I've spoken to two different lawyers and I'm not getting straight answers so I'm posting here if anyone has been through something like this.
I think my case should be simple.

- Married 2016 (court)
- Last saw each other physically mid 2018
- Last communicated early 2019
- No kids
- I realised between the time we last saw and last communicated she got pregnant for her "friend".
- They had another child since then (I got this info from Social Media)
- She doesn't live in Nigeria and isn't Nigerian
- I've emailed a couple of times (copied all her mails I have) but she hasn't responded (the last lawyer I spoke to said I have to mail or speak to her to get consent for a divorce)
- Phone doesn't go through
- I want to file the divorce so I don't have any legal ties or connection with her.
Please if anyone has gone through this or has an idea of the process and cost please let me know

I will advise you to get across to her through her relatives.
I think you can still proceed with the divorce since it's more than 2 years since you saw each other without her consent.

Don't sweat it out. You guys are no longer together and she has moved on. Court marriage is just some 'man made practice' that gives superiority to the court. Don't let it restrict you or give you sleepless nights.

I heard about the 2 year thing too when the whole thing started but it seems the lawyers I spoke to don't specialise in that subject.

It doesn't really bother me but she's..... somehow.
I don't want her waking to use it in a way I haven't thought about later.

2 years of separation is enough to divorce.

Very easy . Divorce her in absence. File paste it on her last known addresses . Wait no response court rules you guys have nothing to drag.
