CreativeOrbit:The reason you were asked to read the statement again is because the person you quoted never claimed it was a JUSTIFICATION, and neither did they suggest the actions were RIGHT. They simply pointed out the obvious (albeit selfish) reason why politicians were endorsing the president. |

seunjungle1:If he wasn't different, all of you wouldnt have been crazily obsessed about him. Someone who in your words took "a distant third" in the election, yet the presidency can't stop talking about him, the rest of the opposition cant stop talking about him, the media can't stop talking about him. If you check topics and social media trends, his name trends even more than the president cos everyone seems obsessed about him. The only reason someone like him isnt president is cos Africa is a shithole continent. |

9JAMac10:Lol... So it's now racism? Which kind of paranoia, or should I say 'victim mentality' is this? Meanwhile there's absolutely nothing in that video that remotely suggests Cardinal Arinze, Obi or Fayemi were barred from entering anywhere. The entire 'bouncing' narrative is just a dumb imagination of some silly bloggers cos numerous other pictures show Obi and Fayemi inside the venue behind Tinubu and other dignitaries. |

benuejosh:Then why is it so difficult for those who arrested him to say so? Over 48 hours later, and with all the backlash, why has the efcc been unable to say anything reasonable regarding why he was arrested? Anybody with a grasp of how the system works in Nigeria, already knows this is just another case of individuals lawlessly using security forces as private thugs for hire. EFCC has probably spent the last 48 hours desperately trying to cook up a meaningful allegation to present to the public. 2 Likes |

proff010:Someone was arrested for complaining about erratic deductions from his mum's . Nigerians are reacting to the injustice and intimidation by threatening to close their s with the bank. The only thing you could deduce from this scenario is that the people speaking up are zombies? Who do you really think is the zombie in this case? |

Kobojunkie:I'm also working hard, getting paid handsomely, and living well whilst here on Earth. So why should I feel triggered by another person who's doing same just because the person bears the title of 'pastor'? Did anyone ask you not to work hard or get paid or live a good life? If that's your case, then your ignorance is to be blamed, not the pastor. |

Kobojunkie:So after I work hard and make billions, I should ride around in a wheelbarrow cos I want to please Kobojunkie and some other inconsequential fellows who feel triggered by my existense? |

Kobojunkie:This should be common sense! A man needs money to survive here on earth, whether he's a pastor or a devil. |

Many people who are fake Christians always looking for meaningless things to deperately justify their faithlessness! Someone said the pastor drives range rover is the reason he doesn't go to church no more as if to say the pastor was what they were going to church for. A labourer is worthy of his wages! Why e com dey pepper people say this labourer dey chop? If e easy, run am make we see! In the last 5 years, this dude wakes up by 4am to organise bombastic prayers for 2 hours every weekday. He's getting millions upon millions of view from all across the word on his multiple social media platforms. The revenue he gets from Youtube alone is sufficient to buy 10 of these cars each year. If e easy, run am make we see! Oh I forgot, because he's a pastor, he should ideally be driving a tortoise car despite making legit billions from his social media platforms. 5 Likes 1 Share |

bfire:If in your so-called 'educated' opinion, GDP per capita isn't a valid measure of economic performance, then please enlighten us; what do you propose as a more accurate metric for assessing Nigeria's economic woes? Perhaps we can also assess things based on your expert opinion. |

ObosiLandlord:Nigeria is currently grappling with a severe debt crisis, thanks to Buhari's reckless borrowing. But in less than 2 (out of a likely 8 ) years, the current regime has pushed us deeper into the abyss, racking up an additional $9.45 billion (~N13 trillion) in loans, while everyone with a voice has remained silent. Now that someone has finally dared to raise a legitimate alarm on how most of these loans are squandered on frivolous and dubious expenses, your best line of response is to focus on the character of the messenger? A matter of national urgency, and you're only concerned with attacking the individual raising the concern. And yet, you think I'm the one lacking in wisdom? Anyway, "Great minds discuss ideas, small minds discuss people;" so I'm not surprised at your your reaction cos it's very typical of Nigerians. We easily lose focus, veering away from pressing issues to focus on irrelevance - exactly what our plundering political elites want. Nigerians always fall into the same trap, derailing the real conversation with either tribal, religious or other irrelevant small talks. Whether some of you do this deliberately and tactfully to derail the topic or whether you innocently do it out of ignorance, I can't even tell. Meanwhile, a simple Google search should have cleared your ignorance; the same Ndume was also the only vocal senator against the reckless borrowing under Buhari. https://www.timesng.com/news/top-news/485230-apc-senator-faults-buharis-borrowing-plan-senates-speedy-approvals.html?tztc=1 https://punchng.com/dont-spend-foreign-loans-on-salaries-overhead-ndume-tells-buhari/ https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2021/10/10/bamidele-ndume-disagree-buharis-fresh-borrowing-plans/ |

