You are very right. I am one of those that supposed to have virtual interview but I was omitted. I have already given up.

[quote author=NDSMELODY post=119032729] I applied for facilitator, I have got the email and now taking the courses that I have been enrolled to take. The email they sent me says they have enrolled everyone to take appropriate courses.

There is high tendency that this year some maybe considered for partial sponsorship but actually I don't understand what they meant by partial sponsorship

Partial scholarship can have different meanings. But in the case of PTDF, I think it may mean a process whereby your university will offer you a tuition-free ission so that PTDF will be responsible to pay only for your living expenses I believe PTDF is already doing this especially to scholars in and where they have strategic partner universities.

Why did the person deactivate his after dropping the message? I hope he is not joking too?

No, I think I know exactly who the person could be, and if it was really him, then he was not joking. He might be the same person that announced that emails would drop immediately last year via a WhatsApp group. After a couple of minutes emails landed and he just quitted the group quickly. This approach is exactly similar to that

If really FG is going after domant s' and unclaimed funds, then I doubt it if by now the government did not empty even the PTDF . Probably the money meant for the scholarship is not there.
PhysChemist(m): 1:49pm On Sep 07, 2020
Rumours everywhere and I blame it all on PTDF, they're the ones causing all this. But I see no wisdom in asking the same 2020 applicants to reapply again alongside with the 2021 applicants. First the process will be more complex and secondly it doesn't make any sense
Vivaqt:

There is also another news that nobody is leaving this session and there will be no list released, there will just be a new recruitment and those successful will be made to leave with 2021 scholars (ps. You have no way of knowing you're successful so you have to reapply)
I'm not the source oh, just picked one of the rumours flying around

There is news going round today that PhD interviews will be concluded either at the end of this month or next month and the final results will be announced in November. So the successful candidates will resume next year January, February or March depending on the country of study, while others may not resume until September based on the academic calendar of their chosen schools/countries. There is also speculations that application portal will be opened around December this year for 2021 applications, so those 2020 beneficiaries that are unable to resume around January to March next year will resume along with 2021 awardees in September 2021

Of course you have your right to believe it or not, but even yesterday I was together with one of those backdoor beneficiaries

Well, all I can say is they have been secretly giving scholarship offers recently

I am not here to argue with anybody. Just that I do hope that what he says is true. When someone speaks, you can't just say he is telling the truth or he is telling lies in as long as no one can present the alternative fact. Lets allof us be always positive.

Who is Engr. K. S. Obayomi and where is his source? Is the Telegram group not just something like this one where we live on speculations?

Do you know that PhD applicants were interviewed at the Bauchi center? How do you go about that?

With advances in technology, can't ptdf interview via Skype, email, zoom, etc?

What a coincidence. That's exactly what I have been thinking about. Only that they will not be able to authenticate candidate's documents.

Very credible. Go and read about some agencies and parastatals that FG is planning to merge. PTDF is first in the list

is your source credible?

Guyz I think that FG is planning to scrap PTDF

But is this also considered for PhD applicants? I pray they should not consider O'level scoring this year especially for PhD applicants.

Guy if not that PTDF is planning something sinister what concerns a PhD candidate with O-level? just you should know that the O-level policy is applied to give advantage to the children of the elites. You know they are the ones writing exams at the so-called magic centers so as getting As

These are all your speculations. As it is, shortlisting is based on your previous qualification. for example O-levels matters only to applicants for undergraduate studies, while class of bachelors degree is considered for M.Sc applicants (Ideally 2:1 is considered even though they mention 2:2 as minimum requirement). For Ph.D applicants they usually consider 'MERIT' in M.Sc and 2:1 (or 2:2 in some cases) in the first degree as their minimum requirement. Furthermore you should all know that, publications, awards/prizes and research proposal are considered only at the interview. Finally you should know that meeting all the requirements does not guarantee that you would be shortlisted. sometimes luck matters because the shortlisting is done by a software and it only scans and select only(but not all) those with minimum requirements and above. it only selects the maximum number of candidate it is commanded to. If you know anybody in PTDF ask him to authenticate my statement. I have witnessed some cases of of first class graduate were not shortlisted. so every single applicant should keep on praying while keeping his/her hope alive.

Even if the current government lose, that will be an opportunity for the PTDF officials to select their relatives and friends free of any constrain from above. we still remain the same Nigerians like always
PhysChemist(m): 10:40am On Jan 29, 2019
I really don't know about when the interview will start I have only heard about the shortlisting from one of the PTDF staff

Yes They will ask for publications and academic merit prizes/awards at the interview. They award one point for each article and you can get maximum of five points in publications
Godsbeloved123:

I guess that specification is for invitations for interview so during interviews
The awards and the publications will be checked

You people should go back to your normal businesses. While the FGC process is over, the list of successful candidates for UK program has already been sent to relevant universities for ission.
