The google products you know are free but there are many that are paid for. Funny to know many that they charge today where once free. So the mathematics was to make that aspect of the industry monopoly and then when they have beat off competition, they add a price tag. For example google custom e-mail cost about $20
by custtom email do you mean the new business email? most of google services are free. please can you list some google services that are paid for? then i will tell you and show you its free. all the same the right up was a personal view gotten out of personal research. cheers

Why most of Google Services are free.

If you are not being charged for a product, you are the product.

Google gives you a lot of free things. Those free things are Google’s payment to you.
What is Google? If you say “a tech company” or “a search engine company,” you are wrong. Google is an advertising company.
Google makes its money by selling you. You are the product. Google sells information about you to rs. The information they sell is way more detailed and complete than you think it is.
Everything you do with Google’s “free” stuff is recorded and analysed to learn more about you. Every email you send or receive through Gmail is scanned for keywords. Google knows what you like, what you hate, what you're afraid of, what you buy, and what political views you hold. They can deduce from your pattern of usage what hours you work and how far from home your workplace is. They know if you're cheating on your partner. The information they collect would make an old-school KGB agent green with envy.
Their business model is selling access to you based on this information to others. Not to government agencies or private investigators; that's chump change. The real money is selling access based on this information to people who want to sell you things.
Apple sells computers. Google sells you. When you deal with Apple, you are the customer. When you deal with Google, you are the product; Google’s advertising buyers are the customer.
A lot of folks have pointed out that Google does not sell personal files on its s. This is mostly true; what they're selling is access to you based on your information.
I say “mostly true” because Google does sometimes sell aggregate search data that has been “anonymized” (stripped of personally identifiable information). However, the information Google (and others) gather is so deep and so detailed that it turns out to be very easy to figure out which individuals the “anonymised” data belong to.

Step one: Listen Learn and Analyze

To start, you’ll want to poke around different social networks and do a little research on where your target audience spends time. Identify people/brands who have the audiences you’re trying to attract. They could be Top Influencers in your niche, competitors, top customers, business partners etc. Once you’ve identified and followed these s: Listen, analyze and compare what they are doing. What’s working? What isn’t?
Then ask yourself some questions like:

• How will I be unique while sticking to types of highly shared content in my niche?
• What opportunities have my competitors overlooked?
• What kind of content do influencers in my niche create/ share with their audiences?

Step Two: Choose your platform

Next, you need to decide which social networks you’ll sign up for based on where your target audience spends time. (Note: Not every business needs to be on every social network. For example: a gadget store don’t need to have a presence on Houzz, a home design social network.)
Once you’ve selected your social networks, it’s time to sign up and brand your pages. Be sure to keep them consistent.

Step Three: Research Content you will create and curate

It’s important to research popular content and conversations to direct the tone and topics of your social media posts. While it’s important to be unique, there are certain types of content that simply perform better in your niche. Know what they are, focus on creating/curating around those topics.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

• What are the most popular types of content in my niche?
• How will I attract people who read/share similar content?
• What resources do I need to create superior content to what is currently available?
• How can I repurpose what I already have?

Step 4: Identify your Management team

Now it’s time to decide who will manage your social media s, even if it’s just you, you need to know the responsibilities. Depending on your needs, choose your social media manager and/or team. Roles that you need to consider:
Who creates/curate the content we’ll use?
Who will posts content on a consistent basis?
Who will interact and engage with your audience?
Who will watch for and act on opportunities?
Who will build relationships with influencers?
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

• Do I have the time to do this? Will I need help?
• How many hours per day/ week/month will it take to meet my content demands?
• How will my team ensure seamless branding and messaging across all our social s?

Step five: Humanizing and Engagement Plan

It’s important to that social media is about being social, here how-to not seem like a robot online. Ask influencers and fans questions. (Bonus: Feature their answers in content) Monitor all your social interactions regularly and engage with the people who share/comment you content, they are your fans! communities and groups to create new relationships. Write like you talk, be spontaneous, transparent and reachable.
