Please can anyone help me with the process of validating NIN. How long does it take? I ed my children in Dec last year, when will the validation be done? Thank you.

Hello house.I have 3 names(first,middle and last) on my NIN but 4 names(firs, 2 middle names, last) on my old Intl port and I need to renew. all my credentials have three names. Please is it safe for renewal or how do I address it(as i prefer to have just the three names). Please anyone to advice on what I can do.

Go to any NIS centre nearest to you with your NIN slip, old port and other ing documents. Meet the guys at servicom and lay your complain. They will tell you what best to do

Just go with the small white paper slip that has your name and collection number on it. Once you get to the collection centre, hand it over to an officer who will check if your port is ready

I have come to testify that DIY actually works o. I initially wanted to use an agent I was referred. Infact I was at the point of payment to her when I check and saw this thread. My dear NLers, I eventually paid online on the 5th of January, 2022 and took the advise of somepeople here to go even before the appointment date. I went back to the Ikoyi port office on the 7th of January and used strong head to ensure that I submit my documents and capture that day. At the pont of capturing, I saw on the monitor facing me that my collection date was 12th of January, 2022. Come and see me smiling na.

I went back there on the 12th with the paper given after capturing and was told that my file wasn't submitted. Chai, I wan cry. I was directed back to servicom and took my file to the capturing room and they did some confirmation and I was told that it was okay. I went home but a few days after I started engaging NIS on twitter after the ban was lifted, they eventually responded to me yesterday, saying my port was ready.

I just collected my port a few minutes ago and it was actually issued on the 13th of January, 2022. I never believed that getting a port would be this quick without any bribe or mago mago.

In all, I spent just N26,500 for 32 pages.

port fee: N25,000
Paystack processing fee: N1,000
Notary public seal: 500 ( This was done at the mobile court inside the port office)

My friend just did last week and paid online already, but was issued March 20th for Capture Date.

I'll appreciate a List of Documents to be provided on the day of Capture.

I previously had a date for March 7, 2022. I went to Ikoyi office this past tuesday (Feb 1). They told me to come on my appointment date. The man at the servicom even showed me some files and said the people will have to come for their capturing on the due date.


I was able to reschedule to Feb 15. So, I'll advice you keep checking if you can see a nearer date.

I already booked for an appointment, infact I booked for the 21st of this month which was available as at then, only for me to discover that they automatically shifted the date I booked to 23rd of March as I was about printing. I repeated the booking again, and I selected 23rd of February, still I was shifted to 23rd of march. So as it is now, I would have to wait for almost 2 months to do capturing.
