You won't get captured same day if it is DIY. I guess that is cos of NIN & online payment confirmation. Even those paying runs money for fresh port have to wait till after somedays or a week as well before they can capture and if you go for capturing without that you will be sent back when you get to the room cos your file will have no stamp /signature till it goes thru necessary desk. As per vetting you don't have to wait till the interview date,you can try sort that out tomorrow

she's picking if I call but still making me feel guilty like she doesn't know what she's doing. I've always been the one calling, no update from her personally if I don't call. I would've done that long ago, but the middleman also said I should be patient that it's not the first time of working with her. To me I feel she's playing him but the man isn't aware because he doesn't know how the system works. I'm trying to save myself as well as the middleman reputation. I'm as confused as hell

So I planned to share my experience from Abeokuta with you guys.

Yesterday was my capture date, got there with all the required docs and went straight to the servicom desk.

I was told some docs were missing but not to worry the lady there explained what was missing.

1. There are 2 particular forms that you need to get from them and fill (note: I have heard some places would tell you to get this online if they notice you did DIY)

2. You need 2 printout of the payment page

3. You need to go with your old port if it's renewal.

The most important stuff is, go to the center to submit your documents days ahead of your interview. This would help you from getting delayed.

Abeokuta is cool thou. Quick service and lots of folks willing to help without expecting cash from you.

Lots of port are also available for collection, saw lots of port yesterday.

You will still find your way through, though you will settle for fast processing and note avoid security or common rippers, they are preys, especially for those one that does stay in abuja, but try to take your time not in hurry then you will get it done in the end, even if you don't mind ...waiting then you may get your port if you can afford to wait like a week or two. If you have someone to stay with, your stress may be less...just go and come back until they do everything. Hope it has been corrected on nin, BVN and newspaper publication?

I would have give you a guys number that work at nin headquarter in abuja. They are the one responsible for dropping of name faster and doing it but his problem be that you will need to go there one on one and stay on his neck else many immigration officer also give documents to him and stay on his neck which means competitions.

Get to the place before 2pm with your doc. Don't stay under the canopy outside , tell any officer at the entrance of the main office you are going to servicom desk. Arrange all the doc listed on this thread earlier, one of the ladies will check and arrange in a brown file for you. Also ensure you write application letter addressed to the CG of NIS and add to ur doc too. Once they give you the NIS file back with your originals in it, just find your way to the room before the capturing room and drop ur file for vetting. After that you will be asked to come back for capturing after a week .

I did as you have said today. I was told I will receive a text message for my capturing. Which might be in a week.
