Hello. I got into FSU-FAMU program too. While GRE and IELTS aren’t required for Msc, they are required for PhD applicants. Masters students in FSU or FAMU are not funded if you’re interested in any funding.

What of GA?
And please how long does it take to get a decision from FSU?

The Engineering college is different from the school so I can’t say anything about other programs that aren’t in the college. FSU and FAMU share the same engineering faculty. Master’s degree students are not considered for funding. If you can get GA from another department, that will be good. Even we PhDs are struggling to get funding. The only funding available is via RA which are very competitive. I’m still in the pool sef. TA is just partial funding. ission decision took a month.

Again what he did was not a review at all. If the person hadn’t gotten his/her visa already. He could have been demotivated by what you called a review. Review transcripts as a third party and not as the VO sharing the visa…

Anyways, that person got the visa with the same review that said he could not have gotten it

He/she got the visa by grace not because the transcript was perfect or anything. Visa approval is by grace! May that grace come upon everyone of us awaiting for same.

In case you are not financially bouyant enough to for GRE, why can't you do research on schools where GRE is not required to gain ission in your prospective course(s) of study?

I heard that schools that offer waiver don't Offer funding? Seriously, I need full funding with GA.

I applied 03/03 and was given ission 09/03. ed my department regarding GA but was told have ed the deadline. So i am hopefully waiting for the international student funding i applied for.


While you wait, you can apply to Michigan Technological University, no Test nor application fee required.

Sir...I just finished service this February, 2022. The only work experience I have had is my nysc teaching experience. I studied Zoology and Environmental Biology. Had a gpa of 3.81....so I don't know whether it is high or low. Lol. Although, I'm still job hunting now, although I'm mostly looking towards graduate trainee positions. But I want to know how this applying of masters work...it has always been my dream to work and study in the US. I only have my final year project which I have not published yet.

3.81/5.00 right? I will advise you to go and write GRE. My CGPA is very close to yours and I just got a partial funding so far. Let me state that I didn't write GRE but I submitted IELTS result. i have 4 publications too. I am expecting two more schools' decisions right now.

Visa approval is based on whether you meet established immigration criteria for a visa class. Nigerians aren’t the only people to obtain US visas. People of other religions, and no religion at all, are granted visas daily.
