hbot and stroke recovery: stroke is a devastating condition that nobody wishes for an enemey. It ties down not just the patient but every other person in the family. Many would need even for basic things of life like eating, drinking, self care etc. A severe stroke patient cannot be left alone.
To avoid the complexities of caring for stroke patient then you must embrace new ways of treatment. Many of the stroke patients cannot meet up with the clott-buster medication timing.

The purpose of hbot here is to ensure that the fragment sticks. It can easily stick when blood and oxygen supply is sufficient enough.
HBOT sends in more oxygen and blood to the attached piece. It reduces swelling of the wound. The swelling can shut off blood supply and oxygen to the wound and cause the fragment to fall off. And that is why he is asking for . It will reduce inflamation, infection, scar formation and speed up the healing process. No other treatment offers this advantage in one package.

Do not give up yet. There is insufficient information to enable us know tne cause. You said the leg is short and thin. Is there a paralysis or spinal injury? See a neurologist to give a diagnosis. Medical history from birth is needed. Medical reports needed. Tests results needed. Any muscle weakness?. Can he use the limb or is he dragging the limb?. Is he limping? Go to a Teaching hospital for proper assessment and diagnosis.

hbot and wound flap: When we have a situation where the surgeon asks; to be or not to be? ; should I or should I not?; amputate or not amputate? Take note and don't hurry. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot) is known to save 75% of limbs earmarked for amputation. In other words: if 100 limbs have been booked for amputation but they all decide to go for hbot instead only 25 will be amputated and 75 limbs will be restored at the end of the day. It has been tried it before: Medical officer managed to suture together fingers that were dangling and hanging by a very small skin and flesh. The attached fingers had already changed colour to dark, dry skin, dehydrated, and finger had shrank with no pulse: Blood was not flowing and the fingers were almost dead! So we said lets try hbot. After four days the fingers started to swell (edema). This was a good sign showing that loading was more than offloading. The blood vessels were opening up. After 8 days the swelling has reduced showing that arteries and veins were open, The fingers regained their warmnt and patient was discharged from hyperbarics. Fingers saved. Mission accomplished.

My house was fumigated in August due to snake issues. But unknown to me, the stored water has somehow become contaminated with residual of the chemical (Dimeforce). I used the water afterward and noticed burning sensation on my skin so I stopped immediately.
