I watched your TikTok video I must say it was embarrassing its my opinion is for you to take it down. The customer is always the. Boss.I have personally bought roofing matters that includes all 5hks accessary you mentioned so I understand what you are saying about the time it takes. No my advice is 5his.this time you tool to post that video would have been better spent at gently and calmly explaining the process of the folding and bending of ridges and ridge caps. You had a BEST customer right there cos he paid in full upfront all U had to do was deliver. He paid smoothly but you did not deliver smooth .You sir are not a thief or scammer or a bad person but your customer service is lacking need to spend time to improve and upgrade.

Good day everyone, this is what transpired btw me and money121. After someone on nairaland (his brother) recommended me to him that he sells roofing sheets, I decided to give him a try, chatted this guy and sent him pictures of the type of roof I wanted, he gave me his price, and I told him I will back get back to him.. 3 days ago i texted him on WhatsApp and told him I will be coming on Wednesday which was yesterday, he said ok no problem. Yesterday morning which was Wednesday, I chatted him up for directions, he sent it.. got to the bus stop which he said me and my roofer should wait for him by 11:08am, I came to the bus stop and pick us and took us to the factory of his Oga (not his own) I didn’t mind. We sat there, discussed and and finalized the whole thing, I made payment (4.8m) by exactly 11:50am. After making that payment, this guy changed. He kept on lying to me that the driver that will come and carry my goods is coming that I should chill which I did. By 3:10pm I went inside to call him cos I was already angry and tired and needed to go home.. the tout started shouting at me and was asking me “which time did I made payment “? And even started insulting me. Just imagine! I got furious and the owner of the factory came out and was calming me down. The owner of the factory ( an igbo man) asked him, why will you be talking to a customer like that? He kept shouting and shouting till all his colleagues came out, that was when I knew that I fell into the wrong hand… imagine this guy (money121) telling my roofer that he shouldn’t count the roof tiles well and he (my roofer) should go and tell me it’s complete when it’s not.. I saw hell yesterday from the hands of this guy (money121) and yesterday is the last time I will do any business with any online vendor.

I keep calming him down but he think am lying
His roofer keep explaining that the ridge do take time to bend,

Rightly so, take for instance in this case, the ridges would have to be bent to specification ( size, quantity and other details ). Big companies do not want to take those risks and do not have that time.
In all, the customer is always right as long as they are acting within the bounds of the transaction.
Sellers should also know that customers are always apprehensive when dealing with a first time supplier, especially when they have made payment. Sellers should do their best to reassure customers until the goods are delivered.
Lets learn from the lawyers. As a professional, a lawyer would keep reassuring a criminal ( client) event until the criminal is sentenced. First they would say it’s not a strong case. After, the lawyer would say, don’t worry this case would be dismissed. Next he turns around and say, don’t worry we will challenge it in court. Then, he would come back to say don’t worry, the judge said you would only get 5 years imprisonment.

A company that imported stone coated roofing will not have time for a person who wants to buy 4.7m worth of roofing? We all k now that the vast majority of stone coated roofing comes is already cut to sizes and3 is a square metre in most cases, its a matter of counting. Big companies only refuse to sell to not ed middlemen when they have minimum quantity to sell as a unit or if they deal i n whole sale only. I have never heard of any importer who refuse to deal with clients directly probably yours will be the 1st.The problem or the issue here seems to be miscommunication, no monies were lost. However coming from a consumer point of view, I do not giving a client price when you are not supplying them directly or at least doing the Job. In my DIY build, this is what I come to realize that put some of you workmen into trouble within factors beyond your reach to control then you get labelled scammer.

Listen the way customer thinks is quite different rom the way you workman will think and reason. See, reputation is a currency on its own. The middle man over the years has built that reputation where he can say pay and anyone would pay, including you yourself.
No, don’t come to a public forum and begin to expose another person’s trade secret they have made privy to you in trust. You don’t do that.
If this wasn’t a legit business, you know what that means .
Do you know how many potential clients that action have diverted from the middle man to the company?

Middle men only exist where people do not have direct access to manufacturers or importers, but in the business of roofing that does not exist. This is the case for most businesses in Nigeria, If you do not know where things are sold you have to rely on middlemen but if you do you don't have to rely on a middle man. Once again I repeat those who got into trouble on Nairaland due to price and product variation are middle men.To supply is a diff ball game, U deliver to site and charge client. as in the case of sand and grinite mostly.
