why work for an organization that can't regulate electricity nor improve electricity generation and supply in Nigeria? of what use is NERC in the first place? discos have been ripping consumers off their hard earned money while NERC officials looks away. Both NERC, Minister of power and Buhari should fvck off, they can give the position to politicians and their children. |

bigiyaro: be arguing there, people who went to schools where there were no strikes graduated at 21-23, the ones who got top grades were immediately recruited and have been working for 9 years. They only want 1 person, there are hundreds of people that meet the requiremtns, and they will choose 1. I am not saying it is fair or not but that is the reality!!! There are people out there (hundreds) that meet the requirements and they are only looking for 1. |

Why are you helping them validate the fraud? You know the positions are already filled and they just need you the son of a nobody to send in applications to make it seem like it was a legit process. If nobody sends applications to these ruse govt job openings, it goes a long way in making a statement. But no, you folks are all expecting a miracle, each person is hoping to be the lucky or divinely favoured one, thereby making the facade easier to continue by the corrupt political elites

casualobserver: Age discrimination should be illegal, just like gender discrimination. Countries like South Africa, US, UK etc have laws against age discrimination. For a country with a high population and a very competitive labor market, people should be evaluated on the basis of their competence and not their age 3 Likes |

socialmediaman: clearly you are not qualified for the job. if you are a graduate and you actually got a quality education, you will realize that if you have 9 years experience you will be at least 30. There is nothing illegal is asking for a certain number of years of experience. Young Nigerians should realise no one owes you a job and an employer has a right to dictate the requirements for any position he wants to recruit. The employer knows the role and what qualifications/experience will satisfy the role. It is incumbent on young Nigerians to know the job market is very competitive, you are competing with people who studied abroad that graduated at 20-23 and went straight to work. It is up to you to make sure you dont waste your youth....again no one owes you a job!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

They are basically looking for graduates from foreign or private universities. They are the only ones who can meet this requirement. You’d need to graduate at the age of 20, do your national service and start work immediately in finance to meet the minimum age requirement. Is this possible when you factor in strikes?

casualobserver:Oga i graduated from a federal skul with an excellent grade at 24 due to strike(never had any issues in school)... my school a federal skul posted us for nysc after few months of graduating last last finished nysc 25-26.... now applying for a job from not just any employer (the same federal government) who knows all dis and setting all this requirements.... it is pure wickedness....why didn't da set same requirement For Npower?? Well I'm not surprised is it not the government of Nigeria again, anything is possible.... If ur on same boat with me don't let insensitive comments lyk this deter u, keep hustling don't wait for white color jobs like this,,, it is a race to fend for ur self and family. GOD DA, GOD GO BLESS OUR HUSTLE..... if u go find this guy out wherever he is today na through connect. He doesn't know what we are going through |

Iboyx: Dont be annoyed but all that one is story. Now you understand the impact of bad governments in your lives and future. I dont mean to sound harsh or brutal but welcome to the real world!!! Nobody is going to care about your personal circumstances, an employer needs a graduate with 9 years experience aged 30-32, hundreds will apply, your application will most likely never be looked at because once they see your age or years of experience they will discard it and if it is a digital application and they are using HR software, the software will discard your application and not shortlist it. it is only if they dont have applicants that they will start to look therough those who dont meet the requirements but in a country where there are no jobs, that is unlikely...... thats the reality of recruitment and the job market. So instead of complaining, try and make up for your deficiencies, nobody cares it it was your fault or not. You dont meet the requirements, you dont meet the requirements. i am not being insensitive, i am telling you the hard realities of life!!! You seem to have a sense of entitlement. |
seyigiggle: 4:20pm On Jun 16, 2022 |
this is very possible, but limited by the time i clocked 32, i already had 11years working experience. started working at the age of 21 with ND and continued my education while working. |
casualobserver: 4:22pm On Jun 16, 2022 |
snoopz: Now you youth are realizing the damage succesive bad governments do to your futures and why it is important to vote good leaders not tribe or religion! ASUU has been on strike, youths are not protesting, university wants to raise fees, you protest. When they get tp 34, they will apply for job reuiring 9 years experience and they wont get it because thousands of their comtemporaries who went fee paying universities without strikes are ahead of them because they graduated when normal people should graduate. |
Iboyx: 4:23pm On Jun 16, 2022 |
casualobserver:If any1 has any sense of entitlement that's u... Well I don't blame u at all....I know the reality but the truth is the truth..... Its crazy to ask for such requirements knowing the situation in Nigeria..... I doubt any sane climb puts age requirements as a means to filter down applicants. God Da and we go make am sooner rather than later... with or without white color jobs very legally..... DONT BE INSENSITIVE... same way it was easy to climb up same way its easy to fall down... |
