Mr Alagbado, Rasaq's pic is right there. He is a human being. He is also on Facebook.

One British man, observed that some of we Yorubas love to tell ourselves lies, even in the face of truth, just to play empty politics.

We know the truth, but we will pretend and say 'black is white' and say it convincingly just to promote a certain agenda..
It is terrible. Change..

Leave Yoruba, out of your problems for now.

Face whoever is facing you and let Yoruba be

The rationale behind it is that an Aboki owns the refinery and can employ his people. Go look for Yoruba companies!

I am really surprised that some people think these guys are employees of Dangote Refinery.

These are mere labourers, engaged by CONTRACTORS who are executing projects for the company.

During the construction of the numerous Jakande Estates all over Lagos State , LASG engaged thousands of Youths from the North plus numerous local boys that worked as labourers.

Even down south, whenever people want to do menial jobs like digging graves, soak away pits or gutters, they would say 'go to Sabo and call the Aboki people'

When it comes to Nnamdi Kanu then it is easy to manufacture 1000 reasons why he should be jailed or punished.

Nothing stops the current government from ending this shameful trial now as everything is in the hands of the prosecuting team (FG). Tinubu and those in his kitchen cabinet knows that when it comes to Nigeria's terrorism crisis, Nnamdi Kanu is not the country's problem. The whole world is watching, it will be a clear injustice to convict Kanu to prison or death while the real perpetrators of terrorism and their enablers like Buhari continues to enjoy his freedom and the government continue to free "repentant" Boko Haram fighters. Let's see how this trial will end.

The case will continue to it's logical conclusion.

Give it to tinubu. He has made sure everything works out according to his dictate.

They should just allow him see out his remaining years in power. Buhari should be blamed in all of this, you know how greedy and corrupt tinubu is yet because of your indifference to your party activities, you allowed a dictator from Lagos to corner the rest of the country to his pocket

How else do you explain the fate of the opposition parties in Nigeria today. It's bizarre

But let it be on record that a precedent has been set by a Yoruba president. I just hope when another person from another tribe takes the mantle,I don't want to see those fake pastors and fake professors from the south west speak again.

Confront your problems and solve them, instead of looking for who to blames.

I guess you were in primary school in 2002 when Ex-President Obasanjo entered into a fake accord with AD, with the false assurance that AD Govs should campaign and his 2003 election while the PDP would not field any gubernatorial candidates against them but Obasanjo reneged on this arrangement, which liquidated 5 AD Governors and Obasanjo attempted to take over the AD ,using Sen Mojisoluwa Akinfewa Faction.

After protacted court cases, the Akande-led Faction f the AD resigned from the party and moved en mass to form AC

About half of the people in Lagos have no business being in Lagos. They would be better off if they relocate to their States and take advantages of the opportunities there e.g food production.

However, one of the most urgent needs ,Nigerians need is the end to Fulani killer Herdsmen.

What aboutism have no play in court cases.

The best options for you and other ers of Nnamdi Kanu are;

1) Get great lawyers to represent and defend him.

2) If convicted, get a great team to lobby for political solution e.g Presidential pardon

It is a shame that many Nigerians are yet let go of tribal bias and hateful sentiments even in the midst of wideapread hunger, insecurity and bad governance. I've observed how so many s of this platform especially those that are of Yoruba descent were quick to attack and condemn Nnamdi Kanu to death in the thread title Terrorism: Nnamdi Kanu Confirmed He Ordered Tinubu, Wike To Be Killed – DSS while the real instigators of terrorism and violence all over Nigeria are roaming free and been celebrated. One person in the list of chief instigators of violence that should come to mind is Buhari. I made a post recently titled Why Nigeria Must Jail Buhari Before Nnamdi Kanu on this platform in which I shared details on how Buhari in the lead up to the 2011 election incited a bloody violence that killed many Nigerians and since then till now, Buhari has never been invited by DSS, detained or made to answer in court for his role. If Buhari can walk free in the aftermath of such a bloody event, why should Nnamdi Kanu's case be different?

Apart from Buhari, there have been several armed groups and political figures that have over the past few years been granted amnesty or pardoned like in the case of Boko Haram fighters who were directly responsible for several mass killings and destruction in the northern part of the country. It is not surprising to me that since I made that post, it has not gotten the massive condemnation or calls to arrest Buhari from s as the thread made against Nnamdi Kanu on this platform.

Sadly, the biased and hateful sentiments towards Nnamdi Kanu is not only prevalent on this platform but it is also been weaponized by malicious political agents offline to fuel the divisive tribal propaganda that has continued to keep Nigerians divided and distracted from the bad policies of the government. Why must Kanu be sentenced to jail when others have done far worse and are free? An unjust sentence will only exacerbate the unrest with in the country while the real sponsors and ers of terrorism remains emboldened to continue their killing spree. If Nigeria must jail Kanu then Buhari (Fake one or real one) needs to be arrested for the violence he orchestrated that led to the killing of Nigerians. El Rufai, his sons, Niger Delta ex militants, "repentant" Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters, controversial muslim leaders like Sheikh Ahmad Gumi and any other notable religious/political figures that have ed or sponsored violence directly or indirectly within the last few years must also be detained, they must also face trial.... If the government fails to uphold justice by not prosecuting these people then it means Nnamdi Kanu's trial is nothing but a political witch-hunt, a testament of the injustice towards the Igbo people and a validation of his call for the igbos to leave Nigeria.

If this unjust trial is allowed to continued, it will only serve as a catalyst that will lead to the eventual disintegration of the country....

The trial must continue.

Nnamdi Kanu is NOT above the law.

As the election draw nearer, there would be alignment and re-alignment of political forces but there can NOT be one party in a large heterogeneous country like Nigeria with competing and contrasting interests, which can't be accommodated in one party.

