A 2P14S connection is supposed to give us 28 cells in total. Your man has got 24 cells visible in there. Except some cells are hidden under the bar as assumed by someone here.

Someone should get to this battery pack before it causes mayhems.

Go with transformer based inverter.
If you are concerned about idle current, go with torrodial core transformer based inverters (it's mostly Chinese inverters that has the transformer in them)

It's obvious that cells were under the bar, that space cannot be empty, because all cells are welded.
Its to hold the cells from moving around.

Attached is one of the functions.
its a Voltage regulator, Current limiter, Grid Delay, volt and current meter, and shortcircut protection.

Lol, my setup isn't connected to grid at all. So no, I don't need a voltage regulator.

Just need breakers between inverter to battery, and inverter to AC output.

So the top connector (aluminium plate?) will show 1-2-3-4 cells and a then a break. Also, the edges of some cells can be seen peeking from underneath the bar. Therefore, it is safe to deduce some cells are there and likely to be 2 pairs to the left and right.

The harness wires should have been neatly arranged.

It not meant to be removed

I removed mine, cleaned it and fixed it back. If if I show you the dust that I removed from there, you won't believe.
There is nothing that's permanently fixed in electrical appliances. Bolts/nuts are provided for easily access.......

If your inverter is under warranty and you try removing it, you automatically tempered it or make the warranty void

Hybrid gives you an Inverter, Charger, and MPPT, cheaper than any standalone.

example with 250K. you can have
a 3kva inverter with 60A charger,
80A MPPT, go and price stand-alone equivalent.

Hybrid allows you to customize slightly when grid charge, how much grid charge, when Solarcharge, Only Solar charge during the day and Grid charge in the night, etc. with standalone, you need to have good know-how and other tools to achieve these.

I’ve just spoken to the Jos guy this morning and he said I should take the battery to someone on his team here in Lagos to help check it out. He has sent me the persons numer.
I Will be updating the group on the outcome. Thanks to everyone for their concern and advice.

UPDATE
I dropped off the battery with the guy the Jos guy sent me his number this morning at VGC and he said he will check the battery and let me know what needs to be fixed in it before the end of the day.
I will post more updates later
