Here's how mine was done.

This is well away and acceptable. Like already said, no plan is perfect. But to me, the way I reason, a toilet should not be inside a living room.

I tossed and turned on this issue with my architect. Your idea will work too. For me without need for the burglary as the residence is within a micro estate and patrolled.

You welcome. But next time, not only You but others, always query your Engr/Artisans when a quotation is sent to You. So we can Know how to address your questions accurately.
Concrete Septic Tank system is always costly to erected. I can't say the Quotations is outrageous but you can talk to him to beat down the materials and workmanship fees.

Well! I don’t have much says on workmanship cos I don’t know your location. But concerning materials,
Granite- 10tonnes(more than enough)
Sand-10tonnes or 1load of tipper
Iron- 8mm 6lengths for (stirrup of the 6 columns and chain beams), 12mm 20lengths( both columns and the slabs (decking)
Blocks-9” 150 pieces
Cement-40bags
Binding wire-10kg
3” nails- half bag(more than enough)
Nylon-optional
Waterproof-optional

I'm a professional,the best advice, use pillars, either 9inches or 6inches, pillars or columns is very important in every building, pls take my advice.

Like u said, u want to cut cost. Use 6 inches then use pillars

Good evening everyone... When giving a contract work for soakaway, should one be worried if materials will remain? And should chambers be cost with the soakaway? Cos I was charged 570k (after plenty negotiations) for soakaway...only to be told this morning to call plumber for external piping and will pay additional fee for chambers

I don't know the dimension, I only told him I needed standard soakaway where cars can comfortably pack on..

Good morning everyone. A friend of mine just started this project on a slopy land. The back of the building has a foundation of 6 coaches
Double walls were used in all the sections at the back before it was filled with laterite( this cant be seen in pictures). DPC of 6 inches was also done.
Is this foundation solid enough? The land is not water logged and he’s planning to build a bungalow.

Well he said I should not worry about materials or anything since it's a contract work, his job is to deliver the soakaway and I will pay for piping (I know I will pay for piping cos that's the work of a plumber) and also for chambers (this, I want to be sure that it's should come with the soakaway)... I am currently not around to supervise the work)...