ObosiLandlord:So the best intellectual defense your brain can muster for the current regime's fiscal recklessness is that "BUHARI and his cronies, of which Tinubu and his gang were largely a part, also recklessly plundered Nigeria's economy with irresponsible borrowings and debt"? So that’s your genius justification? A legacy of economic vandalism is now a blueprint every new regime must follow? |

Just watched the full interview where Ndume knocked Tinubu on lopsided appointments, but I'm surprised no one is talking of where he also slammed the government on irresponsible borrowings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IR-tphOPhQ?si=mv-Rqs4EvEHI3muZ For context: June 2023 - $500 million - "Women programme to scale up NPWPS" June 2023 - $800 million - "Cushion the effect of high petrol prices after fuel subsidy removal" September 2023 - $700 million - "Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment" December 2023 - $750 million - 'Renewable Energy Scale-up." June 2024 - $1.5 billion - "To Nigeria’s Reform for Economic Stabilisation to Enable transformation" ![]() June 2024 - $750 million - "Efforts to stabilise the economy to scale up to the poor" $9.45 billion (about N13 trillion) loans in less than 2 years despite Nigeria being in a debt crisis, yet there's not a single tangible project anyone can point out on ground to justify this. Meanwhile some supposedly 'bright' economists claim we're on a 'right economic path! Every sound person knows there's nothing wrong with borrowing if the borrowing is for productive reasons. However, none of the above-listed items seem to be related to infrastructure or productivity. Tinubu and his lieutenants currently seem to be on a shopping spree using Nigeria’s credit card. But as sickening as this might be, just watch how some people, many of whom along with their families, haven’t had a decent meal in weeks, will jump in to defend fiscal irresponsibility, purely out of 'the usual' sentiments. https://businessday.ng/news/article/tinubus-borrowed-for-ambiguous-intangible-projects-without-legislative-approval-ndume-alleges/?amp

Someone trying to be smart was asking what OBI would have done differently; without a doubt, OBI wouldn't be subjecting Nigeria to a deeper debt crisis by borrowing foolishly! |

Why is he in prison? Did he commit a crime? If yes, what crime did he commit? If he indeed committed a crime, then it isn't our business and shouldn't be news. 5 Likes 1 Share |

LordBiden: obiekunie01:Nothing wrong with the government running a business that will produce revenue, employment and profits for the state. I believe it becomes a problem only if the investment isn't something profitable or if it's a liability investment where the government has to start subsidising rent for businesses. Only other red flag would be if the government would be directly involved in its management. As long as the day to day management is concessioned to serious private sector managers, then there's really nothing wrong with this. |

One funny thing about Reno's obsession with Obi is how Obi completely ignores him. The second funniest thing is how even the Tinubu and APC folks he's desperately trying to ass lick also ignore him like a leper. 1 Like |

IME1:No need to go all spiritual about it. The simple answer to why the majority of men can't stick to one woman is that it is in the nature of man to 'desire' a variety. What the man eventually does with that 'desire' may be up for a different moral or social or religious or economic debate, but fact remains that regardless of how complete and wonderful his woman is, the man creature will always still desire a variety. |

Nicenancy:Variety!! No matter how beautiful, sexy, well behaved and/or fantastic a man's partner is, men will always desire variety. It's just the nature of the man creature. 1 Like |

The same courts that are all owned by Tinubu and his boys? - Supreme court in the pocket! - NASS headed by a useless Tinubu sycophant = In the pocket! - INEC in the pocket! - All armed forces in the pocket! - CBN in the pocket! By the time Tinubu is done with Nigeria, Nigeria would be a monarchy with an emperor at the helm. I sympathise with people expecting to unseat Tinubu in 2027. Except the ultimate call of nature happens, Tinubu wouldnt even leave power in 2031. |
