Senate President Godswill Akpabio received The President of League of Women Voters Hon Irene Awunah-Ikyegh President, President Women in politics forum Barr. Ebere Ifendu, Ms Ene Obi Foremost Gender Advocate and Action Aid Country Director (Former) and Founder TOS Network Chief Osasu Igbinedion, a gender rights advocate.
This visit was part of the series of advocacy call towards the age of the special seats bill currently awaiting public hearing at the national assembly. a bill proposed to amplify women’s participation in politics and have more women in elective positions. The move comes amid mounting pressure from civil society
The bill seeks to amend the 1999 Constitution to create dedicated seats for women at all legislative levels. Specifically, it proposes one additional seat for women in both the Senate and House of Representatives from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT, along with three special seats for women in every State House of Assembly. If ed, the provisions would kick in after the current National Assembly’s term and be reviewed after 16 years.
I would suggest that they encourage more women to contest for elective positions before they can now talk of special seats

A video that has now gone viral has sparked outrage online, as a woman boldly urged ladies—particularly Nigerian women—to attend her webinar on how to "use men."
In the video, the woman emphatically said:
“Use them! The message is very simple—use them! That’s what we do here. We use them.”
She went on to share a so-called "testimony" of a single mother who, according to her, ed the class and shortly after received ₦50,000 from a man.
In her words:
“They sent her ₦50,000—that was the first money she got. And today, she sent me proof of another ₦100,000 sent to her by the same man.”
The woman then encouraged more ladies to her webinar, stating it was "specifically and strictly for Nigerian girls."
“If you live in the diaspora, your session will be on Friday,” she added.
“But on Wednesday, it’s strictly for my Nigerian girls. I need to wake some of you up. and the webinar—you need to learn how to use them.”
She also called out single mothers, especially those making excuses about having three or four children, urging them to take the class as well.
“You’ll learn how to use them. You will use them,” she stressed.
However, her statements did not sit well with many Nigerians, who flooded the comment section with strong criticisms and condemnation.
Below are some of the reactions from s on X (formerly known as Twitter).

No they dont bill and you can't impress them with your money. I'm talking about the ones that worked hard and made their money legitimately. I'm not talking about the ones that come from a rich home.
ExAngel007: What kind of wives will my children marry in future? - Nigerian man voices concern over indecent dressing of girls at Children's Day celebration
A Nigerian man, Kaeren SimonOyantar Aver, has voiced concern over what he described as ‘indecent' dressing of some girls at a Children's Day celebration in Benue.
"The Children's Day was going on well before this J-Z stole the show. As parents, how do your children dress like this and come out comfortable without being questioned? This is just the few among many children who were dressed half naked in the midst of other parents, and I ask, where are we heading to?
Which kind of a wife would my children get married to in the nearest future?" he wrote.
Education expands the mind, and from Sen. Okpebholo’s words and actions I doubt that he has the requisite educational qualifications needed to understand concepts like the rule of law and the separation of powers.
Because *how do you disregard the Supreme Court, the Attorney General of the Federation and most recently multiple valid court orders* saying that local government chairmen were illegally removed and should be reinstated?” - AIT News
1. Since after the 2023 General election, the PDP has been wantonly swinging from one part of a slippery precipice to another, owing fundamentally to dishonesty and lack of trust amongst its key stakeholders.
To stem this ugly trend, efforts have been made to arrest this pernicious virus of dishonesty and treachery and enthrone fidelity to agreements with a view to stabilizing the party and moving it forward.
2. To this end, a meeting of the G5 was held in Lagos. In that meeting, I made it clear to the Governor of Oyo State, HE. Seyi Makinde, that he was the architect of our problems, pointing out to him that non-adherence to agreements reached was the bane of the party, and that he was the chief culprit of this anomaly.
At the end of the meeting, we resolved to bury the hatchet and make progress.
3. As a follow-up to the aforementioned meeting, there was an expanded meeting in Abuja involving HE. Seyi Makinde, HE. Umaru Fintri, HE. Bala Mohammed, HE, Bukola Saraki, and I in Saraki’s guest house.
In that meeting, I made it clear that I had no personal problems with HE. Bala Mohammed, except that he hides under the facade of Chairman of PDP Governors Forum to serially renege on agreements. Tensions rose mightily in the meeting and it took all concerned to calm frayed nerves.
At the end of the meeting, we came to some resolutions, including:
a. That Senator Samuel Anyanwu remains the National Secretary of the PDP in tandem with the Supreme Court judgement.
b. All legal matters relating to Rivers State must be withdrawn by the National Legal Adviser.
c. The suit on the State of emergency be withdrawn forthwith.
d. Nobody should deviate from the agreements so reached.
In the light of the foregoing, they pleaded with me to attend the stakeholders’ meeting at the Bauchi Government Lodge, regardless of my many engagements.
I attended the meeting and clearly reiterated my earlier concerns, and to this end and in order to resolve all other lingering and pending issues, a committee was formed, headed by HE. Bukola Saraki.
4. It is disheartening to note that even before the Bukola Saraki Reconciliation Committee began its work, the gentleman’s agreement we reached at Saraki’s Guest House was already being crudely violated.
To my chagrin, Seyi Makinde had connived with Peter Mba of Enugu State to orchestrate the summoning of the meeting of so-called South-East leaders to recommend that if Ude Okoye was not adopted as Secretary, they would pull out of the PDP.
I have since granted an interview to the effect that, that resolution of the South-East leaders can not hold.
Again, Seyi Makinde organized some people in the National Secretariat to insist that the Deputy National Secretary should act as National Secretary, in violation of the agreement earlier reached.
To attempt to give credence to this farce, a letter was written by the Deputy National Secretary, calling for a meeting of the NEC of the party.
Furthermore, the letter confirming the candidacy of the Governorship candidate of the party in the forthcoming Governorship elections in Anambra State, duly signed by the National Secretary, Senator Anyanwu and the acting National Chairman, was portrayed as rejected by the party through a rebuttal letter signed by the National Publicity Secretary, acting on the orders of Seyi Makinde and Peter Mba.
All these actions are in complete violation of the agreements reached and would not do the party any good whatsoever. On the 24th of May 2025, in Jos, for instance, a well publicized and properly attended zonal elective congress of the PDP was aborted because the letter inviting INEC to the congress was signed by the Deputy National Secretary of the party.
INEC refused to attend because the proper signatory recognized by law, that is Senator Samuel Anyanwu was not a signatory to the invitation notice. This is undeniably distasteful, provocative and annoying, to say the least.
5. I have painstakingly put out all these facts so that PDP and the general public would know the truth. I have been in this party since 1998 and have worked tirelessly for the survival of this party with all my strength and it is on record that none of these persons have done anything close to what I have done to sustain this party.
What is more painful is that I contributed substantially to most of these governors winning their elections, yet I have not made any personal demands on any of them and I would never do so.
Most importantly, I had thought that we could keep the trust amongst us, but since it is now obvious that they would continue to play games to the detriment of the party, as is the case in the current debacle in the North-Central zonal elections, I have now firmly decided to pull out of all agreements hitherto reached.
I have decided to fight on until justice is attained.