We're not even talking about outsiders becoming Nigerians right now, we're talking about Nigerians being allow to be citizens where ever they're found.

Nigerians are already citizens by the constitution.

Please explain, how you plan to IMPLEMENT this indigeneship law.

Irish have Ireland, English have England! UK is a lose confederation.

Yoruba needs Yoruba nation for exclusivity. As long as you're in a country,
all citizens have equal right to vote and be voted for anywhere in Nigeria

I never said all citizens don't have rights but they aren't the same as indigenes.

Benjamin Kalu's Bill try aim at 'making non-indigenes to become indigenes'

This is very laughable.

Suppose ,Ikemefuna and Umar Aldo who have lived in

Benue State since 2010, without becoming Tiv or Idoma, want to become indigenes of Benue State, who will confer indigenship on them?

1) President

2) Governor of Benue State

3) Local Government chairman of their place of residence

4) Traditional Rulers of the towns they live in

5) Benjamin Kalu

Indigenship ,just as love or unity can NOT be created by legislation.

Granting political rights to people who have resided in particular state for some years doesn't in any way translate to ethnic cleansing or genocide. Those examples you mentioned are something entirely different from the subject matter.

The constitution of Nigeria already grant citizenship rights to ALL Nigerians.

You only need to be citizens to run for elections.

However, indigenship of a town or kingdom is by ancestries and cultural identities.

If you want to become indigene of Ilesha, you become an Ilesha person by adoption of their language, culture and ways of life.

You can NOT retain your ethnic identity and still want to be regarded as indigenes of other peoples ancestral homelands. This is fraudulent.

Unfortunately, you are either in a country or you're not. If Yorubas want exclusivity, they have to do it in Yoruba nation

You are fixated on Yorubas, instead of try to read and comprehend the issues raised.

Look at UK, despite 800 years of colonialism, coexistence, subjugation and inter-marriages, the Irish people haven't become English.

Yoruba is NOT the only people in Nigeria.
As a matter of fact, it would favour the Yoruba but ,by nature ,Yoruba aren't interested in becoming indigenes of other States.

It would put so many minority tribes in serious jeopardy.

In short, this law is dead on arrival.

Apart from Igbos and may be Fulanis, over 70% of Nigerians would oppose it.

This is a welcome development. It will increase integration and development of host communities even better because they will feel more connected to it. Anything that would bring about a progressive Nigeria, i am open for it.

It would cause greater problems than solutions.

Few large tribes, who obviously would be the ones controlling the FG could use it to strategically position their people across Nigeria both geographically and politically.

Read how Hausa-Fulanis settlers in Jos used the influence of their people in the FG to create Jos North LGA, which is predominantly for themselves.
They now use slots of Plateau State to gain employment and even political appointments.

In 2009, President Yar'Adua appointed a Kano man as a Minister from Plateau State. Indigenes of Plateau protested but all their protests fell to deaf ears.

In 2011, GEJ appointed Olusegun Aganga (originally from Edo State) a Minister from Lagos. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila moved a motion that he isn't an indigene of Lagos State but nobody listened to him.

How do you expect the natives to be wiped? The natives will always be very much higher in population so how exactly will that wipe out happen? You mean Yorubas will go and wipe out the Igbos in the east and the Igbos will go and wipe out the Yorubas in the west? Does that make sense to you? Some of you just talk without using your brains.

A “UK parliamentarian” is talking about indigenship? Isn’t that funny? Holding a piece of govt in a foreign land but stopping other foreigners from holding one in yours? Please define hypocrisy again?

The bill goes beyond holding political posts.

.
The real reason for recurring crisis in Southern Kaduna and the Middle Belt is the attempts by the Hausa-Fulanis to become indigenes of these places and enjoy rights and privileges of indigenes including ancestral claims to lands.

If you tell the Berom, Ngas or Anaguta, Agatu or Tiv that you want the Fulanis to become indigenes of their States, you would be beaten mercilessly.

You cannot want Nigeria to remain as one country without wanting one Nigeria. They're not mutually exclusive!

Yoruba ronus, it's either Nigeria stay as one country where every citizen has equal rights or Nigeria disintegrate and every go to their ethnic nationality as a small independent country

You people don't think DEEPLY about major moves.

You wrongly assume that this would be restricted to Lagos and other Yoruba States but you are dead wrong.

By the time, you start seeing Justice Tajudeen Ishola, Justice Ibrahim Mukthair and Justice Binta Aminu representing Anambra, Imo and Abia States in the Supreme Court or Chief Denis Obahiagbon appointed as Minister to represent Ebonyi, it would be too late to shout marginalisation since, everybody would now be equal and they can claim indigenship of these States, having lived there for ten years.

Indigenship evolve through ancestries and cultural assimilation, not legislation.

For instance, Sen Fatai Buhari (APC, Oyo North) is an illustrious indigene of Ogbomosho BUT he is a descendant of 18th century Fulani settler in Ogbomosho. Today he is a proud Yoruba man.

Gov Umar Bago is a Nupe indigene but his family is originally from Fulani Jihardists that settled and assimilated into Nupe society.

Politics aside the bill make a lot sense

It does NOT make any sense because;

1) Nobody can grant indigenship, FG or National Assembly can NOT grant indigenship . . . it is natural.

Indigenship cab NOT be enforced just as love and unity can NOT be enforced.

2) Citizenship is not the same thing ad indigenship.

Sodiq Khan (Long term Mayor of London), Rishi Sunak (Former Prime Minister) and Kemi Badenoch (Leader of Tory Party) became British citizens because they were born in the UK but they never became indigenes of England .

Only English peoples are indigenes of England.
