All these banks will be taking different decision. What does the Visa has to do with PTA. Did they tell them that one can just start working the day he arrives UK. If the CBN has given the order why not carry it out. Too bad

I went to First bank (13 Mediterranean Street, Maitama 904101, Abuja), I was told that I can’t get pta for my student visa because it’s written on the visa that i can work 20hours and because of that they can’t issue PTA to me as I’m permitted to work in Uk, I don’t under stand anymore.

Can someone explain to me better ??

It’s a family of 4 but my dependants husband and 2 children were not allowed to do walk in at ikj Tls as only students were considered due to near resumption date. They were asked to come on their appointment date.
As I have read here that main applicant’s priority can carry the dependants if done on same day but because ours was scattered so we decided to do another priority for my husband so that it can boost the processing of my children’s application when linked but for where? His came out on the 4th working day after biometric but we are still awaiting those of the children.
We have kukuma resigned to fate and patiently counting the 15 working days in order for us all to move.
I want to sincerely appreciate everyone for their contribution and specially that scoby2007 for helping us go through our application.
No agent was used as all information was sourced here. I wish the remaining applicants success . May we all prosper and excel in the UK.
To those asking or that may ask, I am the main applicant but I used my husband’s statement of and we all applied together but did biometrics on different days.

Please do I need to write a letter of consent stating that my wife has full access to the money in my bank cos she’s using my bank statement to submit her application and it’s actually scaring us as they say they want it in the applicants !! Don’t know how true this is!! Thanks

The BRP is what they will give you when you get to the UK. The vignettes you will collect now will have a 30 or 90 days validity. So no need to worry

If you do not have your fees, either by personal savings, firm commitment from family/ friends or on scholarship…… please do not test UK universities. Their sponsorship license is more important to them.

Our country man came to the information desk very disturbed and begging not to be sent back to Nigeria because cultist will k*ll him.

He was unable to pay the 50% fees pre- registration and had written to the school to defer his ission for a year (after landing). The school in turn withdrew his ission and sponsorship ( as HEP with a track record) and reported same.

UKVI has cancelled/withdrawn his visa.

Who school help right? If one fails to for their program, same applies.

If one chooses to be in the category that cannot travel anywhere (even back home), cannot work, cannot rent, always watching your back…. Then by all means.

Also, some schools insist on balance 50% as one payment, no installments. Check before you apply.

I already have offer from a school and will be paying deposit soon but my port will expire next year August and I am confused if to continue using it like that or renew it now before applying for visa so as to avoid any future issue(s) now and especially when I am already in the UK.

Provided you’re applying together, she can use your . I am the main applicant and I used my husband’s for my application, my husband’s and my children. My husband and I have gotten ours cause we did priority and we await those of our children cause theirs is standard.
Let your wife just state that she’ll be presenting your statement of as evidence of funds for the family. Snobby 2007 also advised we make a letter with that red seal stating the money would be available for my use in the Uk which I did.
No issues at all, no nonstraightforward mail, no interview. I was also scared like you when I wanted to apply and I asked multiple questions here and someone that use her hubby’s SOA and got visa answered me. All the best

this is the first of its kind. This is very strange. PTA is your right as a traveller if you have a return ticket and a valid visa. These banks are just trying to frustrate Emefiele.

Yes, you can do other unskilled jobs before ing your PLAB 1 and 2. If you do not want to work in a care home you can do a 2 day Phlebotomy Certification course( costs about 250 Pounds) and try to get an NHS job, as that will give you an added edge when you get your full GMC registration.
Don't forget to go along with your police clearance certificate, if possible. If not possible there are means to get it legally online.

If anyone is having issues with delays in regards your Form A or PTA , send an email to your banks head office stating the urgency and in same email copy CBN and also copy the local branch if your have the address. Email address for CBN is [email protected] and[b] [email protected] [/b]. They will sort your issue out in record time after your email.

this is true. They respond sharpallyyyy. Try not to do it when u are about to travel in 1 or 2 days.
Include ur phone number and the particular branch amongst other details in the complaint email
