Please does it usually take this long for added spouses to get BIL? My spouse was added, and her medicals ed since January, 14th 2022. It is two months down the line and even after several emails, no BIL yet. I am just curious because I see people whose spouses get BIL not too long after their medical is updated as ed. What else can I do to facilitate its issuance? My V.O. unfortunately is now Montreal

Congratulation!!! this was pretty fast relative to what's obtainable these days.

She sent documents to add spouse in August last year. They added him in February and sent BIL just last week. Just hope for the best and sit tight.

Feb 18 arrived Abuja vfs, they sent the tracking ID
March 9 port arrived Accra VFS
March 9 enroute to Accra ircc

It should get there by next week
Then it will spend two weeks there for stamping
Afterwhich it would be returned back to VFS Accra then VFS abuja the courier pickup..
So we have about 4weeks to go

Yes,primary applicant completed form imm008. Then, the pry applicant, each applicant that is above age 18 will complete the IMM5406 form each.then you will include other requested documents.

My port was delivered to London since Last week Wednesday, but yet to hear anything from them in of tracking number. Others we submitted together have gotten tracking number.

I am considering sending to London as well. Can you share any relevant information, please? I sent an email to the VFS office last weekend but I am yet to get a response from them.

The word on the street is that you can........so long as the visa is in the port already. If you happen to renew before you land, then travel with both ports......is what they say.

For those of us already in Ontario with open work permit with spouse graduation still more than a year and came in as business owner (Managing Director) in Nigeria. Which job is ideal to enter the pool with the job offer OINP stream given my long experience as MD. I have evaluated my Masters and IELTS and they are good. Will our presence in Ontario with having job offer, Ontario G license and spouse schooling in Ontario help get nomination? The uncertainty makes one wants to take advantage quickly.

Goodmorning all, please has anyone submitted cash certificate to IRCC without issues? I just ed i worked as an officer years back, but it was more like a volunteer job for my uncle, so he was paying me cash at intervals. I want to add it to my NOC but not as primary.

3. Must the reference letter of my last job start from the first month salary or i can print any 6 months within the first year. I started April but was paid May. Can i print june to december?

1. Search NL for "cash certificate PPR". But a job must be either paid or voluntary...not both IMO.

2. I don't think any province does that....but I may be wrong.

3. Question is not clear. The ref letter can indicate total amount paid for the period of employment or per annum. Up to you to select a sample of pay slips to include in addition to the ref letter, I guess.....so long as it corroborates the info in the letter.

We learn something new everyday. I never knew that each day of pre PR temporary residence counts as half a day towards citizenship. This is another incentive for people to try the student route.

Just to add that there is a one year cap on Pre-PR temporary residence. Meaning, you do not get residency time of 2 years for temporary residence of 4 years to help with citizenship application. The max is one years no matter how long you have stayed as a temporary resident before PR.

For those who want information about VFS CAIRO

Gather all documents required by IRCC and VFS Cairo:

The package must contain per applicant:
1. Your original International port
2. The printed port Submission Letter (also known as port Request Letter).
3. All the documents requested in the port Request Letter.
4. VFS Consent Form – signed and duly completed (fill page 2 and the upper part of page 3)
5. Proof of payment for Service Package Transmission (13.17CAD or 161EGP per applicant). Please add a little buffer as they usually ask applicants to make extra payments. So you can decide to pay 14USD or 170EGP. Make payment/transfer to:
o Bank name – Al Etimad Modern
o Bank name– CIB
o EGP No.: 100017188768
o USD No.: 100017188838
o Swift Code: CIBEEGCX018
