I realized I didn’t really need the school if I could earn that on a part-time basis. Feeling confident, I approached the istration, requesting to leave by 2 pm without attending the after-school program. They resisted, of course! I told them I’d rather resign, and guess what? They granted my request. They had no choice; it's hard to find a good math teacher.

Later, I got a third student who alone paid 50k monthly for three weekly sessions. I went back to the school and asked them to compress my schedule so I’d only need to come in three days a week; otherwise, I’d leave. Guess what? That was granted too!

My point is: you must make yourself stand out and become indispensable at the school. Let them see how valuable you are without having to say it. They will never treat you condescendingly, ever.

USA is a land of opportunities. If you are dedicated and can work hard the sky is the limit for you. Nurses have different options to make such amount - overtime, shift differential, Holiday pay, etc.

I am a health physicist, and that amount seems entry-level though varied from one State to another. From my findings, one has to be certified (CHP) to start getting better opportunities for higher pay. But the exams seem to be the toughest exam I know. May God help us all and show us the way in this foreign land.
