). With your refrigerator out during night time you can go for the river 2 pro or Delta 2, what's your refrigerator power draw? Is it an inverter type?

I am thinking of getting Jinko 615 watts ...(advise)

Also, the freezer is 110 watts (200 Litres)—40% energy saving.

Does the freezer make your generator cough when it starts? If it is the type that starts the compressor gradually and not just kick it once, then you're good.
The only difference between river 2 pro and delta 2 is the inverter (total output ed) and the extra WH (about 232wh), your total load with the refrigerator is 400watts, you won't be needing the extra output power of the delta 2, the river 2 pro is rated 800 watts, it is said that inverters are more efficient when at least half of their capacity is put to use (50 percent load).
About the , I can't say nothing about jinko brand, just make sure it was tested at the seller's store and results are satisfactory, also results under load can be different but "no load" is also like a hint, delta 2 can take input volts of up to 60, if the jinko 615 is less than 60v ( give ten percent = 54) then it is okay, you can do your own research.

I, too, want something compact. I asked and was skeptical because of the bolded...that's why I am still holding back on exploring the power station option. I think my first experience with it was sighting it with these welders. I know they connect it to something like a box they can move around sha. But my mind no too dey there then that it was a power station.

Thanks for replying.

With 5 years warranty on Ecoflow and Bluetti, you can't go wrong, and I'm a living testimony to that. My Bluetti AC 200max developed a 'short circuit' fault. I ed them via email, Bluetti came to my house, took it to their office and returned it in perfect condition after 2 weeks. I didn't pay a kobo for this service, and it's been like 2 years of top quality performance.

I agree with you, I see your reasons, you're close to him you say, so no issues. If your appliances are so light, then no problems, you say fan and I'm assuming maybe led tv, lights and recharging phone. You don't really need something too serious, you need for the night so.
I got the river 2 pro to power my 100 watts double door inverter fridge (draws about 80 watts after a while) that i never turn off, 450 watts blender and 310 watts washing machine when I need them. What constantly runs on my river 2 pro are the refrigerator, DC fan (draws 11 watts at max speed), Few hours of TV (43 inches draws 28 watts) and amazon firestick (draws 2 watts), and laptop (ocassionally) my total load is almost always a little less than 200 watts.
My point is, your total load should not even be up to 100 watts, you have a DC fan, TV, a streaming stick/DStv, energy saving bulbs, this guy's power station should work great for you, all the appliances you mentioned don't get affected by modified sine wave power, you may not need what Ecoflow offers.
Can't you buy Third party solar s? if you do buy his power station, let us know how it serves you, I love homemade things.

Today makes it 4 days after I bought it and guess what? All I can say is that Nigeria does not deserve that guy. I went for the 512Wh system that came with 180W Africell , charge controller, and a 1000W inverter.

I did my initial load test and discovered 300Wh out of 358.4Wh power consumption while assuming the 13.2V battery level was 70% of the battery full charge (around 14-14.6V). At the end I concluded on 84% efficiency from the system .

But trust me, I wasn’t satisfied with my first experiment. Coupled with my curiosity , I went ahead to conduct another testing on a full charge of the system with my laptop (45W) and a 15W bulb and then later on my laptop and a 10W Dc fan. This experiment, to my utmost surprise (I was just shouting Wow Wow and Wow 🤩) consumed a total load of 509Wh in 9hours! My laptop was literally running for a complete 9hours! I played games and did all the necessary things on my laptop and even left movies playing so as to not keep the laptop idle.

The shocking part was that I was still left with 12.6V battery level (Although I believed this won’t take too long for the system to go off at such battery Voltage) because I had to step out of the house after the 9hours.

Wow. Just Wow. The sad part of it is that many may not believe this kind of person to produce a great system like that, especially since he is a Nigerian. It all started with a search on google “Laptop power bank Nairaland”. I saw Elvistech initially, but I was reluctant when I saw inconsistencies in his battery capacities (Elvis tech in case you ever use Nairaland search for your name, take note of this pointer). Not until I stumbled upon a post on Nairaland where someone was advising some other guy to try the Josh guy. This post was created many years ago. This was where my research started. The most important reason I went ahead was the fact that this guy has been there even b4 the so-called popular Solar Generators or power stations came into the lime light. He was always here but not so many of us knew. He had a solution but we didn’t believe or rather ignored because it was not branded the American or Chinese way. I feel sad in some ways because this could have been the guy we’d all be discussing. But such is life, the environment is not where he is supposed to be.

The cons of the system is that the battery voltage once full tends to float and goes back to 13.5V and somehow difficult to tell if it’s fully charged or not, but he said it’s fully charged at that point. If only he could use percentage voltmeter or something that makes it easier to monitor the battery percentage. Then the issue of connecting the polarity when charging (which I later figured out anyways). Also the max I get from the Solar is around 80W +or-5w (the Solar is so low in efficiency)

Overall, I will score him 99/100, I believe he can still do better.

First of all, I'm shocked the AFRICELL you got had that very low max output, are you certain it's not the placement? Mine has been too good.
Our Josh guy is sure something, I took my time to check his products, what I see on that website is 'truth', almost everything is stated just as is , A pwm controller, modified sine wave inverter, that's enough info for anyone to decide to purchase.
It's a fair deal for those who do not mind the set up, and the modified sine wave electricity, I see some of the products even come with 10 meters 4mm cable, the guy don try, make e run better ads on our local channels, congratulations bro.

I am not a regular seller. I bought the power station on Jumia and then I bought an Airfryer that has a starting wattage of about 2900w which is far above the 1700w of Delta 2. I should have just bought the Delta 2 Max instead of the Delta 2. I have not even removed it from its carton or broken the seal of the carton it came with. So I decided I will just sell it at small loss. You can pay on Delivery if you are in Lagos or you can come to our Office in Berger to pick it up yourself

Yeah. The Africell could only give a max of 80Watts so far so good out of the 180Watts rating. Perhaps it’s the Controller that is responsible (I am not sure). Yes I got a 10meters 4mm cable and he even made a custom 19Volt port for me to use directly for my laptop instead of via inverter in case I want to save more power. I am really enjoying it as I have no worries about electricity anymore.

Today's peak was 270W. I'm reading somewhere that it could be that my delta 2 is reading the xt60 as car charger and is restricting current. Do you think that's a possibility?

Also am I to measure current or voltage?
