Guys My port expires November 2025, can I apply for a renewal at this stage? Thanks.
No, you cannot apply for a renewal at this stage. In order for Nigeria Immigration Service to process your request for port renewal, your port must have six months validity.

I have ed for the port, made payment & booked anappointment, but there's no option to guarantor's form. Meanwhile it's 1 of the required documents for the scheduled appointment. I've tried every means to the form, no way.

Appointment is for biometric capture only. Document verification is now automated. If the system did not request for it, it means they don't require it anymore.

Yes, you can get a visa with 1 year valid left on your port. No, you will not experience hassle or be denied entry to any country as long as your port is (still) valid and the visa on it is not a fake one.

Thanks so much for this. I want to clarify, when replacing lost port, will it maintain same expiration period in the old port or will it have the extended period applied for in the replacement? Say 10years

When a lost port is replaced, it will come with a different number and expiration period to any held by you previously.
zub(m): 10:10am On Jan 10, 2024
but the lost port has closed expiration period. so I opt for 10years extension. will the new port reflect this extended 10years I opt for in my application?

A Nigerian port applicant born before 1992 will present an affidavit of birth from the High Court, while a birth certificate from NPC will be presented by any person born in Nigeria after 1992.

It is a fresh port, I applied before this new policy so I might do my biometrics and the rest at their office since I didn't do it online.

Yes, it's the same as declaration of age. An age declaration document is a sworn affidavit that is used to state the birth and age of an individual.

She captured Nov 30 and you expect it to have been ready by now? Imagine what you even said " They're doing it for a purpose"

Anyways let her go from on the 1of March by then is already 3months
Adaba0803(m): 11:48am On Jan 11, 2024
Ahh if 6 weeks is not enough for a port to be ready which backlogs did they now clear besides I've seen people pick up in 3 weeks in same location I did my own in a different location and I got it in 2weeks.