Once a governor defects to the APC, governance often mutates into a grotesque performance of entitlement.
The hunger to impress vanishes. Complacency creeps in like mold—quiet, stubborn, and destructive.
Innovation dies not with a shrug. Decisions that once sparked growth are replaced by ceremonial nonsense, photo-ops, and recycled rhetoric.
And now Akwa Ibom, a state that for over a decade stood as the eastern corridor’s vanguard of growth, risks being lobotomized—its strategic edge dulled by party loyalty over public service. I’m genuinely alarmed.
Thank God Enugu, Abia, and Anambra haven’t bent the knee to the center. That disalignment is a strange blessing—it keeps governors alert, uncomfortable, and thus able. Because when re-election isn't guaranteed by party machinery, performance becomes the only real currency.

Hello Guys, let me first of all say the cliché "It is well".
Now let we start.
I met my wife years back just before the COVID-19 year during which we dated for almost a year and then eventually got married just when the lock down was reducing. I started this story this way because I wanted to emphasis that during that period, we had so much time to bond and she was mostly available to me as she only worked on shifts 2 to 3 days per week.
We could sit and talk for long, go out at late nights and have great s*x as frequently as we needed.
This I think gave me a mirage of an anticipated marriage life so I didn't hesitate to take it a step further ones the lockdown was relaxed.
I also made it clear to her that her job would have to give way when their kids start coming as I had plans to assist her further her edu and also put up a biz for her.
Speed up to after COVID-19, she resumed work which till this day demands 5 days a week and 2 to 3 Saturdays per month all from 7:45am till 5pm. Often times she'd return home tired and would manage to make dinner and off to bed till the next day circle continues.
It became worse when we started having children. I drive them to school as early as 7:40am before dropping her off at her job. And then I'll pick them up by 5:30pm or 6pm when she's done with her job for the day (let me mention that this extends to public holidays and school holidays or breaks).
I got tired and in December 2025 I told her she has to quit the job. My plan was to enroll her back into a private school after my kids are Upto 4 years as one of them still depends on breast milk. I also gave her the option of starting a business which I understand is a dynamic move and might not be successful, but at this stage of my life it's something I could afford to risk and so I didn't mind.
I must also mention that out of a 100% sex, 50% is not mutual as I could sense she isn't interested and 40% is a denial as she would rather deny me of s*x with the excuse that she is tired.
Simply put, I'm tired.
I'm a Christian and divorce isn't an option. Also I can't cheat, but I am starved of s*x and my kids are not given the attention they deserve.
Pls advice me
So many sexless marriages these days...I rather be single than be in one.
