PPR - port Request: Once your application is approved, the visa office sends you a letter requesting for your port so they can affix a counterfoil on it.

IRCC - Immigration, Refugees and Citizens Canada: Its like Nigerian Immigration but that of Canada

Webform - This is a form available for you to fill and submit to IRCC based on your request. It could be maybe you have an update to your application you want to send to them, or you want to ask for application status, etc. Think of it like form.

IOM - International Organization for Migration: Medical Institute in Lagos and Abuja where you do your medical screening for purpose of immigration. There's also QLife

Nairobi Office - This is IRCC's office based in Nairobi, they are mostly responsible for processing Nigerian Study Visa applications

Upfront Medical - Typically, after you submit your application to IRCC, after some time, they send a request for you to go for medical screening. At this point, finding a close date might not be possible. In addition, it could take some time for your results to get to IRCC and for your application to get finalized. So imagine this extra wait after waiting for months to get an update on your application. Now, upfront medical is pretty much going to do your medical screening even before IRCC requests for it in order to save time.

MP - Member of Parliament: Think of them like House of Rep member in Nigeria. So in cases where an application is taking too long, people the MPs within the area of their school to help them get from IRCC. The details might not be lengthy but it more often than not has information that isn't on your application portal. Some postulate that it triggers an action on your file - especially if it's past the standard processing time and I think I agree.

CBSA - Canada Border Services Agency: Pretty much border control but the reason you'll see this here very often is because.... I'll get to that. You can order something called GSMS notes from IRCC. These notes contain detailed information about your application and people use this to travk the progress on their application. Now you can order your notes from CBSA and this typically arrives in 30 days standard. It contains pretty much the same thing you'll get from IRCC. The GCMS notes ordered from IRCC takes like 30-300 days now. Even that 30 days no sure.

MBA - Masters of Business istration

Yes you can submit to other locations. When you get to the selection of office field, just choose another office aside Nairobi. You can only submit one webform to one office at a time.

I sent emails to Beijing Accra London Lagos and Abuja and Nairobi on Wednesday and recieved my PPR on Thursday.

Plus layovers it's roughly 22hrs

It took them a week to receive the ppt so I'm thinking it may take another week to return considering that it may go through Abuja before it gets to Lagos.
Hopefully it comes straight to Lagos and not through Abuja and save time.

Order your notes, either gcms or cbsa. an MP from the province(particularly the city) your school is located. I would suggest you also go and do your medicals but try the first two options. Goodluck

I recommend Abuja. Abuja is now issuing counterfoils. So there's no point submitting to VFS Lagos since they'll still submit to their Abuja office anyway before dispatching to the embassy.

Guys for those people that don’t have access to the email their agent use to open their application or their application portal

Please incase you want to send a direct mail to IRCC from another email address that isn’t the one you use to open your application. Kindly attach a consent form signed by you just the way it’s on your port and indicate you are a representative.

You can use your brother name or anyone as a representative, but you the one sending the mail.

If you don’t do this IRCC won’t attend to your email or even give you any update concerning the application, because you using a different email.

Only the location handling your request will respond. You are just fine with Nairobi as the primary processor and Lagos as the secondary processor

The processing time is now 12 weeks..You have no control over the processing time/stages so all you can do is wait.
Mails/webforms you send within the processing time may not get a response but you can send them if you wish.
If your app exceeds the processing time without a decision, you can send emails/webforms as often as you want for .

Just be careful so that the of this thread don't delete or ask for your profile to be banned. People have lost their s for attempting to redirect traffic from here to WhatsApp, market stuff etc and and some have also come back here to complain of being scammed.

This is the response anyone gets when making these kind of enquiries. Only an MP can specifically tell you the stage of your app if they wish to otherwise they will give you same generic response like IRCC does.

The best you can do is to keep reminding them, change your write ups, email subjects and with time a decision will be made and updated on your portal.
