Please for someone that paid deposit fee to a UK university using Form A through flywire corporation, if he wants a refund from the school, I know they will refund to flywire and flywire to the bank I used. Now, if they refund to flywire, what at rate will they refund it to the bank? the rate when it was paid or the current rate? Who has an idea? |
ChristineC: 10:19pm On Mar 05, 2024 |
ChiomaMC:you should get the current rate of course. I wouldn't hold my breathe though. 1 Like |

Good day, folks, This place has been gloomy and now I am reconsidering my options. Here is my dilemma: I have a remote contractor job that pays me $2000 per month and doesn't care about my location. I've been able to save up to $10,000. Do you think this is enough to sustain myself in the UK and pay my fees? |
hustla(m): 9:01am On Mar 06, 2024 |
tunechi28: Why not save a bit more, like 70% of your fees before moving Also, look at Portugal, US, Australia and Canada if you don't mind the cold. Much better options at the moment ![]() 2 Likes |

004gist:Brother, has your dependant look towards care job? Since she can work full time, she should be able to get care jobs around.. |
Welcomme: 2:02pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
Beress:Definitely, it is only a shared apartment you can get for that amount in London. You can't even get a studio or one bed for that price in London. 1 Like |

voucher: He should have asked for advise when he topped up. He must inform the school immediately. The school may issue another CAS then he will need to start the process all over again. He has wasted time and a lot of money. |
004gist: 2:40pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
Welcomme:We are searching currently but the issue is that they just need someone with 6 months experience. Some 3 months which she don't have. So we are trying to see if there is where she can do paid training but where they will employ her after the training. |
004gist: 2:45pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
hustla: Sorry to cut in. 10k pounds is like 90% fees in some cheep schools. Let him look for school with 12k fees or even 11k fees. Then he should save more for house rent and feeding - - - like 8k pounds. |

004gist: 6:16am On Mar 07, 2024 |
Prigozhin: Bro you aren't alone and it becomes worst if you still have fees to settle and your school is demanding everything to be paid immediately. Omo I no see depression weh that one. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When you land expectations meets reality then you will understand the slogan who no come no go know. Then those people telling you to come, giving you all the advice necessary. Immediately you land them no get your time again, even to borrow u money them go say them de owe school. And you will be like ![]() When you complain say u haven't seen job yet.. Him go say guy u never even reach two months u de complain ![]() . Then you will understand that Nigeria is actually a paradise but na our leader spoil this beautiful country. Is it our weather, our caring always asking our neighbours how them de. Etc. Infact if u pay yearly rent then your mind go calm. Las Las we go de alright... Keep applying. If u have cash do some certification course. I have seen people who stayed 5 months no job walahi. Me self stayed 3 good months plus no job. All this didn't start today... Way back January 2023 those that landed began to find it difficult getting jobs but it's not like it is now and they failed to this information back home as they felt they don't want anyone to shame them not forgetting that they might be saving more from jumping into the unknown. Thanks to funclub etc that sounded the alarm last year and we are now doing same to let our people know that e don choke no matter what any agent say... Let them think twice 2 Likes |

I think you people should be including locations where there are no jobs so we can know where to put head. I see people that will also say there's job and you can meet up, so I think it's like a two-way thing getting a job. Let's have more clarity here please. 1 Like |

ChiomaMC: Hmmmm. I believe this is a general UK thing. Few jobs are on ground and those competing for them are too much. Over the years UK have witnessed migration from different developing countries from Africa, Asia and Middle East. Most jobs in the UK now require UK work experience and if you are a student or just coming into the UK that's a big problem as you don't have the experience and your working hours is even limited as a student. And UK's economy now isn't smiling so I'd advise you to try another country. My 1 kobo that I can loan out. |
